Veladora Rancho Santa Fe Reviews
Love everything about Veladora! Probably my most favorite restaurant in San Diego! They have the best service and the food is absolutely amazing! If I have one complaint would be that I recently went there for my birthday and the carrot cake is ridiculously small (smaller than a cupcake)...and on top of that cost us $15. Other than that everything is top notch!
Wonderful meal experience. Creative, colorful food and decent value for this type of cuisine. Knowledgeable, professional service. Cool Californian "ranch" decor, featuring wood, metal, and angles. A "6 star" restaurant by relative measure on this platform.
The food was original and very tasty but the portion sizes were a bit small. They have many gluten free options. Service was very good.
One of my favorite places.
One of the great high end restaurants in San Diego. Great atmosphere, service, food on one of the greatest properties in the world.

Beautiful restaurant. Great service. Terrific food. A delightful place. I had corn soup followed by roast chicken and loved it. One of our group had filet and said it was great. Risotto was just ok. Overall, a wonderful evening.
Set in a relaxed yet elegant ambiance, the service is excellent and the menu items delicious, authentic. A perfect setting for our small family reunion over a three hour lunch.
A bit of hassle to find, but worth the effort. The place is very fancy and elegant, and the food lives up to it. Great option for occasions. Great value for SDRW.
One of my favorite places. Great service, fantastic food. Exquisite setting.
We actually had dinner in the pony room area overlooking the valley and tennis courts. Service was amazing and food was excellent. They also offer 3 choices of dinner for our furry friends. Dogs are welcome at the Pony room. On Friday and Saturday night they have live music. Great place to go and relax.
Right next door to the Pony Room at the Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa. We had Thanksgiving lunch here and it was fantastic! The spread of delicious food was amazing and the service was spot on! They had everything you could want in a traditional Thanksgiving meal (turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, etc) but also had some other variety including a seafood bar.
High end elegant fancy restaurant with superb service and exquisite food. I had the chicken which was an amazing and delightful amalgamation of flavors. Wow!!! The "Putting on the Spritz" cocktail was also novel and delicious.
Love this hidden gem in San Diego. The Pony Room is where you can find all the locals. The atmosphere, service, burgers, and cocktails are amazing. There's nothing like it anywhere else in San Diego!
We enjoyed multiple meals here. Consistently exceptional service. Very good food: high quality steaks and fresh seafood. Located within a resort. Reservations recommended.
Great location, atmosphere is incredible. Food was fantastic - I had the Duo of Iberico - it was delicious. A little on the pricey side, but you should expect that in RSF.

Beautiful atmosphere, very nice and attentive staff, delicious drinks!! The food was very expensive, sparse and just okay in flavors. We got the local crudo, which was very bland, corn soup, had a nice simple flavor, farmer's market salad, decent flavors and interesting, and the filet, cooked to the perfect temp but was only 2 thin slices with a big skillet fried mash potato and mushroom I believe...nothing was amazing :(
Our food (3 plates of the fillet mignon) was cold, the meat was ok but the potato and vegetables were cold, even after sending them back they came out cold again. For the price they charge we should be able to expect better quality.

Literally at their Christmas buffet right now, already asked them if I can bring my dog during reservation and she said yes they could sit me outside, thought I was all set. Somehow the arrangement was messed up and they could not find us a table outside when we showed up at our reservation time. So we were given some random table on a different level than where the restaurant is, just the two of us with my dog sitting on a random table, no Christmas decorations, walked pretty far and had to go through multiple flights of staircases through puddles of water to get and bring back food, it felt dangerous, I did worry about slipping down the stairs with a plate of food multiple times. What is the point of making a reservation 1 week ahead of time and asking them if I can bring my dog during the reservation if none of these was being taken into account. And the whole point of getting Christmas buffet is so I could be surrounded by Christmas decorations and atmosphere, but I might just as well getting a togo box from that place and ate at my home instead, if I were just sitting at a random outside table that was not even part of the restaurant. I made a joke that I felt like we were being placed at the bottom deck like in the Titanic movie, well, except paying the same price as the upper deck people. At 130 pp, plus 18 bucks a drink, 380 total for two ppl, this place should get shut down so it does not ruin someone else's Christmas. I thought about going to the Park Aviara at first but choose this place instead because they told me I can bring my dog, my fault choosing to come here because I assume the pricier the better, my fault. Now I need to wait another year to choose another place for Christmas buffet to flush this bad memory out of my system. Other than that, the servers are great people and those working at the carving station, soup station actually tried to take good care of you.
