Riviera House Redondo Beach Reviews
Riviera House in Redondo Beach is a fantastic spot, created by four brothers who aimed to provide a breezy, beachy chic environment for the community to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and warm hospitality. The restaurant’s indoor/outdoor layout offers an airy, relaxed atmosphere, ideal for unwinding with ocean views. Under the care of General Manager Mark Estrada and Chef Francisco Mejia, the dining experience here is exceptional. We had lunch with our daughter and baby granddaughter, and it was the perfect setting for her first beach outing. The seafood was outstanding—the scallops and fish tacos were fresh, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The steamed clams were another highlight, especially the rich broth, which we eagerly soaked up with the grilled sourdough. My daughter’s shrimp pasta was just as impressive, offering bold flavors and perfect textures. The restaurant’s ocean-facing view and open patio dining made for an inviting and relaxed vibe, perfect for a family meal by the beach. If you're looking for excellent food, top-notch service, and a comfortable place to enjoy the seaside, Riviera House is a must-visit.
The restaurant itself is very pretty and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cocktails are unique and well balanced, with tons of tiki inspired styles for brunch. The apps were large and can easily be shared with a group. The entrees were delicious and perfect portions, and overall the price was on par with the area. They did slightly overcook the steak so I might recommend one rarity lower than you usually get. But overall highly recommend coming here for brunch, as the nachos were great too!
Very nice casual yet upscale restaurant. Prices are reasonable for LA and this is in a hot spot location with many fun bars and places to eat. Oysters were good but small/$23 for 6. Our entrees were fantastic. Loved the pasta with shrimp! Great service! VictorB
We eat here quite often and the service and food are always great. Our favorites are the Salmon BLT, the Cali Chicken, and the green bean app... however we have had just about everything they offer and you really can't go wrong. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and the food doesn't let it down. The service staff here is excellent.. we also do takeout orders here and they are perfect. This place is big man certified.
Always yummy! Highly recommend the Cobb Salad + double Smash burger. We usually get Brussels sprouts and calamari from the appetizers. The sea bass is super yummy ... These pics are the poke nachos and spinach dip, both of which were our first time ordering. Yummy!! GM Mark has this place running like clockwork when he's there with fast service. There's also a waitress with a wavy ponytail + tattoos who is AMAZING, fast and attentive ... Love when we get her!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Rivera House, and it was truly an outstanding experience. I ordered the California Benedict, and it was nothing short of amazing. The blend of flavors and freshness of the ingredients made it a delightful choice. My dining partner went for the standard breakfast, which was solid and satisfying. Even the little ones had a fantastic time with their waffles topped with berries – a sweet and wholesome treat. The emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients was evident in every bite. The service at Rivera House was impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and we enjoyed some great people-watching as well. This is a place I’ll undoubtedly return to.
Stopped in for brunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Our server was great and the food was better than anticipated. Had the chicken and waffles while my wife had an amazing breakfast burrito. Both were outstanding and very generous portions. Recommended.
Riviera House is where cocktail dreams come true, and their Manhattan? The best in the South Bay. Silky, strong, and perfectly balanced—whether you prefer it classic or with a twist, it’s pure liquid seduction in a glass. But don’t stop there—their entire cocktail program is on another level, crafted with precision and an undeniable flair. If you love whiskey, Whiskey Wednesday is the move—all-day deals on top-shelf pours that will have you sipping and savoring like royalty. Whether you’re cozied up at the bar, enjoying the upscale yet effortlessly sexy ambiance, or unwinding on the patio with the ocean breeze, Riviera House delivers every time. This is the spot for South Bay cocktail lovers who appreciate quality, craftsmanship, and a little bit of indulgence. Highly recommend!
Here's a mI've had dinner at this restaurant many times, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed evening out. During my last visit, I had a beet salad, and it was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a great balance of flavors. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or something a bit more special, this place is always a great choice.
Fantastic food, great menu selection. Seafood menu that is well priced and really well thought out. The selection is simple and makes for a quality meal. The interior space is nicely renovated, which fits the menu well. Undersea theme, with fish-scale wall, underwater mural, rose-gold throughout and a patio that is the best in the Riviera. Nice selection of drinks, from good beers to great spirits for their selection of mixed drinks. Wine selection that complements the restaurant. Stop by for the crab cakes, which are meaty and not your minced crab so you don't know what your getting. The Ahi poke melts in your mouth. Can't wait to go back. Update 5/4/23: food has gotten better. Change in menu, great selection of seafood and non-seafood. Oysters were amazing.
What a fantastic find, I made a wrong turn and found a great little place. The service was great, Sam our server was fantastic and made some great suggestions. The food was amazing. We shared shrimp taco, they where amazing shrimp was so fresh and was good perfect...The cream sauce and pico mix was perfect... The bar is stocked with a great selection and I had a port brewing Mongo IPA... always great... Then to top it off a Creme Brulee that was fantastic, fluffy and flavorful...
It’s been so nice enjoying the newly opened restaurants here in LA County. I drove by Riviera House a couple times, and decided I had to give it a try. Heads up, parking is a little bit of a pain, but there is meter’d parking nearby! I ordered a Mai Tai to start. The drink was strong, and absolutely delicious. 🍹 I really miss restaurant-style salmon, so I ordered from their Family Menu (you can get individual sized portions) and I am so thankful I did. I had the salmon cooked extra well-done, and it had a beautiful crunch! 🐟 There’s indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted to sit inside so it would feel more like a legitimate restaurant experience. The manager was present and popping in and out, making sure their opening day was a success! Absolutely a must try! Interested in more of my reviews? Follow me on Instagram at dining_with_davi
came here on a whim because i feeling their patio vibes. great atmosphere and truly amazing customer service. have to mention the incredible drink too! only reason i docked a star for food was that the guac wasn’t as good as everything else. but i inhaled the chips it came with. i heard another table say they’re made in house. perfect chip. got a shrimp and fish tacos shrimp was great but that was one of the best fish tacos ive ever had AND they have a taco tuesday special? 🥳 have to say for the record that their Caipirinha was better than the one i had on vacation in south america. would absolutely recommend and seek riviera house out when i’m back in the area! THANK you for letting me camp and make calls on your patio for two hours today!!
Cocktails, appetizers, and entrees are all on point. I was blown away by the ambiance, the service, and the incredible vision of the manager, Jeremy in particular. My favorite cocktail: the zombie. 🍹 Tiles, miles and crocodiles.

