Aperitif Rockville Centre Reviews
We dined at Aperitif Bistro last night (2/16/26 around 7:00PM). We were expecting it to be very busy, since it was a holiday and also the Monday after Valentine’s Day weekend. But it was surprisingly slow. We were perfectly fine with that, as we wanted to have a nice quiet evening. Our server was Jamal and as many of the previous reviews state, he was very nice. I can see why everyone wants to have him as their server. For drinks, we ordered the Aperitif Martini and a Shirley Temple. Both were very good, and my husband, who loves Shirley Temples and orders them everywhere we go, said that his tasted much better than other places we’ve been to. For appetizers, we ordered the escargot and risotto fritters. They were delicious! For our entrees, we ordered the Coq Au Vin Blanc and Fricassee of Scallops. Both were very good. I think the scallops would’ve gone fine with just the truffle cream sauce, it was so good! The butternut squash puree was also good. The leeks were okay (I’m just not a fan of leeks). Both dishes were delicious, I’d definitely recommend them both. It was kind of difficult finding a good French restaurant and we’re so happy to have found Aperitif Bistro. They share the same owners as Sage Bistro in Woodbury (which was actually my second choice). We can’t wait to dine here again.
My girlfriend and I had wonderful experience here! The staff was friendly and very nice!
This was an amazing restaurant with great food and service. Our waiter, Jamal, never fails to put a smile on our faces. Highly recommend, 10/10
Our wait Djamal was awesome…,this was my first time here and will continue to be a frequent customer. The good was amazing, our waiter truly made our night extra special
The place has a great atmosphere, with great food. I've been there multiple times and plan to keep going
First time here. Great kitchen. excellent service (Ronaldo!!!). Solid wine choices. Will be coming back often. Onion soup; prosciutto melt; steak tartar; halibut w/risotto.
We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Apéritif Bistro in Rockville Centre. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We began with the mussels special, prepared with roasted garlic, rosemary, ouzo, and feta cheese—an incredible combination of flavors. Next, we had the soup du jour, a rich and comforting potato leek soup with Gruyère cheese. For my main course, I ordered the seafood salad and requested a touch of garlic, which the kitchen happily accommodated. The result was phenomenal—fresh, vibrant, and reminiscent of a delicious ceviche. Lastly, we enjoyed the grilled filet of branzino, perfectly cooked and served with a side of asparagus. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also extraordinary. A special shoutout to our bartender, Jamal, who was phenomenal! He was incredibly pleasant, offered excellent suggestions, and was very personable, making our experience even more enjoyable. We truly cannot say enough positive things about this place. Highly recommend!
First time at Aperitif and it was for Restaurant Week. So glad I took the leap of faith to check out this place. I am a local and always pass by constantly saying I need to check it out!! Beyond my expectations! Restaurant week menu was delicious, my husband and I got the lamb chops and escargot to start- both delicious & my first time having escargot. Safe to say I am a fan!! my entree was the filet Mignon over butternut squash risotto SO GOOD and his was the hanger steak with sweet potato French fries - he said it was great! We ended off with both dessert options I forgot what his was called but I had the red wine pears with ice cream. The drinks were great and the espresso martinis were perfectly made. Thank you Aperitif we will be back and shout out to Johnny our server he wasn’t shocked at our plates being completely empty LOL
Aperitif is a really lovely and elegant restaurant. It has beautiful décor, from the ceiling to the floor, as well as mouth-watering food and wine, that's both delectable and well plated. I once spent almost an entire summer here; I'd dine here every weekend religiously and returned recently for dessert. It has an ambiance that many restaurants fail to ever accomplish and I find that quite impressive. I do, however, have one very important request: please bring back the Panna Cotta. It was divine! 😇 (I've included some photos from their website to better emphasize the ambiance.)
Aperitif in RVC. We loved it! We came here for an early Mother's Day celebration with my parents and it was perfect. The food was delicious from the warm bread, to the apps, entrees, and dessert. It was nice and quiet since we went for an early 4PM dinner and the service was great. We love trying new places and this definitely didn't disappoint. We got the Buffalo chicke meatballs, risotto fritters(my fave), chicken dip sandwich, linguine with clams, mussels, and crème brûlée. All pictured.
I had the pleasure of dining here tonight, I can honestly say this is one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time, the food quality is amazing and the only thing better is the service. Johnny our server went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and well taken cared of, Peter the manager was incredibly attentive to detail and made sure everything was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about Johnny and Peter, I highly recommend this place. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed!
Good restaurant - service is good - food is good - wine list is okay - cocktails are okay. There is a French touch that is cute - good feeling of Bistro style food was okay. No need to have chicken in the potato-leek soup. The steak was okay but lot of fat. We may come back to try other plates
My family and I reserved a table for 7, when we got there they didn't have the reservation, we were celebrating Mother's Day, so we didn't have anything else to go... We insisted that we did the reservation, showed them some prove, and they try their best to get us a table, we had to wait like 25 minutes, we tried to stay happy because it was a special moment. The food were good, some delay for the entries but they did their best.
my friend and I stopped by here on Saturday for a couple glasses of wine and we shared 10 oysters, which unfortunately gave us terrible food poisoning. the atmosphere is nice and I’ve been here before and enjoyed it but I felt the need to post this PSA to check to make sure the oysters are fresh
