Restaurante Mars Ribagorza Reviews
— Eating here is a pleasure. The attention from the elderly lady who looked after us throughout the meal deserves special mention: warm, kind, and offering excellent recommendations. The Barbastro tomato is one of those that are hard to find these days: authentic flavor, perfect texture, and treated with respect, without unnecessary embellishments. The Aragonese lamb, tender and juicy, cooked to perfection, reminds you why it's one of the great prides of this region. And to top it all off, the honey and almond tuile: crispy, balanced, and not at all cloying—the kind that stays with you, not just on your palate. Good ingredients, honest cooking, and a personal touch that makes all the difference. 👏🏽
One of the few remaining traditional restaurants, serving quality home-style dishes. We ordered Barbastro tomatoes with bonito tuna, a very generous and delicious dish; the Benabarre stew, one of the best I've ever had, if not the best; and for dessert, some scrumptious almond tuiles. Definitely worth repeating when we're in the area!
A great restaurant to enjoy dishes with top-notch ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We had a foie gras puff pastry that was super crispy and generously filled, very good. Orio-style hake, baked with a touch of grilling that gave it a crispy, perfectly cooked texture, with a simple but delicious sauce. Roasted lamb was delicious, and to top it off, a chocolate crepe with salt flakes and olive oil—rich and delicious—and a delicious white chocolate coulant. Reasonable prices, adequate portion sizes. In short, it's a pleasure to go to places in small towns that take a chance on their businesses and offer top-notch cuisine.
A restaurant serving traditional home-style cuisine, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all carefully prepared with quality ingredients and adequate quantities per diner. You'll love everything you try. The air-conditioned dining room is somewhat small, a bit dark, but cozy, located in the basement. Very attentive, fast, and friendly service. The well-equipped outdoor terrace is located at street level. Free on-street parking is somewhat limited.

Really delicious food and nice service!
Outstanding, fabulous, friendly. We called in for a meal at lunch time. Promptly attended to and seated even though they were busy. Menu had a lot of choice, prices very fair. Food was simple but good quality and well cooked, nothing fancy, my lamb was perfect pink but not bloody. Great air-con as it was 30+ outside. Our small dogs were made welcome inside, which is a first for us in Spain. Made a perfect meal stop on a 7 hour drive. Even found parking nearby in the shade.
A homestyle diner that works until late. The lettuce salad with local goat cheese and hazel nuts was great! A very nice selection of meats. The stuff is very friendly and super fast. Also nice to meet a place that speaks English in rural Spain. Thank you very much!
We stopped here spontaneously on the way back from Benasque with a group of 8. We were treated very well and the food is very good. I had beef which was tender and tasty. They serve good locally brewed ales and the home made desserts did not disappoint either. The king of Spain must have eaten here, there is a photo on the wall of him and the staff.
Although we weren't expecting a great experience at first, since our table was right next to the restroom entrance and the tablecloth was a bit dirty, the food was more than enough to leave us satisfied. The salad and scrambled eggs were very good, and the lamb and cod were equally, if not better, excellent. The cheesecake was spectacular. They really know how to cook, using good, high-quality ingredients. The price was reasonable, and the service was quick and attentive. This restaurant in the center of Benabarre was a real surprise.
Good restaurant perhaps do not forget to ask for the daily menu.
Pets admitted, good choice of home made menu 14 € pp
We searched still opened restaurant during the late evening, just to make our stomach fully after long driving. If you’re not Spanish, just tourist, so be ready for low-quality meat with a lot fat and stale bread for you. Unfortunately, we don’t speak Spanish and couldn’t explain about not fresh bread and so average dish with meat. And in the bill we got x2 bread…Scam place for tourists, if you don’t speak Spanish - you ll be owned by sneaky restaurant.
We stopped for lunch on our trip, a group of eight. We weren't very hungry, and two of us wanted to share a meal. A rather unpleasant woman snatched my friend's plate and cutlery and told us that if she didn't order, she wouldn't eat. We left, having already paid for the drinks we'd ordered. It's a shame that people are treated like that.
