Really quaint spot for all sorts of drinks, coffee beans and grounds, gifts and so much more. Not a huge place so keep that in mind. I had the dirty chai (hot) and savory pastry that was super tasty.

Feels like the olde apothocaries in Holland, with the small brown paper sacks or cones of teas and herbs chosen from a wall of alphabetized cupboard drawers, Or Wafts like the old shoppes under the Edinburgh bridges, with the burlap sacks and spices and utensils for kitchens, all with live fire roastings, coffee beans, chestnuts, vanilla, And Transports me to the penny candy shops calling at me into their doors as I'm walking to school in S. W. Philly, with just so many chocolatey choices and brightly colored bonbons in full glass jars on shelves, clutching the full small sandwich bag bulging for just a quarter and planning out recess and recess sales and trades ... #JBPeelCoffees - an archetypal family shoppe with friendly, busy staff handling roasting fires. Online shopping & new curbside pickup and walk up window is icing on the gluten-free cale! Did I say #biscottis ? #MyMonthlyItem ?#darkchocolatecoveredespressobeans ! Grateful to be able to swing through #historicRedHook and #visitJBPeelsCoffees : I'd sport that #bumper sticker !

Best coffee in Red Hook or Rhinebeck. Which is no surprise as they are primarily a coffee roaster. Had a cortado and got a bag of beans.

Excellent coffee! And the new location is so conveniently located in Red Hook. Perfect local gifts for anyone on your list. Enjoyed my cappuccino and Juno loved the foamed milk.🐾

So many selections of coffee. I can't wait to try more! I told them what kind of coffee machine I had and they looked up what kind of grind they should do. Great service!

Phenomenal experiance! After being disappointed for overpriced tea at yum yum noodle bar I was motivated to find a better tea experiance. The establishment was closed but the owner let us in! She gave us fresh chai tea made with real tea and not powder! You also can beat the price! Only 3 dollars for homemade quality iced tea!

O H M Y G O D! This was literally the best experience I’ve had from any business in my whole life. Drove all the way from Orange County for about an hour after my brother’s professor recommended the place to us and didn’t realize that it was curbside or delivery only. Bummed me out just a touch because it was my own ignorance that made me drive that far haha so I placed the order online anyway and it said “usually ready within 1 hour” so I placed the order and just asked the person at the window “hey is it actually gonna take an hour?” And explained my situation to him. He was so happy and he just took one glance at my phone and got me everything I ordered within 1 minute and asked “since you came from so far away do you want a cold brew for the road?” Never in my life have I been treated so well by a local establishment, even though it was only a few small gestures it still went a really long way for me and I will definitely be a returning customer. (Btw the coffee is delicious!)

This shop roasts their own coffee beans, in dozens of incredible blends. If you're a coffee nut, you'll want to make this place a second home...the aroma from two blocks away becons like a siren song.

This place was amazing! As a coffee nerd, I have a very particular taste in coffee. This place met that and went above and beyond. The store was littered with coffee makers, grinders, and the largest quantity of fresh roasted beans I’ve ever seen; not to mention their wide array of teas. I could have spent 4 hours in there with the great latte they made me, but I did have to leave.

I am so happy I have access to such amazing coffee locally!! If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to stop here and get some locally roasted coffee. The difference between local and anything you buy in grocery stores/online is amazing, especially if you are not accustomed to local coffee. From opening the bag of espresso I got, to smelling it, to grinding it to drawing espresso shots with it, the entire process is so much better with great quality coffee.

We luckily stumbled across this place for coffee on a weekend trip up north. What a find. Amazing coffee. I order and have this coffee shipped on a regular basis down in NJ.

A favorite for years! Suprised by their big new location & store where you can see the roasters! Excellent for a school field trip for children and grandparents! I love the Swiss water method decaf coffee beans! If people only knew what caustic chemicals some industrial coffee processors use to decaffeinate the beans, they'd probably stop poisoning themselves. Anywho .. Love Love Love J B Peel Coffee & Tea! I can order ahead, order online to have shipped to me, and i usually stop in when up in RedHook! Supporting family-owned small businesses in the Mid-Hudson River Valley! @ILoveNY

My family and I are coffee enthusiasts , quite particular about our roast. This lovely shop did not disappoint. Very robust but smooth coffee. My family had iced americano, iced lattes, mocha latte and iced matcha, everyone enjoyed their coffees. Lots of interesting brews, local art, baked treats reasonably priced and friendly service.

I bought seeded flatbread inside that was from a catskill bakery and a bag of whole beans (raspberry coffee). The flatbread snack was great! And I brewed the beans the next day. Wow! It was fantastic!! I am addicted! Since trying their beans- i now have a subscription. The prices are great, beans are fresh, the owners are very nice, and the coffee flavor is Amazing! They are good for gifts too. Since becoming a loyal customer in 2021 I have tried many flavors and grinds. The flavors that my house has to have- coconut, chocolate hazelnut, raspberry, pecan and caramel, clermont, amaretto

Wow such a good flat white and dirty chai!!!! I’ve always loved to buy their beans but I haven’t been to this amazing cafe before. I’m Australian and a coffee snob. This is top notch!

So recently had to go decaf and my search has been extremely disappointing with the limited choices and flat taste that so many shops offer. That is UNTIL I came here! Not only do they have a varied selection of decafs their decaf line indeed does have flavor! Better yet, their dark roasts holds up with or without milk and thrilled to know they only source beans using a natural decaffeination process. Thanks for making my decaf now heavenly.

Their coffee is the BEST. I love so many of the different roasts- Rhinebeck my favorite - you are sure to find what works best for you or a coffee-loving friend. The tea is beautiful too, and lots of fun gifts, stickers, pins. This place is an oasis and I love going in with my dog who receives so much love every time.

Wanted to enjoy our stop here, but I felt slighted that we weren't afforded the courtesy after buying coffee - of using their restroom. The person I was with clearly had a difficult time with mobility. It was a sour move - one that sticks in your throat. I hope the neighborhood enjoys the ambiance more than we did

Such rave reviews! -- something seems suspicious -- I get comments from friends and relatives that this shop is quite unfriendly and not particularly helpful to customers. I am a local and would love to buy my beans there, and have, but each time I go in the shop I am met with someone who seems annoyed that I am present. If the coffee was superb I would overlook that, but in my opinion is it decent, but not great. Still, since I am so close, I will try them once again and if I am found wrong I too will write a rave review.
