Panda Express Ramona Reviews
This is a great place to get "in my opinion", good Chinese food. The outside of the restaurant brings a good look to the town. The staff are friendly, however, they forgot to offer us dipping sauces! So don't leave without it. Prices are a little high, but coupons will help immensely.
I went in because I haven't had Panda Express in a while and was really surprised at how much food I got for the money. The service was very friendly and good. The food was also very good.
We adore Panda. MY only gripe is that they, nor anyone else that I have found thus far do not have Moogoo gia pan
Always friendly crew. They do get busy at lunch and may take a minute to serve at the counter because they have a drive-through to contend with as well. Food is always good.
I love this Panda Express, the food is always fresh and delicious and you will not find nicer customer service than here! They are always cheerful and friendly.
First time at this facility. We were impressed by the cleanliness and size. Outdoor seating was awesome. Fresh air in the Ramona city always nice.
A fantastic addition to both Ramona and the Panda family. Clean facilities, quick drive thru, and fantastic staff. Order online and pick up inside or visit the drive thru to pick it up. Saves so much ⏲️!
Showed up at 20 minutes to closing and had my third entree fresh out of the wok. Pleasant staff even at the last hour of the day. Delicious as always.
Outstanding! Food is good, workers are very nice & it's very clean. Been going since the first day. Also love that they have a drive through!
There’s a reason Justin is the manager . Busy line but the man is calm cool and collected . Everybody doing there thing . Good work everyone !
The best teriyaki chicken ! It is super tender and tasty. I love the Walnut Shrimp and of course their chow mien rocks.
Yum!!! Don't order the beef broccoli. They seem to forget the beef a lot and just give you beef juice! 😋
This is absolutely the best Panda Express I have ever had… Food was really fresh and cooked perfectly. My two item combo was packed to the brim and portions were huge. I had the 2 item combo with Orange Chicken, Kung Pao chicken and chow mein. Would DEFINITELY come again.
This place has wowed me every visit Weather there crazy busy or it’s later in the afternoon I’m always greeted by eager seemingly well treated employees & there always willing to work with me regarding whatever my order is, very reasonably priced and tried to argue the best thing for your buck in Ramona, after a long difficult day of work, just feeding myself or my entire family panda express is our go to. I hope the employees know how much they’re appreciated.
Always good food, only takes a minute and your outta there
The food can be excellent. I really like the Beijing Beef. It has to be fresh out of the fryer though. The Beijing Beef I got last time was a little soggy. Still good, but not fantastic like when it's hot and crispy. Now the Beef with Broccoli is the opposite. I prefer my broccoli cooked. I ask if there's any at the bottom of the bowl that's been sitting for a while. If not the broccoli is hard and difficult to chew. Oh, and it is SOOOOO NOISY in there! I don't like noise.
My gosh, I just got back from a week long trip in the Caribbean. It was so nice to be able to get good food for a very reasonable price. I really enjoy the Beijing Beef. I like the beef with broccoli too, if it's adequately cooked. If it's been sitting on the steam tray for a while it's nice and tender, otherwise the broccoli is too hard to eat.
Great location! Food and service are great.

While they struggled after opening, this location has found its footing, it's consistent and if you ask for fresh something they are happy to cook it if you're willing to wait just a bit.
It's what you've come to expect from Panda Express.Clean restaurant with the usual fare. Liked an outdoor dining area which had a great breeze way . We can all appreciate that in this heat.
Used drive through...you have to enter from the side street...food good but slight skimping on portion size ...chow mien wasn't filling up container like other stores or would have given a 5....service was friendly and fast...good value.
The restaurant in question offers a dining experience that is generally satisfying but falls short of being truly exceptional. The ambiance is pleasant enough, with a comfortable atmosphere that is neither too loud nor too quiet, making it suitable for various occasions. The menu, while offering a decent variety of options, doesn't push any boundaries or present anything particularly innovative. The dishes are well-prepared, and the ingredients seem fresh, but there is a certain lack of finesse or creativity that might leave more discerning diners wanting more. Service is competent, with staff that are attentive but not overly engaging or memorable. Prices are fair for the quality provided, though not necessarily a bargain. Overall, it's a solid choice for a meal that won't disappoint, but it might not be the kind of place that lingers in your memory or becomes a go-to for special occasions.
