Trailblazer Café San Antonio Reviews
We found this breakfast spot by complete surprise and it ended up being such a gem! The food was so much better than we expected -everything was fresh and delicious. The portions were also very generous, we even had leftovers to take home! We loved the view of the planes taking off while we ate, it made the whole experience really fun. The staff was amazing and very welcoming, especially with our little baby. They were so kind and attentive, which made us feel really comfortable. Overall, we had a great time and were so happy we stopped here. Definitely recommend this place! ✈️🥞 One thing to note for parents: there was no baby changing table in the restroom, which made things a little tricky. It would be great if they could add one in the future.
This is a nice restaurant in Stinson field airport. We tried to go to a different event and passed by. Decided to give this one a chance. It is a solid place to eat with friendly service and good eating. If you are out this way this is a good spot.
I had lunch and listened to Jazz music. The food was delish, and the 🎵🎶 was awesome!! Def recommend following their page for all events. I had the Whiskey chicken sandwich, and fries. I also had a strawberry lemonade. It was fresh squeezed, and had chunks of strawberry. Very refreshing. Check them out, u won't b disappointed. It's at the Stinson airport on Mission Road. They give helicopter rides for $25 at the airport. U can see the runway from inside the restaurant
We had a great time here and Rebecca did a wonderful job with the drinks! We got to see lots of students doing pattern work and ate some great burgers!
Impromptu breakfast here was an amazing experience. Lizzie gave me a warm welcome and helped me navigate an expansive menu of breakfast and coffee items. She brought my breakfast sandwich and latte as I sat in the outdoor patio near the flight line…it was so neat to see all of the aircraft! They’re open for breakfast, lunch, & dinner and have options for well drinks & decadent desserts. The prices are very reasonable for such good food, service, & ambiance…highly recommend!
This is the place you need to try when you want some place quiet, peaceful and just down right relaxing. The Longhorn burger was good. Those shoestring fries were delish. The large windows and air traffic made it impossible to leave. We Will definitely Return in the Future.
I love the weekend music. It's a small spot, not fancy at all, but it's great to catch awesome live music, and to grab a bite. They also have a full bar. And you can't beat the scenery outside.
Trailblazer cafe is a great little cafe! We didn’t eat but their food looked amazing! We just had a couple of their lattes while we were waiting on fuel for our plane. Liz was so friendly and her latte making skills far exceed the other big name coffee houses. We will definitely stop here every time we are in town. Would be a fun place to bring the family or on a date. Huge windows to watch the busy field.
Delicious food and good atmosphere. Great place to watch the aeroplanes come and go. Friendly staff, too.
This place is wonderful. Amazing views while you eat. Service is quick but it can get packed at times. But the turkey pesto sandwhich is delicious. Their baked goods look amazing so I'll be sure to try them later.
Stopped in today after reading about this cool little place a couple of weeks ago. We were not disappointed! The place itself is so cool, with excellent views of the runway, as it is inside Stinson airport. Really relaxed and casual decor. The food is excellent and tasty with huge portions. Such a varied menu. The staff was friendly, and helpful. There is plenty of parking and will not be a problem. Can't wait to get back. Really excited that this little gem is on the south side. Update: Although my previous review stands, we tried to visit last week and there was a sign taped to the door that they would be closed at 4:30pm for a "private party". It may be worth calling ahead to verify they will be opened to the public, especially if you are driving across town to give them a try.
Awesome food with a great view to watch the aircraft. It's nice and cool inside. Lizzy is awesome and will make sure you have a pleasant meal.
Great food Good prices Watch the planes at Stinson Airport Inside the airport terminal Inside and outside seating
12 of us + our trusty dog 🐕 enjoyed the sunny day under the shaded patio, watching the planes and helicopters. With food allergies, the manager patiently answered all my questions about the menu and ingredients. When they say homemade, they mean it. From the fresh, hot tortilla chips and salsa to the spinach dip, the hand-battered fried pickles, we almost filled up on appetizers. The Salads all featured made from scratch house dressings, and even the croutons were fresh. Generous portions, thick, juicy burgers. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the whiskey barbecue burger. The spaghetti sauce has a tangy flavor that the kids were not fond of, but the adults really liked. If your kids are picky eaters, you may want to stick to chicken fingers and fries. Great for a family gathering.

