Show Mini Hot Pot Richardson Reviews
I had the mala dry pot and really enjoyed it. As a vegetarian, I appreciated how many veggie and tofu options there were. Everything tasted fresh, and the sauces and seasoning were on point without overpowering the dish. The spice level was just right, flavorful with a good kick. Ki, who took our order, was super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.
So happy to have discovered this place from social media. This has to become my first favorite place to get hot pot and it’s a good amount of serving. It is a great way to experience getting your own question without having to waste and they cooked it all for you. Love coming here.
I had a fantastic experience at Show Mini Hot Pot! From the broad selection of fresh ingredients to the excellent value, everything hit the mark. What stood out: The ordering setup gives you full freedom to build your own bowl — you pick the broth, proteins, vegetables, noodles, and toppings. The ingredient variety is impressive: fresh seafood, dozens of veggies and mushrooms, meats, noodles, sauces — you really can make it just how you like it. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Great portion size + quality ingredients = solid value. The broth(s) were flavorful. The “golden bone” and “spicy mala” options were especially good — rich and well-balanced, not overly heavy. The vibe is relaxed but fun. You feel like you’re getting something special rather than just another quick meal. Tip for your visit: Go with a broth you haven’t tried before (the golden bone was a winner for me). If you’re sharing, pick a moderate spice level so everyone can enjoy. Load up on veggies and mushrooms to balance the richer items. Don’t skip the sauce/condiment bar — customizing your dip made a big difference in flavor for me. Overall: If you’re in the mood for something interactive, fresh, and delicious — and you like good value — this is a spot I’d highly recommend. I’ll definitely be going back.
I had such a great experience at Show Mini Hot Pot! I loved being able to fully customize my own hot pot with the ingredients I wanted. It was honestly hard to decide because there are so many options everything looked so fresh and delicious. Highly recommended if you want to prepare your own hot pot and choose your preferred spice level and ingredients. 🌶️🍲
I go here almost weekly. My first hot pot experience and so far my fav. Love the first broth option on the menu and also enjoy it medium spicy. Lotus root is a good topping
Finally, authentic Chinese Malatang in Dallas! Huge variety of fresh ingredients, including meat, vegetables and authentic noodles. Their Mala Ban is perfectly sweet and spicy. Very clean shop, great service, and the fried skewers are a steal! I love the DIY sauce station where you can mix your own dipping sauce. For the real Chinese style experience, try my "Secret Mix": Sugar + Vinegar + Sesame Paste + Sichuan pepper oil.
We came here for lunch already few times. Wonderful experience. Love that you can have your own mix of favorite flavors 😊 there are complimentary rice and gizzards, sweets and sauces 👌
Excellent quality soup and unique fresh ingredients! Tendon noodles and green pepper oil from the sauce bar are highly recommended!

Authentic China style mini hotpot

Great to see another by the pound hot pot place pop up, and on this side of town too! The beef broth is very good, and there's a good selection of ingredients to choose from. My only real complaints are that I wish there were more broth options (many of them are actually no broth options, though they're still very tasty) and that the meats at the end of the line tend to be frozen very solid and hard to grab. The staff have been extremely helpful and responsive both times I've gone so far, and the price is in line with similar by the pound hot pot places like PIXIU and Yin Tang.
I tried the signature beef bone golden broth blew me away. So many different options to choose from. The flavor is crazy good super rich, clean, and just hits different. I honestly wasn’t expecting it to taste that good on my first visit. Will be coming back again for the other selections
This is a great place for cityline! The food was so good, and I'm so glad to have this spot around. The broth was really tasty and I loved all the different ingredients I put in there
The food is great. I highly recommend trying the none spicy broth, the soup was rich and full of flavors. Definitely coming back again.
Excellent hot pot place. Fresh veg and meat. Clean. Highly recommended.
Very good variety and quality of food. Recommend to anyone
I want to say that I've been eating Asian soup for 30 plus years. My go-to favorite was always the Vietnamese pho but this place has took my love of soup to the next level. Being able to pick all the ingredients that you want in your hot soup on a cold day? If I could only explain how aromatic this soup is. Get the golden broth pick your spice, and go crazy at the buffet line. I suggest loading up on the bok choy, cabbage, all the seafood you can handle or whatever else tickles your fancy

Hands down the best mini hotpot in town! The price and the flavor is unbeatable!

Food varieties were OK but nothing to brag about. The temperature of the soup was very good as compare to some of its competitors. The desert/sauce area was not very appealing. This is a self service restaurant so service rating is not applicable.
edit: - even though it was 28C/86F outside, it felt like the A/C was not on and I had to ask again. Places like Happy Lamb and Xiao Long Kan keep the A/C blasting, not sure why I have to ask each time I go in. original review: I came opening day and thought it was good! I appreciate that you can add your own spice because at some places like Yin Tang I found that I would order 4/5 spiciness and it was never the same spice level in reality. Since here I can adjust it myself it will be more consistent. I asked for them to turn on the A/C and they did, which is good because eating spicy hotpot is better when it isn’t so hot inside. I am glad there is a place like this along the DART line and will be visiting often!
4 stars restaurant The food is amazing but there’s minimum weight need to reach (0.8lbs=$12.8). The fried food has to wait a long time Recommend beef soup and creamy mala

I had the golden soup base. It was yummy and I think it’s a good place for introducing people to hot pot! Price was reasonable and the place is cute and in a nice area
The entire concept is terrific, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There just needs to be some better directions though. I was confused off the bat because I wasn't sure what to do, but as soon as a worker seen that, they immediately came and explained everything to me. If there was some instructions explaining the set up by the door, i completely missed it. After the worker helped me out, I was in heaven. It's easy to get carried away though. The first time I went, I ended up with enough food for three meals at around $30. The second time I went, I learned some restraint, and managed to bring my price down to under $20 with still getting full and having left overs. This is probably my new favorite restaurant. My only complaints would be the confusing start for first timers and the seating seems kind of cramped. However, I did appreciate the side counter where people by themselves could eat without having to take up a full table.
The location is great but parking is limited on the street. The parking garage is available and complimentary. The broth is good. However the opponent nearby offers better deal such as complimentary rice, dessert soup, fruit and appetizer. The food selection is appropriate but less than the opponent. Also, the pork balls taste weird to me. Not sure if it’s fully cooked. The restroom appeared not touched since last night, considering we went for lunch. The staffs are friendly though.
This mini hotpot is just average. I can only taste spicy from the dishes. It’s also very expensive at $15.98 per pound. I won’t be returning.

The food tasty ok with slightly pricy, the services needs to be better
My friend's spicy hot pot was cooked, but the whole lump of meat wasn't cooked yet. Then, after they re-cooked it, they ended up waiting for about 15minutes. Isn't that a very simple thing? The efficiency was too slow because wasn't busy at the time, and her vegetables were cooked in a mess after being reheated. OMG!!!!I can't believe the abalone wasn't cleaned properly. I understand that before the charge, the shell and organs were there, extremely fishy, and sand. But we still finished eating because everything cost $15.99 per pound, a terrible experience ,We won't come back again!!!!!!!

Food tasted average but afterwards both my wife and I were extremely ill. (we only ate one meal for the day) Service is none existent. Self served, pick up your own food and put the trays back yourself. I had high hopes for this place but not only is it expensive but the quality is not there. You are better off going to a all you can eat place for the value.