While in Ramona we stopped through the drive through and ordered the 3 entree dinners for each of us to take back to our resort. The service was fantastic and the staff friendly. We had orange chicken, beef and broccoli and Kung pao chicken. The food was good and the ambiance was that of our resort. Recommended.
The food is excellent! However, I do have an issue with the string beans; the stalks and branches are still attached, which is unacceptable. This was evident in both the honey sesame chicken and the string beans chicken. Please address this.
Plenty of parking in their lot. Did drive thru. Friendly and efficient staff. Food was delicious!

We loved the orange chicken! As vegetarians, it was a great plant based option. Hope they bring it back so we can support the chain.
A little upset because I got a bowl and paid the dollar extra for honey walnut shrimp. I only received 4 pieces of shrimp…
Food here is usually good but I got there just before closing. It tasted like it had sat for a couple hours. Soggy, stale and barely warm. Timing seems to be very important when eating here.
Frequently missing condiments expected for certain food. Missing teriyaki sauce for teriyaki chicken, for example.
Orange chicken was great, I took a couple bites and started to move the chicken I then realized my noodles were chopped in half and was all vegetables. Not pleased at all wayyy too many vegetables barely any noodle
I ordered one of their specialty drinks and they only filled the cup 2/3 full. I asked an employee if she could top it off, and the employee told me it was so I could add ice and refused to fill it further.

Panda Express your food sucked last night! Mushroom chicken is disgusting. It's got sediment all over the chicken. Please clean it up or stir-fry it better! 😣😞😖 The broccoli and rice was underdone and everything was underseasoned. 2 stars for reasonable costs.
Man, the Panda Express in Ramona just cannot get it right. Their Chow mein has barely any noodle, pretty much just all vegetables. The walnut shrimp that you have to pay extra for is ALWAYS soggy and falling apart. I decidided to go inside this time so I could see for myself what I was paying for before I bought it, and the manager was rude. You've had enough time to get it together since you've opened. Ask anyone in town, they will all say the Panda up here is absolutely terrible. Never again.
Ordered a kids meal with Chow Mein and Honey Walnut shrimp. Received a decent amount of Chow Mein and but only 4 pieces of shrimp. If you already have to pay extra just to simply get the shrimp then you should be getting at least a FULL portion not no 4 lousy pieces. I was the only one in line too so it’s not like they were low on food or in a rush. Wouldn’t even consider this a a full side let alone the main part of my meal. Waste of time and money.

You would think by now reading all the bad reviews that the manager or somebody would step up & change things around. Just shows how much they care. People are consistently talking about the quality of food is bad & how they ration your food like they are about to run out of food when that is not the case. What a joke of a panda express.
We've stopped going to this Panda Express. If we want it we will only go to the one in Carmel Mountain by the Costco... they give you FULL portions of the mains that you pay for and always give you all the sauces and everything needed. The RAMONA branch, we've given them multiple chances as everywhere has off days, but everytime they only fill the main dish containers 1/2 way. Even when you pay EXTRA for the shimp you get home and they are cold and way less in the package than they should be. At others we've gotten the family meals and those containers are packed full. Even with a coupon (which they hardly give out anymore) we won't support the local Panda Express until they figure out they need to give the cusomer what they've paid for!
Their chow mein is always missing noodles and they might as well call it vegetable mein. It's always missing noodles. And it's only at this location. Sadly to say I rather go to Los Angeles locations than this local that is always missing noodles
Gone so far down, we lost two good Chinese places. Only pro is its quick, but don’t expect good portions, fresh rice, or it to be correct. I made a huge list but its not worth it
Had there steak and shrimp bowl with stir fry noodles,I think it was 8.79, four pieces of shrimp and Steak that I had to Spit out it was so Chewy! Never going to the Ramona Panda Express Again.
