A 1960s cantina in 2023 simply has to be experienced like this, a piece of furniture from the 1950s or 1960s. Just like you saw it in the movies, but in real life, it's a place that transports you back in time. Simply visiting it is experiencing it.
This is my go-to bar when I want to have a nice cold beer in Colonia 5 de December. Very cool paintings on the wall including Frida kahlo and Pancho Villa. Electronic music box is available as well as a pool table. They have some basic food items on the weekend and usually have some snacks available during the week

Have been here several times! I usually go when I want to be with locals and be transported back in time with the tradicional cantinas in México. The owner is very attentive and most of the staff as well. Beers are relative cheap (35-40 pesos) and they keep giving customers different types of snacks as long as you are consuming... By the way, this is not a restaurant! They have live singers who use tracks and most of them sing Rancheras, they do it for tips! Also, they have a rocola (jukevox). Furthermore, it is common to see ladies practicing one of the oldest jobs in the world! Things I do not like: Relative small place and sometimes is very crowded and hot, no AC! Need to improve the restrooms and it is usually very loud! Have never paíd with a Cr. Card and not sure if they accept them...
Everything was fine except for a guy who touched my butt and moved the balls on the pool table. I pushed him and he fell, a fight broke out and they kicked us out instead of the guy.

It’s really a local place .. all this area is not a very good place if you don’t speak Spanish.
They lack customer service and need to fix all the details of their rooms, including air conditioning contacts, remote controls, TVs, and general maintenance.
Bar to find local atmosphere, strong, not suitable for people with limited criteria.
