Mi Sierra Jalisco San Antonio Reviews
Quiet morning at atmosphere for breakfast great tacos. The flour tortillas are one of my favorite and the tacos are fresh and the eggs have been cooked. Perfect on my bacon, egg and potato tacos and the Horchata is very very good. The large is in a very large cup I am extremely happy with their new restaurant. I found it’s a oldie but goodie I’ve never been here before, but it’s been around. I’ve always passed it up. This is it. I stopped here almost every morning now to grab tacos.
I’ve been coming here ever since I moved to Texas 20 years ago—my grandma introduced me to this restaurant, and it’s been a special place to me ever since. Now it’s where I bring everyone I care about to experience one of my favorite spots. The ladies who work here are incredibly kind, and the service is always excellent, even when the restaurant is packed. As far as the meals and tacos go, you can’t go wrong—roll the dice and whatever you order will be delicious. My only hard advice is to get corn tortillas over flour. They’re better tasting and better for you imo. Thank you Mi Sierra!
My goodness everything was so delicious.😋🤤 I would recommend trying the Lengua. It was not dried at all. Rice, Beans, Guacamole salsa & Red salsa was out of this world. Nice & hot 🥵 like it should be. 😁
I eat there 3 to 5 times a week. The breakfast tacos are excellent, big, and both the flour and corn tortillas, but particularly the flour, are as good as I have found and both are made in-house, and the Avocado Salsa is addictive! The lunch specials are very good, but, as with prices every where, have recently increased.
Thursdays are for enchiladas. Try the mole ones😍call ahead for bean & cheese nachos after work & drive thru. The carne guisada on Taco Tuesdays😋 servers are friendly- prices are reasonable.
They make really good tacos The very fresh you're hot and larger than most other places and the ladies that take the order very nice
First, I’d would like to respond to the previous review. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the neighborhood! It’s a working class neighborhood with local businesses. The huevos rancheros were great. The sauce was delicious and the eggs cooked to perfection. My only complaint was that the chips were over cooked in old grease. That said, the salsa was warm and unique. I’ll be back to try other items.
The tacos were dreadful. Tasted like store bought package tortillas.and the beans tasted like canned rosarita refried beans. Felt sick to my stomach the next day.The only reason why I'm giving this even three stars is the beautiful dark haired girl that works there.
Had a beef fajita taco and a bean and cheese taco. Not sure what type of meat was in the fajita taco it wasn't beef skirt. Everything else was good.
Food has changed since the last time I was here a year ago. I brought a friend for the first time and was kinda embarrassed. The cheese inside the enchiladas was not melted and cold. The rest of the food was just a little bland, even after salt was added.
A friend of mine referred me to this place so I thought I'd give it a try. Okay so it does have tasty food, however it's not in a very good neighborhood and the place could use a serious makeover. But the biggest reason I gave this place only 3 stars was because nobody could speak English. And as you know from reading any of my previous reviews, I am a strong believer in having at least one person per establishment in the US that can speak English at least a little bit. Look folks, I'm not being racist, it's just that if I worked in another country it would be the same thing but in reverse. They would expect me to speak whatever language they speak or at least be able to halfway communicate. I had a couple of questions about some of their menu items and they could barely get them answered. It was very frustrating!
They have a special here 3 tacos for 3.99...bean and chorizo, bean and bacon or bran and cheese is the only selection for this special. The drive thru line went about 7 mins per car. You can dine in or drive thru. Our tacos were just tacos nothing special...the bean n cheese taco special didn't seem to have homemade tortillas so these tacos get a 3 out of five stars. You can tell that store bought tortilla from a nice fluffy or crispy tortilla with that flour dust covering it....this lacked a real tortilla....not sure if I would return cause we were just passing through the area....
We went for breakfast today and the food was just okay to be honest. My potato and bacon taco was more like mashed potatoes with cut up pieces of meat, it tasted good but the texture was not great I ate half of it. The chicken fajitas with cheese taco was delicious and would order again. The carne guisada was good not amazing or anything and the bean and cheese were also just okay. The salsa was inedible like rancid. Tortillas tasted store bought as well. Probably will not go back
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. First the positives: The place has ample parking so that's good. The food was good, and so were the portions. The tortillas were not very good, they tasted store-bought so I only ate one. The downside: the a/c was not working! The waitress did not mention it but in SA, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. The waitresses were not very communicative, and hardly ever came around to see if we needed basic things like refills, and giving us our check so we could leave. It felt like we spent most of our visit waiting on the staff to remember we were there! I don't plan on returning again but as I said, the food was not bad so maybe your experience will be better than mine. My friend ordered breakfast and I snapped a pic of it so you could see the generous portions.
Someone ate here and this there experience. Just sharing it for them. "BEWARE!!!! Roaches in the food at Mi Sierra Jalisco Mexican On Babcock and W Glenview. I took the plate to the cook and was just asked if I wanted another taco without an apology at the least from anyone but took my money with no problem"