Way too understaffed, hire more people I waited 20 minutes for two plate orders. do better
the chow mein was over cooked and very dry,, they need a new chef the menu. looks great, but the food here in ramona sucks... the one in poway is hevenly,,
This is gonna be the worst Panda Express I've ever been to the customer service is horrible . They have no accountability when they mess up in order.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Panda Express due to the unprofessional behavior of the store manager, Mireya. While waiting, I witnessed her roll her eyes and make inappropriate, disrespectful comments about a customer who simply asked for fresher food. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of attitude, especially toward someone making a reasonable request. As a manager, Mireya should be setting an example for her staff, not openly disrespecting customers within earshot. The situation made the environment uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Because of what I observed, I chose not to stay and left without ordering. I will not be giving this Panda Express my business. Corporate should be made aware of this behavior and address the lack of professionalism displayed by management at this location.
Watch out for Panda in Ramona, esp if u use the drive thru. Went for dinner at 5pm yesterday. Ordered string bean chicken breast but ask for them to make fresh as the remainder in the bowl looked like it had been sitting there all afternoon. They agreed and when the new bowl came from the kitchen they dumped the old food on top and then mixed and scooped my order. Ended up with the old and new mixed in my bowl. Refused to take the serving as I had gotten sick twice before on this same dish due to the age of the food in the bowl. My husband requested a new order and the cook laughed at him. Refused to remake. Hubbie had them refund the money and did not eat there. Will NEVER go back. Have seen them do this all the time on other entrees as well. Staff was rude. What used to be a great place in Ramona is now on my no go list.
They do not give you decent portions of the meat at ALL! They charge $1.25 for honey walnut shrimp and then give you not even 4 pieces of shrimp, what a RIP OFF! Don’t go through the drive thru if you want to make sure you don’t get hipped. Better yet, DO NOT waste your time here!!!
Member who took my order via drive-thru was extremely rude. After getting home; part of my order was missing and the three entree literally had a spoon full of rice (small spoon). I went all the way back to have them correct and manager was rude and not apologetic.
I would give this panda 0 stars if I could the people working drive through have 0 customer service skills and never get the order right. Half the time I ask for chopsticks at the window they say yes and still forget to put them in the bag. How stupid could you be it's fast food bro it's not that hard.
My lady and I stopped here for dinner because we had a valid coupon to buy one, get one, bowl. We ordered but at checkout we were told they were unable to scan the coupon and couldn’t offer any discount even though all agree it was valid. The shift manager said she was sorry but offered nothing but “take it or leave it”. Nothing to offset it like drinks, etc. Most unsatisfactory.
Food is good but the employees are unprofessional and the manager doesn't know how to do her job. Forget getting proper service in the drive thru. They would rather argue with you than give you your food. You also better know what you want when you get there because if you don't they get snippy with you and rush you. You can have 1 order or they will refuse to serve you. Apparently it takes too long to make 2 different orders so you have to go inside, but arguing everything with you is ok that's not a waste of time.
As someone who enjoys Panda Express, I'd recommend skipping this one. It seemed nice that we were getting a Panda in Ramona, but this store has consistently delivered sub-par service or food. They will load you up on fried rice or chow mein at the expense of the real reason you went to there in the first place: the entrees. Other Panda locations are not nearly as stingy with the entree sizes, but this store regularly gives less than others, sometimes to the tune of half the normal amount. Premium entrees are no exception. Be prepared to pay an additional $1.25 for an unjustifiably small portion of food. Unless you are going there for the rice/chow mein, in which case you will get plenty of that. The quality of the food has also been underwhelming a number of times. Panda Express is fast food so it is to be expected that occasionally you'll get something that doesn't quite taste right, etc. But it shouldn't be a common occurrence, and at most locations it isn't. This store pretty frequently hands out entrees that taste off from the first bite. I like Panda,, and having one up the hill was supposed to be convenient, so I gave it more than a few chances. But between super small serving sizes to food that is either undercooked, overcooked or some wierd combination of both, the experience has been bad every time. I won't be going to this location anymore, and I'll be telling friends and family to avoid it as well.
