La Luna

So this was an interesting place. It was down a short of cobblestone street, and was a little hard to find with GPS. It was in an old warehouse building. The food was good, and it has a nice bar.

We were there for a wedding, the inside is beautiful, the entrance outside when the construction is done will be nice, too. The patio over looking the High Falls is wonderful and that's where the ceremony was with plenty of seating space. The reception space has both upper and lower seating areas plus the dance floor. The food is very good from the cocktail hour offerings to the dinner.

If you are planning an event in ROC, La Luna is where you want it to be! We held my daughters Bridal Shower at La Luna on Sunday. It was an amazing event. Their attention to detail was superb and they covered every request seamlessly with style and grace. I had to plan this entire event from Arizona without seeing the venue. From the moment I spoke to Sergio during the planning process I knew the event would be everything I had hoped. Sergio is absolutely fantastic; organized, detailed, easy to communicate with, the venue is gorgeous and he has a terrific team. Maria and Anna were our servers. They went above and beyond to make the event a success. By the end of the event they were a part of our family. Thank you to Sergio, Maria and Anna You made a very important day just splendid! You guys are fabulous! If I have another event to host in ROC, La Luna will be my venue!

This venue was fantastic! Located near the river, they had a well spaced out indoor area for dinning and dancing , as well as a nice outdoor patio that was half covered. Was here for a wedding that easily housed 100 people easily. The staff was very friendly and at the end of the night I met the owner who was a great talk. I've never been to Rochester NY and looking around the city, this venue was probably the nicest venue around. I would highly recommend using this venue.

The room and outdoor patio were perfect for cocktails and dinner for 50 people. The salmon and prime rib were perfect. Cheesecake and coffee for dessert.

Extremely spacious, and an amazing view I was there for my nieces birthday party so I cant really tell you about thier daily going ons and food but I enjoyed that night. Only downside is there is nowhere to park close to the building itself.

Used to be the old club from the late 90s and early 2000s, Centers. Nice location, great views, cool spot.

Weird and awkward atmosphere! How do you mess up a business with a great location and great view? Someone is not managing this restaurant wisely. We called ahead and we were told that they were busy but could squeeze us in. When we arrived to our surprise the restaurant was half full (at best). It took us over 20 minutes to get our drinks ordered which seemed way too long especially considering they were not busy. The food was good, however nothing to rave about. My mushroom ravioli was good but literally had only four small ravioli for almost $20. They didn't even provide you a salad with your entree which is normal in just about every italian restaurant. As far as our waiter he had no personality and didn't even know if he could serve us the bottle of wine we ordered because it had a 2008 vintage. We sat outside; there was no lighting, no music, no atmosphere at all. All in all we would not go back until they make some serious changes. The only thing that is going for them right now is the view and the food wasn't terrible.

I must admit the venue has a nice view, but the serve stinks. I attended a birthday party there this past weekend and I couldn't believe how blatantly disrespectful the staff was. They acted as though they donated the venue and their serves to my friend and her family. The waitresses were extremely rude and showed a lack of enthusiasm when dealing with the guest. Not only were they rude they definitely lacked home training... One waitress walked by our table and passed gas (More like a stink bomb) as we were trying to eat the cold food they served us. The food was so cold it appeared as though it was prepared the night before and served to us the next day without being heated up. I would never recommend anyone... Not even a dog to rent this venue for any purpose. The only recommendation I would give is for this owner and his staff to attend some hospitality courses at Monroe Community College. Maybe they'd learn how to appreciate paying customers especially those of another ethnicity/race.
