Giuanun Rivarossa Reviews
A classic village restaurant where the food is always good and the price is right. We tried the mushroom menu, which was very good, with satisfying dishes. Excellent service, attentive to ensuring nothing is missing.
I've passed this restaurant many times and can finally say I've dined here. Mushroom dinner. And what a dinner! Everything was excellent, both the menu and the individual dishes. The fried mushrooms were amazing and the poached eggs with mushrooms were delicious. I hope to return soon. The price for 4 people, including wine and dessert, was absolutely fair. I highly recommend it. Thank you for everything and thank you also for the kindness and professionalism of the staff.
The food was fantastic, I suggest to go there if you're near there
Giuanun is a go-to place for special occasions, but we need to come more often because it's always a pleasure to eat here. The service is impeccable, kind and attentive without being overwhelming. We had three different appetizers, all three meticulously prepared and presented. Then there were two first courses: tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, excellent, and risotto with peaches, stracchino cheese, and a red wine reduction. What can I say? Besides being beautiful to look at, it was also delicious; the rice was perfectly cooked with a balanced combination of flavors. Then there was a portion of fried porcini mushrooms. Superb. Two typical Piedmontese desserts: stuffed peaches and bunet, the real thing, well-made according to tradition. Finally!! We didn't take any photos because we enjoyed this lunch; we'll be back more often and will definitely take some next time. The price is fair, just right. They're definitely worth it.
...a pleasant discovery for me. Brought here by a friend for lunch, it was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent food quality, with dishes featuring unusual combinations, fast service (very welcome during work breaks), visually pleasing presentation, and excellent value for money. The place is clean.
This restaurant serves exceptional Piedmontese cuisine, beautifully presented and heavenly in flavor. The service is excellent at both lunch and dinner, courtesy of Lara, Ilaria, and Sara; to call them friendly is an understatement. Marco, the owner, embodies the aforementioned qualities of the dining room staff, and is a cheerful and friendly person. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Amazing.
June 30, 2024 Sunday lunch. We were the first customers, and they served us very quickly, with great courtesy and kindness. D'averro, when you love your work, the results are visible and appreciated by your customers at a high level. This restaurant is pleasant, very well-kept, with an excellent wine selection. Piedmontese cuisine, friendly staff, excellent food, impeccable service. We had a classic appetizer with a little bit of everything: veal with tuna sauce, Russian salad, peppers in a hot sauce... all very fresh ingredients. Then for the main course - cognilio alla caserola and sliced veal with crispy new potatoes, which melted in your mouth. For dessert - zabaglione. Next time we'd like to try the 8-hour cooked cheek, because everyone around us raved about it. We'll definitely be back. Don't forget to book!!!
Simply loved it...courtesy, hospitality and quality of food at the 🔝🔝🔝...i really loved the exoerience and I am sure I will go there again. For someonw like me who lives most of the year in the UK, having the chance to taste typical Piemontese cousine, and of such quality, it is enjoyment for the stomach but also for the mind. Team @ Gianun, see you soon.

Excellent regional kitchen. Go and try yourself.
It was like being at a family dinner! The food was amazing, the staff was so kind, and fun, the prices were amazing (coming from a new yorker). Will go back!
Ok
We return to this restaurant every now and then for a bite to eat. I have to say, the food is excellent and well-cooked. The wait times are reasonable (perhaps even a little short), and the service is good. Overall, it's a pleasant place where you can chat even when it's almost full. Prices are average.
Trattoria serving typical Piedmontese cuisine, but they also have other dishes off the menu! The outdoor location is very beautiful and welcoming, the staff is super friendly, the service is very attentive with changing cutlery and plates (between courses), excellent wine list! Very good appetizers, I would have expected something more from the first courses but they were not bad and what's more, one was modified to our liking, fried porcini mushrooms were decent, prices are normal! 2 mixed appetizers (7/8), 2 first courses, 1 second course, 1 bottle of wine (€20) for a total of €80.
The restaurant is located on the side of a small road, with a gated entrance that creates easy maneuverability and provides immediate access to a small parking lot with capacity for about 6-8 cars. There is a descent/ascent for those with mobility difficulties/disabilities, or a small flight of five stairs leading to the entrance. The restaurant is modern, well-kept, and recently renovated. In times of COVID, the tables are spaced far apart, and the staff is constantly and permanently masked. The menu is still on paper, but it doesn't feel like a magnet for bacteria. Clean napkins. The wait for the appetizers was just right. Their flavor was decidedly fabulous. In order: tomino (goat's cheese) with fig compote. Very smooth. Russian salad, good but slightly lacking the saltiness that the tuna could have provided. Albese with shavings of parmesan, oil, and pepper. Melts in the mouth. Veal with tuna sauce. Perfect. Tongue in salsa verde. Incredibly light, and the greens enhanced the flavors even more. Cardoon and onion flan with fondue. Delicious. The first courses disappointed me because they weren't up to the level of the appetizers. The tagliatelle were slightly watery and lacked a full-bodied flavor. Other people's first courses weren't up to par either. In short, I recommend this restaurant for its cleanliness, order, the quality of the bread, breadsticks, and pizzas, and the fabulous appetizers. With slightly better first courses, it could achieve great results. The prices are average and fair.
The staff were very aloof, never a smile, bordering on arrogance. The dishes were tasty, but the portions were barely adequate, and there was a long wait between ordering and serving. The atmosphere, however, was very pleasant. Some friends and I ordered the daily menu, which included a quarter of wine, but we forwent it. When we went to pay and asked for a coffee instead of the quarter of wine, the owner (I think) rudely replied, "You pay for coffee here." A great way to retain customers, I'd say.
We wanted to go back and eat the bagna cauda like last year, which was excellent, quite light on garlic... we had a good time. Today, however, it was a disappointment: it tasted like nothing, it tasted like mayonnaise, veal with tuna sauce, no anchovies, no garlic, nothing. Unfortunately, only halfway through the meal, we felt nauseous; a terrible experience. We don't understand how the execution could have changed so much. And paying €40 each for a "mayonnaise/veal with tuna sauce" is quite sad. We're sorry, but they've lost us as customers, and obviously we won't be mentioning it as a point for a dinner like that. Maybe it was our mistake not to mention it at the beginning of the dinner and change the menu. Now I have to eat something sweet and drink a Coke to get rid of this nausea of "nothingness." Kind regards
