Love this place and the people. They have multiple locations,. This one is very casual, but they have cocktails and super great casual food. They have a location in Granite Bay, which is a sit down, where they offer a larger option. It's certainly on my list to visit

This place is a long time favorite. The management are great, some of the staff are hit or miss, but the food is some of the best I've ever had and they're good people. If I want authentic Mexican food, this is my go-to. Best I've had in the entire state, and I've traveled from top to bottom, and even beyond California I've never found anything like it. There's no Mexican restaurant I would recommend higher.

I felt like I was in Mexico when I walked in. Loved that transport of cultural experience. I had the meatball soup, it was tasty, with a side of tortillas for a buck fifty, floury and hot. I’d give this place like a 4.5 stars in all, round it up to 5.

Now, let's talk about the food – outstanding! I opted for the veggie burrito, and it was a flavor explosion. The ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavors was simply mouthwatering. Each bite felt like a journey through the rich culinary traditions of Mexico. The salsa and chips deserve a special mention. The salsa was vibrant and had the perfect balance of spices, while the chips were crispy and served as the ideal accompaniment. Overall, my visit to Don Quixote's Mexican Grill was a delightful experience, and I can't wait to go back. This is one of our favorite places and we go here quite often. The food is fantastic! We normally get the chicken grande burrito, the chicken chimichanga, the grande quesadilla, or the nachos. All of them are so good and we highly recommend. The owner and the staff are always friendly. Free chips and salsa is a nice feature also. They also catered for our swim team.

Don Quixote is a clean friendly Restaurant with many options. Today I tried the Machaca Breakfast Burrito bowl with Shredded beef, sautéed onions, tomatoes, eggs w/refried beans , Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese. I got it to go so I could enjoy it at home. It was really good with good flavor. However I didn’t realize by using my credit card they charge and extra fee of .33 which is a bummer. ☹️

Was super excited to try this place out! I was impressed when I walked in the door at the fast service, the wonderful smells that filled the air and how yummy the food looked! My friends ordered burritos that looked so amazing!! I ordered the quesabirria tacos with the consume, and I was asked if I wanted everything, I said yes. Everything meant cilantro and onions. I can appreciate the flavors from both the cilantro and the onion but in moderation. I was so excited to get my food, and from the looks of it, I couldn't wait to take a bite! I was disappointed to bite into what tasted like an onion taco. There was SO much onion. Like, it was ridiculous. Also, very little meat, BUT as I bit into it, there was a chunk of something in my first taco that was so gross that I had to spit it out. I looked at the chunk, and it looked like meat, but it certainly didn't taste like meat. Blehh!! I was totally skeptical to eat anymore, so I opened up all 3 of my tacos and emptied out all the onions. Thankfully, there were no more chunks of anything. I enjoyed the dipping sauce and the cheese in the tacos. I will go back but I won't order that dish again unless I get it without onions.