Food is excellent, I've been a few times & it's always been super good, drinks too! Artisan cocktails & good spirits list as well.
Always great service—welcoming atmosphere and plenty of seating options. As locals, we come here all the time for weekend brunch and on random occasions. They usually have my favorite oysters, and the Irish coffee is amazing. It’s one of the few places in Riviera where the service is consistently great—fast, friendly, and reliable.
Came for a dinner on a Tues night. Greeted by amicable staff, no wait time, paid street parking available. Relatively small selection of food but plenty of drinks, if that is your jam. Quick service, good food but pricing was a little on the high side relative to other establishments nearby (herbed salmon was $32 vs average of $25 nearby). Three servers were rotating our table at times and seemed confused on who was actually serving us, which ultimately made us confused albeit we appreciated the attention. Ambiance was great, "cozy" but felt open with the side doors open.
Staff were super friendly and this is a open and airy environment. I loved the vibe. The food was really good and the only weak point was the house cocktails. They were okay, but for the price...they could have been better (and I'm talking about the flavors...not the strength...the amount of alcohol was fine). This was mid-day on a Thursday (so not very busy)...and it took a while to get our drinks. Again...two minor knocks....but still a solid 4 stars and we'll go back.
You are seeking a comfortable place near Torrance Beach to enjoy the sunshine and a drink on any afternoon, then look no further than here. From cushioned benches to its contemporary furnishings, the atmosphere is perfect for romantic rendezvous and meeting business clients. Nothing surprising in their food choices. However, everything was delicious. Service was very good.

my first time there and it was really nice... I'm just not in a place where I could do $16 glasses of wine and $20 tacos. But it was nice to hang out for a little bit. I will try to a happy hour because I hear that their tacos are quite good... sorry but...

Great Service! Great Drinks! The world's smallest oysters! Seriously, I pull boggers out of my nose that are bigger. Their oysters are fresh, but the size of a nickel. I told the bar tender and he was such a company man that he actually had the balls to say to me that most people complain their too big ! (Total BS). I definitely would go here for drinks as the bar. Just amazing but as far as the food probably not. Sorry guys, got to tell it like I see it
