I got the Taco al pastor, Beef steak quesadilla, Alambre al pastor, and chicken burrito. They were all Amazing! Especially the alambre al pastor. The chicke was delicious, but I will not get it again because the al pastor and beef are that much better. AND, our service from CLAUDIA was exceptional, especially on a busy night. Thank you! We will be back.

We think this is the best deal on the resort. The food is great. Definitely try the tacos al pastor. Another great choice is the Alambra. It is plenty to share for two people and comes with a choice of either corn or flour tortillas. The agua frescas are also really refreshing; watermelon is a favourite. It is located on the third floor of La Plaza on the balcony.

Great place to have some Mexican food for lunch or dinner. Taco “al pastor” is super great, so flavorful, soft, rich, and tasty! Carne asada is also great, so their melted cheese with chorizo. It’s one of the best places in Vidanta resorts to eat. The service is very good, though a bit slow when it’s busy. Your meal would start from some delicious salsa/pickled veggies appetizer. Try aqua fresca, they have different varieties.

Alambres are yummy skillets with meat choice, cheese, sweet peppers, onions, bacon. One is enough for two meals. Next time I try tortas! Great mariachi band who even accommodated the tipsy guy who kept screaming 'Tom Petty'. Really? They played a mariachi version of Hotel California which was enough to silence Tom Petty's número uno fan and a good rendition to boot.

Always the first place we visit when stepping onto the vidanta property. Always friendly and the food is good. (It's way better than taco bell)

Had the Gringa, horchata, tamales, and churros. Everything was delicious and the staff were amazing. They also had a nice selection of salsas.

Hands down best taco sauces.... they also offer tortas and quesadillas... I always struggle to decide what to order.

Best lunch restaurant in Vidanta. Literally the only place where you can find decent vegetarian lunch options by the pool. The poblano chili peppers made a great filling for the quesadilla and tacos. However, it is outdoor so be prepared if it’s hot outside. The agua Frescas were refreshing.

One of the simplest restaurants at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, but probably the best one. Amazing authentic tacos, unpretentious place, outdoor seating with a view, great selection of other Mexican dishes. It was not easy to find since you need to take the elevator up and walk past the shops, but we're glad we did, it's the only place we visited twice during our stay (aside from our building restaurant for breakfast). Very kid friendly too. Also easily wheelchair accessible since my daughter had fractured her ankle and we had to wheel her around. Highly recommended spot!

Best food at Vidanta. Let me clarify... Tacos Break is hands down the best food we ate while at Vidanta for our 7 day stay. We ate here at least once a day. The other food was amazing. But damn! This place hit the spot every time. Do yourself a favor and order every aqua Fresca they have available, order the guacamole, and order the alambres el pastor with cheese. You’re welcome. Liz, Lula, and Adan. Your service was amazing!

Of all the restaurants on the resort at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, this was my favourite for food and price. Authentic Mexican food with the best prices! The restaurant is outside on the top floor on the outside terrace and it's super cute with hanging lights and stars, vendor carts, live music, and a beautiful view. We love the quesadillas and the guacamole ❤️. Note: I wouldn't suggest the ice cream. It's one tiny puny scoop! The only thing is that this place is so busy and popular during dinner times that the staff are clearly frazzled and occupied most of the time so you don't get that personal service and the host can be a little rude (like 3/5 times we were there he wasn't the nicest). If you go early it's best, not as busy. Also when it's your first time and you arrive, you're not sure where the hosts are because there is not greeting table and the restaurant spans across the entire terrace so you're not even sure where to stand and wait. Therefore lots of people awkwardly standing in the center of the room waiting for someone to approach them.

I'm gluten free and our server was 10/10 careful for me. He even advised me the seasoning on all the meats have gluten and had mushroom tacos made special. Definitely the best thing I've had here especially when paired with the melted cheese!

This restaurant is located at the Plaza, inside of Vidanta, Nuevo Vallarta. So if your not a guest, you probably won't be able to enjoy eating here. Never the less, this open air restaurant is on the third floor of the Plaza. Depending on the weather will determine how the atmosphere will feel to you. The food is quite good. The ice cream is called Barrel Ice Cream, which means it's handmade, onsite.

