The Angry Elephant San Antonio Reviews
Me and my partner love coming to this place. The atmosphere is great. The bartenders are amazing and manager Mike takes care of the customers. With the recently installed skill machines, he purchased custom chairs for the regulars that come and play. Thank you for allowing a safe environment for people to have a good time. The customer appreciation crawfish broil was a big hit. If you're wanting some mini corn dogs or some amazing wings, you should definitely check this place out.
We have been coming to the Angry Elephant and Roo Pub for the last 8 years, The past 3 years the Angry Elephant became headquarters to the Alamo City Bolts "LA Chargers" Thanks to Chip who has always treated us like family and Mike Tejeda who made sure we were taken care of during the games, We can't say enough for the staff they have assembled other then excellent and family. The FOOD is great we favor the snacks like Nacho Fries and the wings. We've tasted almost everything on their menu and never disappointed. The Atmosphere is beyond reproach, Easy going, kids are allowed I believe up to 9pm, Dart Boards, Pool Tables and Trivia games, make it a point to visit you won't be disappointed
Decided to head out to the Angry Elephant for the Longhorns game! I had seen the hot dogs here on Elder Eats and decided to give them a try, and unfortunately they were a huge disappointment. Both my Uncle and I both agreed that the strange choice of bun was bland & dry and the chilli had very little flavor. We both removed the bacon because it tasted undercooked. On the upside the Wings were very tasty along with the mini corn dogs. The best part was the huge side salad that I sadly did not get a picture of. Salads here are highly recommended in my opinion. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. I'll return again for the burgers next time around. All in all I had a great time nevertheless.
This is a great little bar in a strip mall that does have good food. We like the pool table and it's also good for little events and get-togethers. The drinks are reasonably priced and the menu is typical bar food. There are a lot of TVs and we're kind of on the newer side. I can definitely see this being a fun spot for a Sunday funday
Fun conservative themed bar with historical decor, great food, a fun politically themed menu, and reasonably priced drinks. Only comment would be maybe add an additional pool table if possible and perhaps play some other music besides hip hop. Overall great bar/restaurant and will for sure come back.
It's basically an over priced dive bar they can only make a couple mixed drinks that aren't on the menu. The prices are higher than a regular bar but cleaner bathrooms. Service at the table is slow and you have to tell your order to the bar because there isn't a good place to place your order so you do it over the shoulder on the person sitting there.
I was the only brown person there and it was awkward. We got the fudge out of there to go to a less stuffier, whiter, Karen bar.
I invited my son for the first time and was embarrassed! The place was dirty (tables and floor) and it was not even busy, it was before 4pm. It seems that people don't care anymore+
Standard local pub serving fare with catchy names based on political figures. Many dishes have been updated from the standard.
I don't know how I have not heard of this place!!!!! Do they have a mayor? I want to run for office. 😂🤣 This was our first time here. We got there about 6pm. They were closing from 7pm to 9pm for what we found out to be for a wake for a good friend of "The Bar". 🙏 Understandable 💯 We had an hour to have a beer and grab some food. The staff was "preoccupied " perhaps do to the wake that evening and passing of their friend. Again 💯 Understandable. My wife and I received our beers....but not the waters we asked for. 30 minutes later the bartender comes back and we advised, we'll catch 'em next time and try the food. With 30 minutes left to order, have cooked, and eat....it was just too rushed. Condolences to your loss. I paid for the beers and a Beto t-shirt "FAKE MEXICAN REAL PENDEJO" 😂🤣😂🤣🤣 LOVE IT We'll be back and update the review
We called ahead because we were from out of town and looking for food & drinks but thought the kitchen might be closed. The lady on the phone assured us that the kitchen is supposed to stay open until 2am and as it was only 12:30 we had plenty of time. When we got there ten minutes later the guy arrived the door said he didn't know why the lady on the phone told us the kit hen was still open as it's their decision to close it at midnight. We had some drinks at the bar because the bartender was amazing and we had no choice but to make the best of a bad situation. Unfortunately we then went to Dennys and were thoroughly underwhelmed.
Horrible experience. NEVER have I had to go though this at ANY other bar. SEVERELY understaffed, was not prepared or a crowd at ALL. Waited 20 plus minutes for service at the bar, the girl is the blue set was completely AVOIDING me so much so that other people around were pointing it out. Also, what is the point of a line and bouncers EVERYWHERE if people are just going to jump the gate. Not only that- my group and I waited OVER AN HOUR in line with people cutting, bouncers couldn’t care less. They were letting people pay them off to get in and cut the line. Do not go here if you’re wanting a good bar experience and have a good time with friends.
