Delicious Sushi at this place, not regret to stop and eat at Yama Sushi.

Delicious food and awesome customer service. They were super helpful and giving tips on how to cook the different kinds of meat. Recommend their sesame bolls, soo good! Freshly baked and tasty. If it's your first time going to Korean BBQ, they'll guide you through it.

The chicken teriyaki and salmon teriyaki are delicious, the dragon Roll was amazing !

Came here for a roll, unagi, miso soup, and tea; it was absolutely delicious. They were quick to serve and were incredibly friendly. Yes, it is a little pricey and you're paying for an amazing quality experience. Absolutely worth a stop if you're craving a delicious meal.

Can be pricey if you aren't careful cuz it's so delicious it's hard to stop! Great options. Vast menu or no menu at all, just grab and eat!

Edit 06/12/25: They are now doing all you can eat fresh sushi for $21.95. Lots of choices on adorable little floating boats. Good sushi here. My husband was happy with his seafood soup. I miss when they used to have small portions of sushi on the little sushi boats. It's pricey but sushi usually is. I was a bit disappointed in the small glass (small pour in a regular size glass) of Chardonnay but I suppose that isnt the end of the world. Overall this is a good place to eat and it's where I go when I am craving sushi. They have an all you can eat Korean BBQ next door that is connected. It is good also. UPDATE. They recently started the sushi boats again M-F. The sushi boats are little portions and u pay according to the color of the plate. The little boats go around the sushi bar. It's super cute.

It's a bonus since I don't have to go to 2 different restaurants. The honey prawns are too die for. It is really good service and I'm coming back as soon as possible.

The server was very kind and helpful with explaining when something had a unique possibly unexpected ingredient. Delicious food and nice experience with the sushi boats makes for nice personal and group trips. This is the Crouching Tiger Roll.

My 6 yr old and I had all-you-can-eat sushi and had a great time. Everything was fresh and you can't beat the price.

Thanks has delicious sushi and the waiter was really nice and attentive. We ordered from the menu, which has plenty of choices on it, but they also had a sushi all you can eat special as well. You sit at the "bar" seating and the sushi makes it's way around to you on boats. Hard to find that kind of gimmick anymore. A good experience overall!

Best place in all of Northern California for fresh sushi. Food is delicious and the service is excellent. My family really enjoys eating there. Whether you like fresh delicious sushi or delicious Korean Barbecue. Yama Sushi & Korean Barbecue is the place to go in Redding California. Highly Recommend.

We went here for the first time yesterday. The experience was top notch! The all you can eat Sushi was something i didn't know existed in Redding. Can't wait to go back!

For my inaugural visit to an all-you-can-eat boat sushi restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of sushi, which was notably above the standard fare typically found at such establishments. Historically, I've been skeptical about the quality of sushi at all-you-can-eat venues, yet this experience challenged my preconceptions, offering well-crafted selections that were both fresh and flavorful. The portions provided exceptional value for the price, making it an economical yet satisfying choice for sushi lovers. Moreover, the professionalism of the service and the inviting atmosphere added significantly to the dining experience, creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment. This establishment proves that quality and quantity can coexist, setting a commendable standard for all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants.

The restaurant was empty and quiet. Our server was great! She was very well informed on the menu items and was very friendly.

For Redding, this is a great option for dine in. Currently under mask restrictions and tables are limited but it is a nice restaurant to try out. Not your typical kimchi spread and the appetizers menu lacks any tempura veggie sides altogether which is heavily disappointing. No kimchi pancake or suitable substitute so we stick to Gyoza, Galbi Short Ribs and Beef Bulgogi. It's worth trying and because it's the only one local we tend to frequent it fairly often. I would say try branching out and trying other items but I'm very picky on my Korean and am more accustomed to Portland and San Jose bay area Korean bbq establishments such as Gen X.

Korean BBQ is a great experience. The bulgogi and the spicy pork belly are delicious. Try the Tempura Bananas.

Sometimes you had to wait a while to get something different. I think it was worth going as my wife and I are definitely full. It was a very interesting concept with everyone around the Itamae, sushi chef, with all the boats floating by with different plates of sushi.

