My favorite place for happy hour, and a great time. Been going here since the 90s! The parking lot is pretty big but Friday nights can fill up . The cantina is the spot for a refreshing drink and not gonna break the bank! Great drink n appetizer specials, music for evenings with buddies. They have the coolest bartenders lol! Today I enjoyed a Buffet from El Torito. I hadn't been here in over 20 years. The Weekday Buffet has less choices then the Sunday Buffet but what was available was delicious! The service was great. Maneuvering and finding outside dining during the pandemic has been difficult in San Bernardino. El Torito had the most comfortable, shaded, misters, outside dining experience I've found so far.

Meet was on point soft and juice, They have strawberry lemonade refills, Chilakiles sause was great and overall large portions!

First time eating El Torito, and it certainly won’t be the last! This is without a doubt some of the best Mexican Food I have every eaten! I began by ordering the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer, and BOY were they good..then I ordered the Steak STREET TACOS..let me tell you, they knocked these tacos out of the park! So much flavor, you can just taste the love in every single bite. If you are in the San Bern, CA area..you have GOT to check this place out.

***Saturday night, great music, great food, cold drinks, and watching the Dodgers crush it! What more do you need?*** Still one of my favorite locations. Great staff! Nachos are good for 2 to 3 people to share. The bacon wrapped shrimp are good (better than other places because of the chilies that give it a little kick) but if you like them as much as I do, you won't want to share. All types of music played on Fridays and Saturdays in the cantina. Really popular location for large groups and special occasions.

Service was good and quick. I had the carne asada w/ Cheese enchilada. The skirt steak was soft and tender, very delicious. I would recommend this, but other things on the menu looks pretty good too.

Yesenia is a fantastic waitress very patient. We had two large parties this year here and food and service was wonderful.

Want here by myself for a late dinner on a weeknight and was surprised to see the place was nearly empty. I was offered the opportunity to eat in the bar or the restaurant, and I chose the restaurant. The server was gracious and very attentive, and I had an amazing dinner. I’ve been to this restaurant twice since the pandemic restrictions have lifted, and both times it has surprised me with a creative menu, great, cocktails, and great service. I look forward to getting back to trying something new!

Everything about this place was awesome for my experience. Friendly staff with a clean environment and the Food....I will return for sure. Now That is what I am talking about where it comes to a great dipping salsa. Juicy with abundance of ingredients to weigh on your chip for each bite. The platter I ordered gave me two meals easily and the flavors of each part were extraordinarily delicious. I was bursting at the seams but the Fried Ice Cream called my name. Hands down the greatest and largest serving I have ever encountered. Thank you Staff of El Torito for making my day great. You will see me again if I am ever in the area.

First timer for Lunch Buffet and Dang I was surprised to enjoy the good food offered as if Momma was cooking it. Overall, welll worth the experience except feeling guilty to escape for lunch without the family. Damian at the bar took well care of the drinks and good music to perfect the environment. You must try it at least once!

El Torito is my favorite place to enjoy authentic Mexican food. The servers are friendly and food tastes great. I really enjoy the “Pick 2 or 3” options where you have the choice of mixing different food items like taco, enchilada, tamale, or flauta. AAA Club members get 10% discount too!!

We have always enjoyed this location for Sunday brunch. They are now open for Saturday Breakfast at 8am with a menu and $12 Bottomless Bloodys/Mimosas. It is quieter than Sunday and very enjoyable. They have long term staff and the patio offers a nice atmosphere. I don't generally give chain restaurants 5 stars, but there is something I really enjoy about this place and return pretty often.

The guacamole and Cesar salad were great! The tortilla chips were warm and tasted fresh. Customer service was also good. Thank you!

El Torito's Sunday's buffet is fabulous. Since I found out about it about a year ago, I come often. When my kids visit, I bring them also. They have an aray of Mexican food and deserts. Their endless mimosas are great and kept full. They have a separate egg bar for fresh stuffed omelets. Thus Sunday's buffet is highly recommended. Nothing has changed here. Well, their back to letting you serve yourself. That's about it. Business is Business at El Toritos. Update: nothing has changed on my last visit. Food is still excellent. Service is still at the top of its game. Atmosphere, at least this time was quite loud. More so than previous visits. ⁰

Met a buddy for lunch at this location. Food was served pretty quickly. It was hot and very very good. Chips and salsa were off the chart good. Drinks were refilled constantly. Our server Yesenia was one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere and I eat out a lot. She was really just the greatest. Definitely going back to this location. I recommend becoming a part of their rewards program and you can get points towards free food or drinks. Very very good experience!

