Proudly Serving Redondo Beach Reviews
Believe the hype and come try proudly serving asap. Been a loyal customer since trying their burger at their hermosa beach location, but the Redondo location quality is just as good. We always get the ps burger, the loaded ps fries and the plain tots as well as the brunch burger on the weekend. If you like smash burgers this will be in your top 5 in LA easily. Their fries and tots are cooked in duck fat and you can taste the difference. I would keep coming back for the tots alone. Their soft serve ice cream is also fantastic. Can’t recommend this casual burger spot enough!
This is such a cute spot in riviera village. Walking distance to the beach. The inside is clean and the outdoor patio is shaded. Perfect for people watching. The burgers were really good, but my favorite was the tuna melt. Unfortunately, it’s only there for one month (January 2026), but I do hope they bring it back. On top of that, the service was sharp and fast. Great service!!
This place has some of the best burgers, fries, and tots in the South Bay! 🍔🍟 Shoutout to Valentina for going above and beyond with customer service for our large group. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Definitely coming back!
We were here two weeks ago from Canada and looking for a local burger joint. We came across Proudly Serving and could not have been happier. The burgers were perfect! Juicy and portioned just right. The tots and fries were cooked to perfection and the use of duck fat made them that much better. I loved the pinball machines inside and all the stickers around the fountain pop made it seem like we stepped back in time. Super impressed and will def stop in next time we come to Cali.
We love Proudly Serving. It’s quickly becoming one of our go to smash burgers in the city. It’s like in-n-out in the sense that you know what you’re gonna get and you’re never let down. Quality is there, Taste is there, Service is there. You can’t go wrong with PS! Our order is a PS Burger, The Founder and now the Juicy James (only at the new location) and you HAVE to get their Chili Cheese fries. (They are spicy FYI) but they are 🔥 The fires are fried in duck and are delicious! Just go try it for yourself and thank me later. Lol.
Fantastic burgers and fries! Chili fries have a kick.
I was so excited when I learned that Proudly Serving would be opening a Redondo Beach Location. From their natural wines to the duck fat fried french fries, and zesty ranch, this is my favorite place to grab a burger.

Delicious. Best smash burgers ever. Just knocked off a star bc the frostie machine wasn’t working. * sobs *
Proudly Serving is one of the best spots in the South Bay for a good smash burger. I ordered online, picked up my order, and ate in my car. The PS burger had a lot of flavor and the fries were equally good (they add some seasoning to kick up the flavor). Will definitely return here if I'm ever in the area.
Walked in on a Friday night and we're able to order and find a seat quickly. Food was great! The tots were so crispy and the zesty ranch so was amazing
I just received the kindest gesture from a member of staff who appeared to be the manager, or maybe owner. I ordered a burger for myself and two kids burgers for my children , I was paying in cash and just had the right amount until my child switched it up asking for the most expensive burger on the menu, the employee - noticing my panic lol casually tells me ‘ the juicy James is on us’, upgrading his burger for him. The food was obviously delicious but this act of kindness felt above and beyond. We’ll continue to return and so glad they’re in the neighborhood!
Amazing addition to the riv. Come for the burger, stay for the fries! I’ve seen some comments about the price, and I disagree that it’s too expensive, I think it’s actually a deal! The fries are 5 bucks and easily enough for two people. The burger is 11 dollars, is two smashed patties, and very filling. Drinks are like 3 bucks with free refills. So between two people, you could easily live deliciously for $16.50 each. For comparison, a Big Mac combo at McDonald’s is 15 bucks. So for a dollar fifty more you can support a local business and eat infinitely better food.
Probably the best burger in South Redondo! $11 for the PS smash burger and $5 for delicious fries! YES!!! Finally a great little spot that’s fresh, delicious and budget friendly! Shout out to Ori who works there! She’s so sweet and friendly! Weekly date night easy dinner spot. 10/10! 😎
The burgers are great and the fries are amazing. They gave my order to someone else by accident and were really cool about re- making it and giving me a chocolate shake for the trouble. I really appreciated it.
TRULY SPECIAL FOOD, BUT ECONOMICALLY OUT OF TOUCH: ~ a message to the owner and interested customers Let me preface this by saying that "Proudly Serving" offers THE BEST BURGERS I have ever tasted in my life. If you are a burger connoisseur, you've probably heard of the "smash burger" fad that took the LA burger scene by storm within the last decade or so. While some deliver and some leave you less than fulfilled after walking out the door, Proudly Serving does the Smash Burger genre proud! THE GLARING PROBLEM IS THE PRICE. The hallmark burger you're probably used to is the "Big James Burger"; a double smash patty with lettuce, tomato, 3 slices of bacon, cheddar cheese, and a decadent sauce. Your FIRST shock will be how thin the patties are with them being barely visible on the grill across the kitchen. Your SECOND shock will be hearing that the going price is 14 dollars for the "basic" burger we all picture. Add some fries and you're now looking at 19 dollars, a soft drink, and you're at 22. Any sauce and you're at 23 dollars PER PERSON. The restaurant is quaint, the staff are friendly and energetic, plus the owner is hard at work in the kitchen and gives off a very "Bob's Burgers" vibe that you can't help but smile at. The seasoning is beyond this world, every bite leaves you craving more, with each chomp being equally as good as the last the whole way through... HERE'S THE CATCH: for a party of 3 ordering the basics, we were handed a nearly 70 DOLLAR BILL. Is this the best burger I've ever had? Yes. Would I go back? No. This establishment's recipes are nothing short of a treasure, BUT unfortunately it's cost will be its closure. Given the financials of the local population, it is nearly impossible for the neighborhood that this restaurant relies upon to support it, NO MATTER HOW GOOD it is. Talking to a couple next to our party, they too shared the same concerns. Simply put, while the food was outstanding, the price made it a "one and done". You could tell from the faces as one by one they looked over the menu that few could afford to make this a regular occurrence, if at all. I truly hope Proudly Serving finds a way to stay in business. I have seen many "upscale" restaurant predecessors face closure time and time again in that exact location. This time, I hope Proudly Serving changes the trend, because the quality of the food DESERVES IT! However, to make this possible, the prices will have to give.
Wow! Incredible! Best burgers we have ever had! All three of my kids crushed their burgers! Mine was delicious! Also, milk shakes were outstanding! We’ll be back!
I’ve lived in 5 states and traveled the US. Yes this was the best burger I’ve eaten. It was so simple and fresh. Top of my list. Don’t get me wrong, $11 for just the burger is freaking bonkers. But, delicious. Sauces are moot. Fries are fine.

