Shooter's Cafe Ranger Reviews
I had the breakfast quesadilla, and it was delicious. I am usually a very big eater, but I couldn't eat more than half. My wife had the 2 egg breakfast, and the scrambled eggs were fluffy. We will definitely eat here again!!!
Good ol country style breakfast, just the way mama used to make it! Served with a smile and great customer service! Best breakfast I’ve had in a while! 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!!☺️
We absolutely love shooters! Amazing food and great service! We just miss them being open longer hours but other than that we love it! Very family friendly place with outstanding food!
I've only had breakfast from here, they make the best breakfast burritos. My favorite I'd have say is the breakfast burrito with bacon, they also have one with sausage. They have a regular one for $5.00 and a large for $7.00, you really get your money worth, they also make the best biscuits and gravy. The one bad thing is they only stay open till 1:00 pm, there's only Dairy Queen and Shooters in Ranger, they really need to stay open till 9:00 pm.
Love them Breakfast burritos!!!
It might not be much of the atmosphere of eclectic things but let me tell you this, that girl could whoop up a breakfast burrito that will knock your lights out! Try one for breakfast I assure you lunch will come and go and you won't even think about it.
Great small town café atmosphere with very friendly and efficient staff. Food was great with generous portions and priced fairly. We will definitely be back.
Great breakfast! Chicken Fried Steak and eggs 🥚 biscuits and gravy.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. We had the cheeseburger plate with fries. They were juicy and hot. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside.
The hamburgers was really good and fresh veggies on it. I recommend this place! Loved it!

Great little breakfast, and I had the eggs and pancakes, my boy with the French toast. The coffee was okay, and the service was good. Found this place by Ranger College.
Great home town food really nice people.
Great food and great service. An easy walk from Ranger Airfield if you fly in. I had the hamburger steak and it was very good.

It's not too bad, food is good customer service is usually top notch. Menu is limited and the biggest drawback is they close at 2 pm.
Traveling thru and stopped in based on reviews. The floors were dirty at 7am. The waitress was very dry and we had to ask for coffee refills. The hash browns and pancakes were cold. My chicken fried steak was ok, and I ate my toast. My husband ordered the sampler that was very bland with overcooked bacon. There were only 2 other people in the place, so not sure what to think of that.
great workers food good but my only problem is that they need to do some heavy duty cleaning badly deep cleaning smells like old grease if they would just clean up the restaurant it be much better

They like playing with your food based on their emotions. i’ve heard multiple accounts and experienced bad food being served dining with different people.

We gave it a couple chances both times food wasn't great.
NOT a very clean place, if their dinning room looks the way it does I am afraid of the kitchen, the bathrooms were absolutely gross, and the toilet did not want to flush until I turned the water on. Also the wait staff were back and forth we were unsure of who our waitress was. They don’t care about how the waitresses present themselves, one girl was wearing slip on sandals, and another’s pants were half way down her bottom you could see her crack. I’m assuming the reason they have service is from the locals, if you’re traveling it is most definitely not worth stopping. I seriously wish I would’ve taken pictures of how gross it was in there.
AVOID!!! Absolutely, positively, the WORST breakfast I have ever had in almost 67 years! I had two eggs over medium, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and a pancake. The eggs were prepared to medium, but their flavor was AWEFUL- instead of a fresh fried egg flavor, these were tangy, almost like they were fried in vinegar and lemon. I couldn't eat them. The bacon was ordered crispy, but was limp, thick-cut, and seemed to be uncured. Bacon should be salty- this was bland. The hash browns were ordered crispy, but were burned on top and bottom, yet were soggy in the middle- inedible. The pancake came out large, cooked properly, but had NO flavor. I had asked for butter, but got nasty tasting margarine. I requested butter, REAL butter, but received margarine in a travel cup. Again, tasteless. I had requested hot syrup, which I received, but the syrup container was sticky and was of the cheapest quality, as it had a blah flavor, and was incapable of rendering the pancake flavorful. It is clear from the owner on down to the waitstaff that a quality dining experience is not even remotely a consideration. From this experience, I can't understand what keeps this place open, and strangely, full of people. My uncle requested decaf coffee, and was curtly told "we don't have that". I can't remember what some of my other relatives requested, but was informed they couldn't get what they wanted. Our bill was $81, but I can't say it was worth more than a cough. I can not urge those reading this enough that you should give SHOOTERS a wide birth and avoid it like SARS-CoV2 (CoViD) plague. If you are Westbound on I20, just 20 more minutes to Eastland will find a far better breakfast experience in Eastland. If you are Eastbound on I20, stop in Eastland, or drive on to Fort Worth, or stop at a gas station and get some microwaveable breakfast item. It will be infinitely better than SHOOTERS. I actually picked up the whole tab, because I didn't want my uncles paying for my poor meal. To those who give this place 4 stars, I seriously question if these people have ever had a decent meal, or have some medical issue that has dulled/altered their sense of taste and smell. REMBER: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
I really wanted to eat here for breakfast, says it is open but it’s almost 10am and the doors are closed and it states nowhere on their Facebook or online that they are closed. Very disappointed
