Cora Coffee Sacramento Reviews
cora coffee is criminally underrated. every drink is so thoughtfully curated. from the beans they use to the seasonal syrups they make in house. i consistently feel like i snuck a piece of heaven down on earth every time i go here.
The coffee was great. I got an iced vanilla latte and the atmosphere was cool. They had this hilarious little finger skateboard to play with while I waited for my drink.
Relaxed quiet atmosphere. Perfect for working or grabbing a coffee with a friend. One of my favorite coffee shops, and amazing lattes/mocha. Wish they were open later or on the weekend!
Great spot to come to. Gets me out of the hotel and away from the common Starbucks coffee. Prices are very reasonable to me. I pay more in Arizona.
Food is baked here on site. Enjoyed the swirled pumpkin bagel and a latte. Staff was friendly and the vibe was relaxing and quiet. Would come back again!
I've been back for laptop work days twice now. I had my ladies Cafe Cowork Sacramento meetup here too. Great space. Super friendly staff. Good cold drinks and coffee. I LOVE that bike parking is right in the front window so I don't worry about my bici. Note: if you need to charge up, there is only one electrical outlet by the window. The long bench has what look like outlets but they are not. So be strategic and charge your laptop before coming, in case you need to wait a bit for that table. Still, a great work spot. And FedEx across tge street if you need to print --so convenient! 1st visit: I tried the Cutie matcha strawberry milk drink. Great--and I don't usually like matcha TBH. Super friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and it seems like a solid place to work on a laptop. I'll be back x1000.
Amazing toffee latte and bagels! The cream cheese is breathtaking. Ambiance is lovely, too. The modern design mixed with the plants makes it feel refreshing. A lot of business people will hang here since it’s right next to a bunch of office spaces, but they aren’t a problem or anything. One complaint though is the lack of power outlets. Be sure to have your laptops and phones funny charged if you plan on working here for long periods. Also, the music was a bit loud at some points. If you came here to study I’d suggest bringing your headphones just in case!
This place does an outstanding latte breve. Kind people, excellent choice of jazz music. A great, open vibe. I like it! Right across from our hotel.
This new Downtown coffee shop is my new go-to spot for coffee and working away from home. The baristas are genuinely friendly folks. They have great espresso drinks- I go for a cappuccino, and their drip coffee is well balanced. Though the Curly blend is their house coffee, they also feature different roasters across the country which is fun because I like trying other people's coffee as well! Big fan, I'll definitely be a regular here.
I had a wonderful experience at Cora Coffee yesterday. The space is clean, spacious and has a cool vibe. The staff were all so kind. My dirty chai was perfect.
Updated review: I ended up frequenting this cafe quite often. I really enjoy their pumpkin spice latte as well as their muffins. It isn't too sweet so it pairs really well with the cofffee. Additionally, the nice latte art always makes my day. I also tried their drip coffee; pretty decent! Lighter and more acidic flavors in coffee isn't my favorite, but I can appreciate the care/quality. Additionally, I like how spacious the Cafe is, so great place to chat with people and start your morning. Old Review: I like this cafe located in a workspace on J street. The decoration is minimal, black and white, which looks modern and sleek. It's accented with plants and reading material about coffee. I think they specialize in Ethiopian coffee. I tried their latte and thought that it was decent for $5/12 oz. They also offer several kinds of teas which is hand brewed. The baristas seem to put a lot of effort in their craft.
I was searching for a new coffee shop to study at, and I’m so glad I found this gem right on J Street! The coffee is good—I tried the peppermint mocha. The atmosphere inside is perfect: peaceful, quiet, and with a great view to enjoy while working or relaxing.

This is a quaint, coffee shop, serving coffee, tea, sandwiches, soups, and dessert. Cashier was helpful with options and very personable.
They use real matcha, answered my request for half oat milk/half water without any hesitation, and filled my personal cup. It tastes delicious and wonderful service. Also calm and quiet atmosphere that invites to stay. I’ll be back 💛
They had a really good sweet yam syrup that I added to my mocha and it was super tasty! My partner got it as a latte. Both are reccomend-able
I've been here a handful of times and the drinks and baked goods are always tasty! The baristas are friendly and do their absolute best despite there usually only being one at a time. Theres zines to look at while you wait and if you want to drink your coffee there, you can pretty much always find a spot to sit. Its a shared building with office spaces around the cafe setup, but suits don't impede on the atmosphere. Anyone complaining about the service should probably get over themselves.

I’ve only been here once but it was a pleasant experience! The coffee shop is by the capital slightly tucked away inside big building but their cute sign outside welcomes you in. The inside is spacious and has lots of light from the big windows with a decent amount of seating if you wanted to sit and sip or even work on stuff at the tables. My friends and I all got iced strawberry matchas and they were tasty! I like that the strawberry flavor wasn’t super intense but complimented the matcha. I’m on the hunt for my go to matcha place and I’m going to have to come back to try their other variations and a regular matcha. Very cute retro decor going on too. The worker was really nice when we went and it was very slow.

I was in Sacramento for work and looked for a nice coffee shop to get some work done for a few hours. Staff was friendly enough. Coffee was not fresh, but I didn't make a big deal about it. What truly upset me was being asked to leave the area I had my things set up in for a less desirable area of the shop to accommodate the set up of a private event. As a paying customer, I thought it was rude for someone to approach me and tell me that I had to move. In the future, if you know that there is a private event scheduled for an area of your shop, you should have signage posted to give your walk-in customers a heads up and give them the choice to sit in another area or go to another business. I won't be returning.

The espresso drinks (third-wave style) were made to a high standard. The staff is friendly, the place is beautiful and inviting, and I love the restaurant annex situation in the back that you can take your coffee to. The three stars are for the $7 cortado. I work in the industry and have coffee around the world in some of the most expensive cities. This is not a $7 cortado. It was, alas, delicious.
Been here a few times because it's conveniently close to my work. However, I'm always disappointed with the quality. Not sure what everyone raves about. I want to like this place, but its not all that. Asked for a large extra shot mocha today. Not sure what I got, as it was very sour in taste. Also wasnt large and the barista didnt mention they only have one size. So for 8 bucks, not worth it.
Unfortunately our cortado was horrible and tasted like sour milk and a burnt/sour smell to match. It seemed the shot was extremely under extracted. The yam flat white and miso caramel latte (after adding a bit of sweetener) was good! But I can’t give more than 2 stars since sugar and milk is easy to make taste good. As a coffee shop, the cortado should also be good. We were also very surprised they don’t have whip cream

Business was left unstaffed Friday at 11:39 am. No one making drinks, no one at the cash register. Door unlocked. Upon bringing this up, the “general manager” proceeded to go off on me. Definitely think there’s racial motivations for her extreme reaction. If you are someone of color I would NOT feel safe here. She told me to post this on social media further proving to me it is racially motivated. So here I am posting :-). PS: chocolate fish is around the corner and they are VERY inclusive.