It the best Korean BBQ but still one I wanted to cross off my bucket list. It was solid as far as how much they would give you but they did have a limit on how much they would bring you. Due to the fact you do have people who waste food and don’t finish everything. The goal with Korean bbq is to go on an empty stomach and devour everything when u arrive. Especially with these all u can eat Korean bbq. Service was good and the food options were okay. Great time

Easy to get carried away so my date set limits on what we could get LOL.. good job baby! Will go back again soon!

Ehh not worth the price. Probably worse the the sushi they make at the store. If you’re looking for sushi and you’re seeing this, go to Kobe. It’s just way better.

The sushi for all you can eat is ok. The quality feels low of course since they are trying to make money, lots of imitation crab, very little real fish. Many of the items advertised on the menu are not available at all you can eat or substitute for different things. Overall it was fun to do once. There was quite a bit of food wasted over preparing for the customers they had when they tell you you can't have any waste or you will be charged which is fairly standard at sushi all you can eats

Food is pretty pricey but good. SLOW service and a language barrier with the server. Food presentation was really good as well.

Below average korean bbq. Banchan is O.K, mostly extremely sour and sweet with no balance. Meat quality was O.K beefs were tender and marbled all were choice quality cuts. Marinades for the meat were great. Bulgolgi was delicious and the spicy bulgolgi even better. Pork belly was terrible lean and 0 flavor. What made this experience terrible was the service. If you have had korean bbq before especially in a place like Los Angeles or San Fran or Seattle where there are alot of different options there are things the restaurant does to slow down service. They have a rule where you can order 3 protein and 2 appetizers. So you would order 3 and only 2 would arrive and server would disappear. You also can't order more until the whole order is removed according to the older asian server. So you can finish your two proteins have the grill burning as you wait 5-10 mins for a server to show up then another 5-10 minutes for your next missing order of protein. Now that all the sugar has burned onto the grill from the Marinades. Instead of changing the grill top your server just lowers the grill to low. Now everything takes double the time to cook and now everything has a burnt taste to it. As you get to your next round the quality of meat and quantity goes down. Staff take longer to bring out orders. After an hour and 20 minutes we ended up only eating 2 rounds. At $90 dollars for two we were better off eating elsewhere.

Driving through Redding,we had low expectations,but we're excited to see the 4 star rating! We walked in, and there was a pretty long wait, and most tables were full. We opted to sit at the bar and immediately regretted it. The boats were covered in mold from being in the water and probably never taken out. The food took a remarkably long time to get to us, even though the employees kept yelling to reach other asking if we had been served. An hour later we were still waiting on my soup! The sashimi was frozen, though they said they never freeze their fish. And they didn't take it off the bill! We paid $80 for food we couldn't eat. The rice was good though, after we reminded them out came with the meal. The bathrooms were disgusting. Go any where but here.

I hate to write this because I had an amazing experience at the restaurant recently. We door dashed the sushi tonight and it was warm. Everyone spit their food about because the taste and quality, which makes me so sad because I’ve never had this experience before. I guess don’t DoorDash sushi.

genuinely looked like a great place to eat, i liked the live music, but unfortunately the customer service was horrible. server barely talked to us and if she did she would be really quiet. server got very upset when i said i couldn’t hear her, and sort of just dropped or slammed everything in front of us. food took forever to come out. the edamame was either cold or half cooked half not. me and the person i went with ended up with food poisoning.

They told me they wouldn't serve me and I needed two people to eat at there Korean BBQ. I offered to pay for two people for one and they would not let me. I think they judges me for having a backpack and a skateboard even though I had the money to pay for two people for myself. I never even got to experience it and they weren't even speaking Korean.

Nothing was replenished and the food was honestly disgusting. Never again. 200$ wasted.

She may have an inferiority complex and tries to judge people to compensate. I could sort of see through that and actually thought it a bit funny. afterwards.. Wonder if they are from N Korea or somewhere traditionally hostile to America . I spoke to the manager who listened and apologized but I will not recommend this place. When it comes to food you have to feel reasonably safe with restaurant staff.
