My wife and I had a great stay at this property. We decided to go on trip to western NY on short notice, but the properties in Ellicotville were either booked up or very expensive. The Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino had much more affordable rooms that were very nice and had a spectacular view. It's a very easy, scenic drive from the resort to Ellicotville, so it's definitely a convenient place to stay if you're going skiing. My only small complaint is that, like others have mentioned, there was a faint cigarette smell in the room when we first checked in, but it went away pretty quickly so it didn't end up being a big deal. We enjoyed the food at the Toscana Grill a lot and had some great drinks from both of the bars on site. There is a gift shop on-site that is really convenient as well, as it stays open pretty late and has snacks, drinks, medicine, etc. It was also a wild experience relaxing in the outdoor hot tub when it was about 15 degrees outside. The staff were all great and did an awesome job making us feel welcome. Overall, this was a really fun place to stay and a great value for how nice and well-maintained the property is.

Room was very nice. We had problems booking the room. Ended up with 2 but, because I used PayPal, we got a refund. Took a few days Morning Continental Breakfast sucked.

It’s a far drive from where I live so I don’t go very often. This year I’ve gone twice so far for the first time in 10 years or so. Management was so kind, helpful and polite. Employees are very nice and friendly. I’ll be going back soon to try the food. It’s been over 10 years since I’ve had any from there.

Event Center: Our corporate event was incredible, we are so glad we chose this group! Food was delicious, AV crew was excellent, Hotel booking and staff were fantastic! Everyone we worked with- the head of the sales team, chef and catering crew, AV guys, group sales for the hotel, valet, Everyone was communicative, great to work with. (and not just us the customers, but the vendors loved this team also!) Even when I was up in the salon, the woman mentioned that she'd heard great things about the event center team for weddings and events. Highly recommend them!!

First time here but definitely will return again! The rooms were spacious, clean and welcoming. The resort was nice with spa, pool and hot tub available for overnight guests. The holiday 🎄 party was very nice—good music and company. Loved the stay!!

Seneca Allegany is were I preferred to go and stay for a couple of days. I would get comp rooms and food, and I still do. I hadn't been there in quite a while because of covid. This last time I saw some changes that I didn't like. They now have a smoking room, insteaf of being able to smoke on the floor, don't like. The room I stayed in wasn't like the previous decor at all. Just didn't have that high class appeal. So next time I will ask for a different room. I didn't try the buffet, assuming they still have one. The staff and service is exceptional and love that the elevator connects the rooms, dining and casino.

The hotel staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We ended up upgrading our complimentary room to an end suite with jacuzzi tub for a slight up charge. The room was amazing, clean and the tub was worth the charge! Any Buffet is skeptical at first but we have ZERO complaints for this buffet. The food was fresh and so many choices at a reasonable price as well. Delicious. Great stay!! And will be back.

I had a good time here I went shopping and got a few gifts for Christmas. I also had good meal and drinks from the bar and got Starbucks to go on my way home all from the casino. I ended up playing slots for a few hours and left a few hundred up it was a good time.

My husband and I went to Seneca Allegheny resort to see Ron White and spend some time in the casino. The show was fantastic and we went to the bar area afterwards to listen to the live band they had playing. It's a beautiful casino and we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend it.

I'm not a gambler, but had a great time with my group who were. Between the great restaurants in the casino. The comfortable rooms. Plus the beautiful fall scenery, as well as off site breweries, and distilleries, everyone had a great weekend.

The casino itself is beautiful. The workers are kind. The pool was warm. And they also had a cut off time for children at the pool. I am a mom myself but I still thought it was really cool for adults to have their own swim time. The food above the casino is amazing. And our rooms were beautiful as well. The shower does get pretty hot but that's a bonus point for me!

We go to Seneca Allegany for a weekend away every September. We love the rooms and out of the way location that feels like it is away from it all. Our only real complaint would be the drinks situation. Drinks are “free” if you are actively playing a game at the casino, but waitresses come around very rarely and the drinks are tiny. You can go to the bar but there are so many people pretending to “play” at the bar that you can’t get in to even pay for a drink. We spent way too long trying to get anything to drink, and that was even when we were willing to buy them. A regular cash bar would have been better. It made us leave the casino floor early every evening as they started to get busy. Pro tip- order a Detroit style hot honey pizza from Toscana and take it back to your room for a late night snack or relaxed dinner. It is amazing!

Staying at this hotel was an interesting experience. The view of the mountains and the beautiful scenery was great, and the design of the lobby was nice. The problem was that the first room we were given had an empty shampoo bottle, the bed sheets had black spots on them, and although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, it smelled of cigarettes. When I mentioned these issues to the reception, they changed our room, and the new one was better. We had the breakfast buffet, but it really wasn’t impressive and definitely not at the level of a 4-star hotel. For dinner, we tried the Italian restaurant, and the food was excellent.