Lizzy was amazing! It was my first time and she was able to make it memorable. I will be coming back soon with friends and try the plane ride. I want to try the burgers next I was told they are super good!

Absolutely lovely place. Inside & outside seating available. Food, drinks, lattes. Burgers are DELICIOUS!! We watch Alamo Helicopter leaving & returning. Everyone inside the building as well as pilots walking around were so polite, very relaxing environment. 100% recommend this cute cafe.
We got there at 7:00AM on a Sunday AM hiking from the River Walk through the Stinson Airport loop. Coffee was top notch, equivalent in my taste to specialty coffee stores. We had a Turkey pesto hash and a Corned beef hash, both inventive with half inch potato cubes and sliced meats, covered with over-easy, nicely runny-yolked eggs and a delicious cheese sauce. See cut thru pic of the turkey hash. Add to that a great view of the planes, the runways and sunrise lighting up the control tower, a great way to start the day.
Watching planes take off and landing while sipping your coffee and enjoy breakfast is priceless Thanks for opening this location so we can experience the dining with the view. Food was okay, cinnamon rolls was too sweet for me, but it you have it with lattee without sugar. It just a perfect blend. All crews were friendly and very helpfull.
We brought our toddler here for breakfast and had so much fun! Our pancakes and eggs were great, and everyone working there was so kind. Our toddler said "it was so fun in the airport!" The coffee was amazing too! This is a fun place to bring your family.
This was such a cool place to visit, you can see the planes coming in and out. The food was fairly priced, and it was actually really good. The best thing was the service, our server was amazing, great conversation, amazing customer service, even other staff that didn’t even need to come to our table. Still came to say hi and asked if everything was OK, some made some conversation as well. Everything about this place was great, but just because of the customer service, we would be back any day.

The drinks and food hit the spot. Overall it's a great little spot to have a nice time with or without a group
We just happened upon this place by accident when we were in the area. When you walk in, there is a wall of windows giving you a view to the flight line. You can watch planes arriving and taking off. There was live music and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. And the food was excellent. We tried their chicken club, the bacon and cheddar Q burger (?? Not sure if that was the actual name), and their apple coffee cake. All around an amazing experience. We'll be back.

I have visited a couple times with family and decided to go here on my own. Atmosphere is beautiful, you get to see planes and helicopters take off... sometimes flying in the sky. The service is good and it can be a quiet place to study! The food is absolutely delicious, I got a bacon cheddar burger and oh man!!
Atmosphere was great. Went on a first Friday night and there was live music. My son got the mahi tacos which he ate right away and said they were delicious! My husband had the cheesteak sandwich which he asked for no mustard but mustard was still on it. My daughter had the sparrow sandwich. And I had the ultimate porkchop with truffle fries. My porkchop was very cold! And I like my food pippin hot! So that was not enjoyable unfortunately. My fries were fine. We also shared the fried mushrooms for an appetizer which were nice and hot. We also had 2 happy hour drinks and 2 drinks of the day. My kids had drinks from the fountain drink machine which were BOTH flat. I’m happy I found this place even though the food was a bit of a let down in some areas. We will still give it another try!
We tried Trailblazer Cafe for lunch. I got the fried green tomato BLT and strawberry lemonade, and my son got nuggets and sweet tea (freshly brewed). My sandwich was really good, crispy bacon, fresh ingredients, and flavorful. It was a tad too greasy, but I still enjoyed it. The chicken nuggets were cooked perfectly, and the breading had a nice crunch. The honey mustard was delicious, and the fries were also a hit. It was a chill spot, and it's fun to watch the planes.
I really wanted to love this place, I believe it can improve, but this trip was not the best. The atmosphere was really cool and seeing the planes and helicopters taking off and landing was really entertaining. I liked the outdoor seating and the weather was great, sunny yet adequate shade to keep it cool. The service was lacking, we had to repeat our order a few times and it took around an hour to get our food. The food itself was ok, but the breakfast bowl was almost too salty to eat. I don’t think the prices reflected what you get. They did give us some cookies for the wait so that was nice.
