Demo's San Antonio Reviews
Demo's does not disappoint! I was craving Greek food, I was in the area, and remember this location. The staff was friendly, our food was ready faster than I expected. The fries were nice and hot and the gyro had plenty of tzatziki, other places give very little and then charge extra for more. Plus the food tasted great. The restaurant was clean as well as the bathroom.
I didn’t catch his name, but he had glasses and is training to be a cop, he was wonderful! Super helpful for ordering. I haven’t had Greek before so I was slightly nervous but he made it very easy for me to order what I would like! All staff was friendly. Would recommend!
We had to wait about 20 minutes but it was excellent. Give them a try!
Great place and food quality is amazing. The interior design is very beautiful, simple and yet artistic. Staff is alwahs nice. Ive been eating here for the past 6 years and its always been great.
The customer service or way they treat you is really beyond amazing here. The food is always the best Greek in San Antonio. They fixed an order for me today. Even though it was my fault. That gesture meant so much. They have no idea how much that changed my day. The little things. PS -
I haven't been here in a good minute. But, let me tell you the flavor was just as good as i remembered it. Always a clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Very friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of parking. The food was a combination plate, chicken. It was so delicious. I love pita bread! $50 for 2 people
Very friendly service in a clean establishment. The menu was easy to read, with plenty of options. Our orders came out in a timely manner and looked awesome! The food was freshly made. The veggies were fresh and crisp and the falafel was good and hot. The tzatziki sauce was delicious...glad we ordered extra! I didn't get a pic of the fries, but they were fresh cut in-house and came out hot and crispy. We were very happy with our experience!
For the quantity, quantity, and price the vale is very good. Ordered the giro and chicken plate with an ice tea. The plate came with full Greek salad with all the extras. On the main dish portions it came with a healthy amount of sliced giro and chicken on a stick. Both were very tasty and I very much enjoyed eating both with pita bread and Tzatziki. The place inside does show its age but was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful in deciding what to order.
Love Love Love Demos. Oh, how I wish they catered. Great service, amazing food, and a bunch of options for all ages. Free refills, clean facility, authentic Mediterranean sweets, and apparel available too. Plenty of parking and never too crowded. I’m pretty sure they cook on a real open flame. The food is really fresh. I recommend the chicken. Kids love the food too. During Covid, they took safety measures very seriously. They made logical and accommodating changes to service and made sure to maintain good standards. The service did not struggle at any point during the pandemic and the food quality was as delicious as always. The staff was still really wonderful and they even extended the hours of operation. We are regulars here by now. I highly recommend this place. I would go so far as to say they are in the running for one of San Antonio’s best local businesses.
Overall coming to Demo's Greek Food for the first time I am quite happy with the way they are doing it. If I'm entering the building I saw that on the back wall there was a menu with different types of choices. My wife and I chose a pita with hummus as our appetizer and sweet tea and lemonade as our drinks. I've never had hummus before but I'm not going to lie I think it was pretty good me and my wife both ate it and thought it was good but not entirely for us. For a main entrees we ordered two gyros deluxe which came with lettuce tomatoes feta cheese and black olives lamb meat beef. I also came with the side of fries which were fresh and made to the day that we came in. Everything was extremely hot and fresh people did not rush to get our food out but did not also take their time they did it in an orderly fashion and I definitely recommend this place if you haven't tried it. The decor inside is quite nice and goes with the Greek vibes.
My wife and I gave this one a try tonight while the kids stayed home, and I must say....this is my FAVORITE restaurant I've been to in 2021!! What was there not to love? The decor was outstanding, with lovely murals throughout the store. The service was spectacular, and the food was the best Greek cuisine I've had outside of Europe(!!) In addition, the prices were reasonable AND they even gave us a military discount. What else can I ask for? If I must think of a negative, it was in getting out of the parking lot. Turning left onto Blanco Rd proved a nightmare, and I wish it was closer to home.
Service was excellent--fast and friendly. The sandwich, however wasn't the best. Gyro meat was hard and dry. It cost extra to get what I consider to be table stakes ingredients like black olives and feta. 2 gyro doubles, 2 fries (not "Greek"--just regular), and two sodas were $40.00. We got more for less at other Greek sandwich shops.
First time here, it's an OK place. Lots of workers in front, no greeting. It's like subways, but Mediterranean. (Harsh, I know) Experience was barely a 'C' grade. We walked in and no one bothered to assist. Not good for business. Restrooms were uncleaned, tables were un cleaned (hard to fine a clean table). Parking was OK. Free refiles, and the food was OK. Never seen black fries (clean out the grease). High price for ok food. Overall Experience ok.
We come for the great food BUT… we were very disappointed in the atmosphere worker just standing and talking while the dining area is filled with dirty tables 9 to be exact. It’s sad because we like this place but we don’t like eating in a dirty restaurant. Pictures taken!! No excuses for this other than lazy worker we probably won’t be back to this location
My husband and I went here before and we were able to be waited on and then they took our order. We went today before 4pm and had to order at the register pay and then be sitted at the table. My husband and I observed a group of white men come at 420 and be seated by the waiter and then order the food. I will not spend my hard earned money here again.
