This has been the restaurant for my family for decades. I can say confidently that it is my favorite Mexican restaurant, as a Riverside native. This is a family owned restaurant, ran by some of the nicest people you will meet and the food has never been less than perfect. You will not regret visiting Templo Del Sol. I recommend the Jonathan Sampler with extra tacos and the albondigas soup!

I see this spot everyday..on a whim I took my dad here for dinner while he was in town and him and my kids and I LOVED IT. It's a really cozy place, but the food was delicious and the staff was great, will absolutely be going back! Update to my post: this truly is a place for the neighborhood. You feel like you're visiting someone's home and they're making you a wonderful meal. I've since taken my mom and she loved it, and my kids and I come for dinner here and there as well. The enchilada sauce is so good, I could drink it 😋

Yoooo this is the spot close to UCR. They have amazing tacos, their menu is pretty big, the employees are the nicest, and they are SUPER accommodating. I definitely recommend temple del sol to anybody in the area or anybody passing by on the 215, it's close!

A hole in the wall👍. A nice place to eat that brings back memories of Grandmas casa. The wooden chairs are the same dining chairs my grandma had in her dining room. Food is authenic sazon de comida mexicana. Comida hecho con amor. I will definitely b a regular customer.

My dad has been coming here for years and I finally got to go with him for the first time. The food was INCREDIBLE, so flavorful and delicious. The family that owns it are so welcoming and came over to talk to us while we waited for our food. They are also affordable which is not something you encounter too often now. Will be coming back as soon as possible!

We ordered burritos - they came deep fried (unless you ask not to fry) and sauce over them. They are made well, very reasonable price (around $10), but I was a bit disappointed that the sauce was gravy. It was good gravy, but I don’t want it with burritos….

Almost everything was good. The asada burrito was a little on the smaller side, the beer tasted a little funky and I wasn't a fan of the shredded beef. Their carnitas was bomb and so was their chili relleno, I did get the relleno with enchilada sauce. Salsa was spicy! AC was rocking and that's always a plus on these hot summer days. All in all I'll be back.

We used to come here all the time and believe there is a new owner. We had a long drive back home and decided to eat here. While waiting for our Dad to show up to go inside, the man who claimed he was the owner and another man walked out and approached us in hostile manner as my family and I were chatting in the parking lot. He made false accusations and said to pay a $10 parking fee stating "wouldn't you rather pay a $10 parking fee rather than a $500 for a towing fee". There were no signs stating to pay a $10 fee. He made other smartaleck comments after his statement, making the family feeling unwelcome. We've been coming here for years and never had to pay in the past. Very bad look on the business to approach customers in a rude, unprofessional manner, making false accusations, and lying about a parking fee. We ended up leaving and will no longer be coming here after that experience. I would give them zero stars if I could. Don't wait for family in the parking lot because it's clearly prohibited.

This was our first time here. Staff was very nice. We ordered food to go. My wife ordered a asada burrito and it was the size of a taco bell burrito for $14 and it was salty. I ordered a Asada plate with no pico with flower tortillas . I got plenty of pico and no tortillas with my meal and it was salty to me and I love salt. My meal was the size of a child's plate. Very disappointed spent $45 for a meal and didn't even get full.
