Yum yum! The wife and I snuck in here for an anniversary dinner. Apparently, it’s a thing to do here. If you want to escape your daily doldrums, sneak in here for tres tacos and a fresh horchata.
Connie's as closed so I went up the street to this place. I found my gem! This place knows how to make a real authentic taco. Meat was cooked perfectly. Onions, tomato and cilantro all fresh. And to top it off the kept the spur cream extra cold so it blended well with a warm taco! Definitely gotta try them out!
All I tried were the street tacos, but I was blown away with the quality and flavor, particularly the pollo, which was by far the juiciest and most well seasoned chicken breast I've ever had in a taco. I can't wait to come back and try more if the menu.
Great food and excellent service! It was nice to spend the afternoon here 😊
food is amazing and customer service was exceptional. love this place! I would recommend it to anyone looking for good, cheap, authentic Mexican food
We had a great time at Silvia's. We went on a Tuesday, when the gorditas are on special for $1 each. We ordered an assortment of 6 types of meat, with corn masa gorditas. We enjoyed them. They had a salsa for chips and two other salsas in squirt bottles which added just enough heat to make me sweat a little (perfect). We also ordered a regular order of guacamole, which was freshly made and was the star of the meal. It was obvious that the guac was made from a fresh cut avocado with some pico and cilantro added. Delicious! We had to order a second one, we should've ordered the large to begin with. They have a nice selection of drinks with my choice being an orange Jarrito. The bill was only $13 and change. Awesome value. Will definitely go back again and I highly recommend you order the fresh made guac.
Okay please don't laugh but since I was a little kid I thought tortas came from turtles and so that it was basically like a turtle meat thing. But they're not they have nothing to do with turtles at all! Don't get me wrong I wasn't like an idiot kid or anything I made great grades, and I participated in sports. A couple of cute girls even hugged me before so you know it wasn't like I didn't know anything. I just I don't know from the name of the word torta I just thought that maybe came from a turtle. And it's not like I thought turtles would taste gross or anything but since I've never eaten a turtle before I just kind of curious to know what it tasted like. But don't worry I'm not some kind of cereal turtle eater I'm not going to eat your pet or anything. But yeah the torta that I did end up eating was pretty good. I was looking up tortas on Google and that's how I found out that I wasn't even eating a turtle. And that was fine, it was good food anyways. I will eat again soon!
The food is very good. I am very impatient so to me it takes a little bit to get your food. I've eaten there twice this week. And they Doordash for delivery.
The service is very slow but the food is really good. Seems like a nice place to dine in or take out.
Got the gorditas and they were small picadillo was ok needed more flavor. The asada one was plain and was missing something. They were priced rite for what you get. They def wasn't bad but again you get what you pay for.
We were very disappointed on the food and prices were too high, we paid almost $15 for menudo and they hardly put any meat more soup then anything, plus we order breakfast burritos almost $13 more potatoes then egg and bacon plus they charge extra for the bacon, they didn’t even give salsa for the tortillas chips, we will not go there anymore
No air conditioning in here cracked window Wasn’t served chips and salsa they don’t even have white queso
Bland, everything was bland and had no flavor, would not recommend. Also restaurant was responsible for food was poorly packed, liquid meal on top of a dry meal, sauce everywhere. Salsa was hot but also flavorless. We Door dashed this tonight.
Definitely not for me the food wasn't horrible but I ordered a gordita rajas con queso and it wasn't hot there was chopped chilies and some shredded cheese stuffed into the tortilla and then the other one wasn't very good either it took awhile to get our food and they weren't busy in the restaurant but I think they were filling online orders first but any way others may like it more then I did and have a better experience so good luck! I for one won't be back.
Ordered Door Dash and SPECIFICALLY put if they were out of Caldo to cancel the order. They did not cancel and as of right now I have NOT received a refund for it either. They also forgot an entire Gordita and a side of rice, which they are supposedly refunding. AND the taco we SPECIFICALLY asked for no cilantro on had TONS of Cilantro. 3 of us ordered and only 1 meal was correct. Hard pass on this place ever again!
My wife and I order 2 Tortas and 2 Tostadas and 1 Gordita. The tostadas were great. My main entree being the tortas. Literally only a couple bites in, I had to throw it away. The bun was un-toasted didn’t touch the grill not one bit. Told my wife to try the Gordita. She couldn’t handle it, stated that it was bland. I’ve never passed up a meal I had paid for. It was a waste of time in my evening going there. I highly recommend going elsewhere. Never trust a restaurant that says authentic.
