Botbar Sacramento Reviews
This is a must-see! He was super cute, waving and dancing, making coffee.
Beautiful place, really nice friendly morning staff
We really enjoyed our experience here! The food was delicious...we ordered a buttermilk blueberry muffin that was warm and soft and delicious. We also shared a gourmet sandwich, which was also heated and crunchy. We had 2 coffees that were really good and not too sweet (which is perfect for us). The coffee robot was fun to watch. The space in the back was delightful. We sat by the fir and enjoyed the calming vibe. Parking was easy to find at the nearby Capitol garage. Overall, a great time!
Pretty cool. Input and pay for your order through the kiosk. Then wait for the robot to dispense it to you. We ordered two lattes however, I didn’t see an option to get a large size cup. I’m assuming the small cup size was the standard. Another thing was I didn’t see an option to customize the milk or sweetness level. Not a problem for us though. The store hours listed they close on weekends which is a bummer bc it’s located across the street from the state capitol. They would probably be busy and have a nice crowd on the weekends. There is also an employee on site just in case you need to order pastry and such.
It's a robot making coffee! He was so polite and good at his job. I look forward to serving our coffee making overlords. Will be back!
Spacious and unique spot, the coffee was very good. The Robot is quick and very fun to watch. Apparently he can dance!
Me and my friend were travelling and driving all the way down, from Alaska. Our car broke down in the sunny city of Sacramento, so we had to fix it up. At the same time, we decided to go for a refreshing walk, where I had to go and find a place to powder my nose. Me and my friend quicky found the Botbar Coffee – restroom was very clean and had everything needed. Once I got done, I came to see my friend and very friendly barista made iced drinks for us, on house – it completely made our day and refreshed our throats. Thank you so much for such hospitality! Peace from Alaska!
One of the best matcha I’ve had in downtown. Smooth, floral and they actually use ceremonial grade. The robot barista is super cool
Amazing place , welcome to the FUTURE :-) nice customer service , and super robot 🤖
Had their matcha latte during lunch and it was good. There’s plenty of space in the back to work or study and there’s plenty of outlets. Nice hidden gem
Stopped by the latest coffee shop near the Capitol and was very pleased to be welcomed in by the staff, including Adam the coffee bot! Good prices, good environment and a really great show while watching your coffee be made right in front of you! Highly recommend.

I did not try any of the food items yet.... The preparation for the iced matcha was an entertaining experience.

I absolutely love Botbar Coffee! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a fun, futuristic vibe that’s unlike any other coffee shop. The robotic barista is not just a cool gimmick — it is incredibly efficient and makes consistently great drinks. I ordered an oat milk latte, and it was perfectly balanced, smooth, and delicious. What really stood out was how clean, organized, and inviting the space felt. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick coffee or hang out with friends. Service was surprisingly fast even during busy hours, and the whole process felt seamless and modern. Highly recommend Botbar if you’re looking for great coffee with a tech-forward twist. Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by Botbar Cafe on February 28 while visiting Sacramento for a couple of days. We were curious to try the robot barista, and it didn’t disappoint! The coffee was great—my husband really liked his—and the woman at the counter was super welcoming and kind. They don’t have a wide selection of baked goods, but the overall experience was fun and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
I was impressed to be greeted by a robot but I've seen similar gimmicks before so no big deal. However, when I ordered my coffee and realised the robot was going to make it, I was very impressed. I had a latte and my wife a hot chocolate and the robot made both. We left and took a seat outside and the tried our drinks. We were very disappointed, there was hardly and chocolate in the hot chocolate and the coffee was very weak especially considering I ordered the stronger blend.

Botbar coffee was not as expected and it left me disappointed. The staff had trouble with the Bot and it took three times to make an Americano. The Bot kept saying “American Failed.” It flung its arms around crashing into the coffee machine and the staff had to manually pull the arm away and reset. The Bot never actually made it correctly, it had to be finally made by a human being that worked there. I was initially curious and excited. And then after I left re-assured that only humans can make coffee correctly. Good gimmick, didn’t work and actually the Bot actually made more work for the “Real” workers. Coffee was subpar, nothing exceptional.
The robot barista is the whole reason you walk through the door… and honestly, the only reason. The staff can be super friendly and helpful—but it’s DIY unless you wave someone down. Botbar is serving “figure it out, human" vibes. Botbar is sleek and cozy, even if it feels like the caffeine-pouring Terminator might glitch and go all Skynet. 🤖 But the robot is the star of the show, and watching it make your drink is weirdly hypnotic. The coffee though? Oof. If you like your latte to taste like a melted dessert menu, you’re in luck. Even the “not sweet” drinks come sugar-slammed like they’re trying to win a state fair ribbon. So if you're into robotics and type 2 diabetes—congrats, you’ve found your happy place. How I break down my ⭐️ reviews: 1 - No. Not if it was the last thing on DoorDash. 🗑️ 2 - Meh. Maybe if I’m desperate, close, and high. 😬 3 - Mid. Not texting the group chat about it. 🤷♀️ 4 - Hella solid. Planning my next visit. 😋 5 - Shut up and take my money. Om Nom Nom. 🔥

i was really excited to get the matcha but it was really overpriced ($9), so i didn't buy it and decided to get a pumpkin spice latte but they up charged a dollar for oatmilk, making it 8 dollars. in the end the robot didn't even make my drink and it was water downed.

I came in at about 11:40 on MLK day. We were walking by and 4 of our kiddos needed to use the restroom, I let her know I would buy a matcha or something. From the start she was extremely rude and uninviting and unhelpful. Would not come back, and I work down the street, could have been my new go to coffee shop.
Cashier was extremely rude. She was mad because I opted to order at the register instead of the kiosk. Then I waited almost 15 minutes for my coffee only to have the bot break in the end.