One of the better smash burgers I’ve had in a brand new spot with friendly staff in redondo. Simple menu, crispy fries and bomb shake but the smash burger steal the show here

The burger and milkshake were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and really hit the spot. The fries were okay, but the chili cheese felt like it was missing a little something in terms of flavor. However, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the employees were super friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
Chili smash was excellent. This location is very nice, clean and has pinball just like the Hermosa one. I am torn between the two locations but the clean restrooms and new facility here are very nice. Not a fan of this style French fry but the amazing burger makes up for it.

Great smash burgers chilli fries are on point
This place has been on my list for quite some time, but I finally had the craving. I ordered their top two popular items, the PS Burger and Fries. If you can't enjoy a fry straight out of the bag on your drive home, it's not worth eating. That being said, these were flavorful and crunchy, not requiring sauce. There was a duck-like after taste I wasn't a fan of. The burger was extremely light and looked very flat, which was not appealing at first sight. It looked nothing like the photos I had seen. I was starving so it didn't matter, but I did manage to get a photo at the end. Overall, it satisfied my craving for a smashburger. Staff were friendly handing me my pickup order. I'm likely to go back.
The food tasted good and I appreciated the simple menu, however I agree with other reviews - the burgers are too overpriced for what you get. I got the PS burger, but it was much smaller than I expected given that it was $11 for their basic burger.
Expensive burger joint. Fries are large enough for two people - dont over buy. Burgers are ok. Having Beer on tap and pinball machines got an extra star for the overall rating.
The food is not worth the money. Paid 14 for a pastrami burger and it had maybe one slice of pastrami. The soda machines done work, the co2 was out and we had to get a refund. The cashier carried on a conversation over letting me and my wife order. When I asked to swap cheese they acted like they were doing me a gigantic favor and that they don't usually do it.. (they barely had anyone in the restaurant). The onions were paper thin, and hardly enough as well. They had rap music absolutely blaring and was both offensive as well as made no sense to the atmosphere. The tables were dirty despite there being too many staffed and almost no customers. The cook staff were on their phones and touching things while they should be cooking..no gloves... and they were super pervy eyeing females that would come in. I will most definitely not be returning.