We absolutely loved Tacos Break. It is a small outdoors taco shop. They do basic Mexican food. Tacos, Burritos, Fajitas, and you get the picture. They had great Al Pastor on the big vertical spit. They sliced it off and fried it up a little more and served it. Everyone was getting some. Food is the freshest and least expensive out of everywhere else on the resort. It was great. I talked to others eating here and people said that they make a point of eating at this place a few times during the week.

I love the fact that I can try three different types of tacos, burritos and pretty well everything else on their menu. I am glad the food has not been Americanized like some restaurants try to do for tourists. It is very inexpensive to eat there

A taco treat at Tocos Break. Had the Queso with different salsas and chips. We had street tacos. The best and so good. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The bill was also a pleasant surprise. Then down stairs for soft frozen yogurt with topping. Purchased by the ounce. This evening was very good. Recommend them both.

Love this place! Of all the places to eat on the resort, this my favourite. Why? The food is fresh, and the prices are fair - so many other places on the resort have ridiculous prices, but the prices at Tacos Break are affordable. The food is truly delicious and excellent - except the desserts. Other than the churros, the rest of the desserts are quite bland. But all the tacos, burritos, etc. are just fantastic.

Looks are deceiving. We THOUGHT we were getting ready to GO IN....NOT! Pastor Tacos were DRY & ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR! Not even the salsas helped. The Chicken Tacos were ONLY helped with the Salsa Verdes, a mix of the regular and spicy & Guacamole! The Guac on its own is a bland, creamy (like baby food), pile of green waste. No garlic, Cilantro or onions to be found! HAD TO add salt, limons & pepper to make it edible, to add to the insipid Chicken Tacos. The Chicken did have a touch of salt and Cotija, which was it's saving grace, along with the Beef. Love the Corn Tortillas but the Chicken made them too wet, PRIOR TO adding salsa and Guac. Just head to the standards: Panchos, Sonoritas, Reveluccion, Pepe's and such. Overall, Tacos Break is a one & done!

We can start with "deficient" because that's how the waitress service is here, she looks like the owner of the restaurant with tremendous frustration and no desire to work, if they don't feel like working that day they better call in sick. As for the food, neutral, tasteless, sauces that seem more like water with coloring and that's it. It is one of the few restaurants that I did not like the food and to which I did not and will not return when I stay here.

From Arizona, I know tacos. The worst Al Pastor tacos! I would never go back.

Unfortunately the vegetarian food we ate was horrible, almost inedible. The vegan vegetables dish (we added cheese) had NO SALT, ZERO FLAVOR. But the absolute worst part was the esquites “corn stew”…. It was disgusting. Stale cheese, grey colored corn that to be honest tasted like puke. And esquites/corn is one of my favorite foods!! I really don’t know what went wrong here but it was a terrifying experience getting this type of food. Their tamarind agua fresca was basically sugar water, so sickly sweet again it was almost inedible - hurt my throat. I will say their chips and salsa were good.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ate here Thursday May 30th for dinner. Me and the wife had 3 pastor tacos. Sat in my stomach like a brick. Thursday evening we couldn't go far from the toilet. As of Tuesday 6/4/24 we are not much better. One person getting sick happens, two at the same dinner eating the same meal is a pattern. BEWARE.

Our first time experience at this eatery was bitterly disappointing. More later. I checked out the reviews and was surprised at all the 4 and 5 stars from the international guests. Let me tell you that the name for this place should be changed to "Tacos Broken". I would be the first to admit once you're at a resort, expectations should be lowered for the food quality, but we left this place utterly disappointed. The tacos were so small, I had to wear reading glasses to find them, the burrito I ordered was so small I thought the other half will be served if I would come to eat again. Oily and greasy. How the flavors would be so unacceptable poor? You would be embarrassed if you were Mexicans and not knowing the difference between these fingers tacos and the real tacos elsewhere in Mexico. Vidanta management: temper your pride and perform a QA on the tacos you serve here...unsat for mexican nor international standards. What's good here? Hmmmm. The beer, the view, and the service. The rest of visitors who appreciate good tacos, heed this review's warning.

Honestly Taco Bell is closer to Mexican food than this. I understand people like this place for food that is fast, tastes familiar (Americanized), and cheap compared to the other resort restaurants but if you want Mexican food don't go here. The other restaurants are great and I love staying at Vidanta, the service was great at the restaurant too. But this place is just not Mexican food. My burrito was more like a wrap drenched in cheddar cheese and topped with lettuce and meat.
