Mango Taco Mexican Cafe Sacramento Reviews
We tried this place, since it was close to our flight going out. We had 3 carnitas and 3 Pollo tacos. We had both tacos just like it had on the menu, no extra toppings. Both types of tacos tasted pretty good with the salsa that came with the entree. The meat was seasoned okay, not too salty and not too bland. The chips still had a crunch to it, so it was still pretty fresh. The salsa tasted better than the ones in the bottle, Of course these tacos aren't real Mexican food, but these tacos definitely tasted better than Taco Bells, so no complaints from me.

Airport eatery. Mango in the name but none of the menu. The crew was working hard and friendly. The food is basic. The $31 lunch (including tax and tip) is high for airport food of this caliber. Someone look at this and help them.
Would give 3.5 if I could. Food was decent given the fact it is fast food at the airport and the options in SMF are slim. The self order station was broken; it took 10-15 mins just to order. Meal came out wrong, even though I didn't order anything custom, but they fixed it. The two staff were nice but clearly struggling to keep up with orders.
Let's start off by saying that you're in an airport so it's not going to be a good value. I thought the food itself was fine. I got a breakfast burrito bowl with chorizo and Pico de Gallo. The problem comes from the fact that I didn't actually get a bowl like it said. It said a flour tortilla but instead it was just in a box.
As of July 16, 2025 a chicken or Pollo Ranchero burrito and a bottle of soda cost me $25.09.
It’s an airport, so keep your expectations in check. With this said, we found our overpriced chicken nachos to be better than we expected based on the other reviews. What would make it better? More heat/seasoning; some Cholulas hot sauce on it would go a long way
Chicken bowl was okay but really watery at the bottom. Expensive for what it is, even for airport pricing.

39 bucks, 3 tacos. No beans, no ride. Added cheese, pico, got salsa, guacamole , one not intuitive self check out, one employee working, love this line in food court at Sacramento airport. Order diet Pepsi there were none. Don’t really know what you’re ordering. Be much better to just choose a different restaurant. Food not tasty no human interaction whatsoever.
If goofing off was what I was rating this place would get high marks. The three workers had zero interaction with the patrons. There is a kiosk that you order from. But they offer no help. Not all of the options are on the kiosk. So I guess it’s acceptable to just guess.

When you order rice at this “Mexican food” establishment, you will spend $4.50 for literal white steamed rice. And update your point of sale items if you are going to have zero staff taking orders and rely on a touch screen ordering system. I ordered one of the 4-5 beer options they didn’t actually have on offer. My only options were two bees that were really terrible alternatives to my paid for first option. So to match the value of my already paid for, I had to hold up the employee to help me find a comparable option. Doesn’t seem hard to update the POS as inventory rotates. This place has zero care for quality and service and relies on desperate or unassuming travelers. The employee was nice. The rest was a dump. Bad salsa too.
Extremely rude service 3-16-24. I asked for a cup for water and was told I had to buy a bottle. I asked isn’t it proper to have water available when serving food. The man told me “show me where it says that in the code”. I was shocked. The couple before me had a scuffle as well and left 1/2 way through their order. I wish I had as well.
Food was terrible for the price Not worth it. Worst tacos i probably ever had in California. Nachos weren’t that bad but still pretty lackluster Meat , cheese , sour cream and pico.
Mink does not approve of this taco. Mink will not stand for this. This is treason against the United States of America and is an absolute offensive remark against the Mexican culture. Mink was in absolute anguish and despair as he opened up his box to a disgusting site of “tacos”. The chicken is completely unseasoned as if I had just watch them get slaughtered and processed and ate it as it was handed over to me. The tortilla tasted like a welcome mat in front of a 2 star hotel where thousands of middle and lower class citizens step on daily. Mink will never forget, as Mink does not forgive. Mink will remember this day as a time of suffering to his tastebuds. Mink will be back, and Mink expects the food to be exceptional. Mink out. - Mink
I should have frickin' known - I should have frickin' known, from the inhumane price tag, to the 1 entire person in line, that there was something terribly wrong going on. Portions were abysmally small for such a high gouged price. Get this - they promised chips and salsa - but never gave them. Upon this realization, I came back. T-they - they informed me that they had.. ... run out of chips and salsa. To this moment I am still dumbfounded that I chose to buy food at this high of a price. My entire being is shaken to its very core. Think about it. Tacos that were okay at best, and could be eaten in one bite - costed 7$ per taco. No chips. No salsa. No satisfaction.

Ordered a couple of bowls as they were the only options we had at 7 PM. There was a lone worker. Food was mediocre taste and quanity was little, but for a very high price.
I get the airport pricing, but nothing stands out, food is very bland. Salsa.... sort of tastes like ketchup. Portion is small, even for airports. Service was nice each time.
$40 for 2 small burritos. $1.50 for extra sauce . What a scam! The reviews are accurate. I wish I had checked the out before getting ripped off with inferior service, quality and food. Do yourself a favor and skip the place.
Staff was super nice but the self service, styled "ordering made easy", made me almost miss my flight....or food. People in front of me struggled forever with the kiosk - and the staff had to continuously leave the cooking station to help. Also, the menu on the self service kiosk was not the same as the menu posted above or printed. Added frustration: we were expected to bag our own food. Items were just placed in a heap on the counter next to the bags.
Ordered 2 beers before my flight. Waited 20 minutes and nothing. Asked for a refund and waited another 10 minutes for a manager to help. Got tired of waiting and just got my beers. Only 2 people working and 2 managers working in the back. If you are in a hurry, do not go here. ZERO stars! Staff appears to have no sense of urgency, even when there are 20 people in line. The "I don't care attitude" is very visible.
Riley (or whoever served me at 7:02pm on march 27) put a significantly small portion in my bowl, (I paid $20 for half a bowl or less) and had specs all in my soft drink. Never got my chips as ordered and almost late for flight. Also racially profiled through micro aggressions. Never coming here again.

Every time, horrible service for sub par food. It’s clear none of the employees want to be there or care at all about the level service they provide. I watch, over and over, as customers have to explain what they ordered at pickup time, like the employees can’t take the time to read the damn order receipt and see what’s missing. Never again…
One burrito with a one dollar tip cost almost 22 dollars and the burrito was a knock off version of a Taco Bell value menu and Taco Bell still had more flavor than this. I would not recommend this place at all. Very low quality food.