So disappointing. Went to celebrate 20th anniversary just be let down by pizza that was burnt, the drinks over priced and could not taste any alcohol so taste like straight soda and last but not least no sleep due to there heating system that really needs checked just kept making annoying cranking noises entire time and the view was just roads. With a 3.5 hr drive home no sleep really sucked. We let them know at checkout to have maintenance check it out. Will say place is clean and staff all seemed nice but never again.

Room seemed well kept other than one of the charging strips falling out of the wall. The reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because of everything else here. To start, the entire hotel was very warm, like uncomfortably warm. Then I went for breakfast in the morning to be greeted by a hostess who seemed sad to be there, and being charged 15 bucks for a breakfast burrito which was super dry in some parts and literally wet in others on top of it not even being wrapped properly so everything was falling out the bottom every time i took a bite. I was then going to try out the casino a bit, but decided against that when I saw how everyone who was already in there looked legitimately depressed at the machines, not to mention it was super bright and loud. Also, mattresses were way to soft and provided no support what so ever, so you end up sinking down in and can’t really move much.

Always heard in the east, Seneca was THE place to go and the only place offering free drinks while you gambled. I’m still a bit “gray” on that as I got a few free beers at a bar that had a poker machine built into the bar top I was playing but if they did at the machines, there were FEW waitresses and it sure wasn’t made known. Our room was nice but the hall getting to it smelled like a “pot” farm. It wasn’t “bad” but it was a casino like everywhere else: pretty tight machines.

The Mrs. and I have visited the Seneca Allegany hotel and restaurants numerous times over the past couple of years. With elderly family members requiring our proximity at all times, and her working as a travel nurse with 50 to 60 hour weeks, it serves as an excellent getaway that is not too far from home. We have consistently enjoyed our time there. The food at the steakhouse and Toscana Grill is ALWAYS exceptional, and the hotel rooms are always clean and well-maintained. However, our recent stays have been inconsistent, with our last visit being a final straw ordeal. On three separate occasions during our recent stays, we were charged a significant amount of money to our credit card after checking out, necessitating a call to the facility. The first instance of this issue arose when we were charged for snack items that we never consumed from the room after staying in one of the jacuzzi suites. During the very next stay, housekeeping apparently could not find a small throw blanket featuring the Seneca logo, and they attempted to charge us $50 for it, alleging that we had taken it upon checkout. I find it hard to understand why ANYONE would take such an item. It is quite small, and the design is not particularly appealing. This most recent stay was indeed the deal breaker for us. Upon checking in, I inquired with the front desk staff if it would be possible for someone to inspect the room before and after our check-in/out to ensure that we would not incur any charges after our stay. She expressed her apologies for the previous incidents and assured me that she would make a note in our account to prevent any charges post-checkout. The following morning, we checked out, and later that evening, I received ANOTHER charge on my credit card. This time, it was a absurd $250 charge. Apparently, housekeeping discovered dried wax of all things, adhered to the carpet in the room. Consequently, I had to contact the facility once more. The hotel manager clarified that the exorbitant $250 fee was designated as a 'deep clean' charge. She maintained a polite demeanor throughout the entire matter and waived the fee,; however, they presumptively attributed the wax on the floor to our stay, despite the possibility that housekeeping may have overlooked it from a prior visit. I did not notice it during our stay, but we were not precisely scrutinizing the room. I don't feel we should have to when we are simply trying to enjoy seom off time. It is, to say the least, disappointing. We greatly enjoy our time at this location, yet we are uncertain about returning as we don't want to deal with this every single time we visit. They never reached out to us regarding any of these incidents to inquire about them; they simply charged my card without consultation and made us feel as though we had stolen items and vandalized the premises. This is not the kind of experience we wish to encounter when we are merely trying to escape from our daily routines occasionally.

Stayed here before in the past. Very good location a wonderful view of the mountains and very clean rooms. The downfall is there is no microwave in the rooms and nobody will let you use one here like they don’t exist. They put two bottles of water in your room stating you will be charged two dollars per bottle for each one? Wow that’s weird Wouldn’t you just think they would give you a complementary water? I guess it’s all about the money 🙄 The pillows are horrible. They feel like there’s air blowed up in them. You would think they would give you some type of a breakfast even if it was just a few snacks or granola bars but other than that, I guess it was fine

Went to the New Years Buffet, Kinda went downhill. The food was old, and wasn't much of a selection too choose from. Furniture and Rugs and getting old and dated. The price wasn't bad, tho.

This hotel is a JOKE! The service is trash, the rooms ALL smell like cigarettes. They have bottled water in the room with a sign saying "for your convenience we left you water" it will cost you conveniently 3 dollars a bottle of water.... as if you can't get a 24 pack of the same water for 4.25 at the store. The only thing convenient about this place is the charges they charge you! EVERYTHING is over priced and pore service! Don't worry, there's a sign saying you can't bring a cooler or outside drinks either! PAY THEM MORE I used to come here for the buffet all the time, but after staying at the hotel and seeing how this place treats the people and gouges them at every corner. I will never return to this place. Not even to come to the restaurant ever again! The most crazy part about this is they act like they don't have a casino connected that they recoup their money in.