Arrived a little after 1pm and immediately joined my family to celebrate my mother's birthday, El Torito offers an all you can eat buffet of various Mexican dishes between 11am to 2pm every other 1st Tuesday of the month. The food was delicious and spicy which is not really my preference for food. I ate everything on my 2 plates and left with heartburn and a full stomach.

We walked right in on a Friday afternoon with a party of 8. The staff was friendly and professional and the drinks and food was very good. We had the all you can eat buffet, and the variety of food was vast and very yummy. We all enjoy it very much

Would like to say thank you to the service staff who worked Christmas Day for breakfast brunch ! I had made a reservation and unfortunately I timed our Christmas morning gift opening wrong and was going to be about 20 minutes late. We called to let them know, and were told no problem. The front staff upon arrival was warm and friendly. It's much appreciated considering it was Christmas morning and no one wants to work let's be honest! We were seated right away and the service was impeccable. A manager came by and offered warm welcomes and made sure everything was going okay a few minutes after we were seated. This kind of service doesn't come often and it's always appreciated when I come across it. The food was great as usual for the buffet. A ton of options, including a prime rib and ham carving station, made to order omelets, and freshly made corn tortillas with a selection of meats for tacos. Praise needs to be given to the employee with the mustache who was working the carving station and making fresh tortillas at the same time. He was hustling and working his butt off going back and forth but was always very friendly and never overwhelmed. I had to tip him for his great service. Much praise goes to him and everyone else who made today great for my family. Our waiter was amazing too. He kept the drinks flowing and made sure everything we needed was brought to us. Seriously, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made our Christmas morning worthwhile. I don't want my appreciation to go unnoticed so please, give these guys raises! I've never had a bad experience here and coming from a long time Rancho Cucamonga El Torito customer( RIP), this location has always had incredible service, fantastic food, and great drinks. Merry Christmas to the staff there and thank you again for making our morning memorable.

I went on the Sunday brunch and everything was excellent they had so many different options from an omelette bar to a taco station and everything in between, they even had chicken tenders and fries for the kiddos which I appreciate. My service was all around great but I'd personally like to thank my server Noemi, she was extremely nice, attentive and polite, I never even had to ask for a refill, she made my experience very positive! I'm glad I chose El torito for my birthday breakfast, my service my excellent and the food was delicious! Definitely coming back and recommending my friends n family! Don't hesitate, go now! ❤️

Great food! You get served your standard chips and salsa when you get seated, salsa is good just not super spicy but you can ask for hotter salsa and the hotter salsa has a reasonable kick to it. Ordered a drink, the black diamond margarita. They give you a martini glass with black salt on the rim and a shaker of the extra drink left over, basically like having 4 mini martini’s. Very good. For my main meal I got the birria tacos and they tasted great, one key piece of feedback is this tacos can get soggy quick so it’s best to eat them first. Could be remedied if the tacos were stood up properly with some paper to separate them so they retain their crispness. Rice was served with it and the Mexican rice was delicious as well. Service was great, staff seemed happy to be there and were very attentive. Overall will gladly return to el torito again. Stand out food place for the area for sure.

Great place to eat. we ordered the avocado dip that they personally make in front of you. The server was amazing and so nice, the best service I've received, very fast in getting our orders and serving. The food was good the only thing I personally did not like was the rice it was a bit hard and needed flavor. We had ordered the chamango margarita as well and must say it was very good as well. We will be returning again.

Great food, friendly service! 02-24-24 I ate lunch at El Torito today. The people are friendly and helpful as usual. However, El Torito seems to be skimping on the food a bit. My "Churro Pancakes with Strawberries and Blueberries" had three blueberries and two slices of strawberry. There was about one fluid ounce of syrup included. And about one tablespoon of honey butter. My wife got the chicken salad and it was mostly lettuce. She said there were a lot more non-lettuce items in it the last time she was here.

The food is good and the serving size is enough to make you full or maybe have some leftovers to take home. The people who take your order are so chill and easy to talk too. But it cost quite bit. So I recommend looking at the online menu or calling them to see if it fits your price range. (Tip: I recommend if you plan to get a dessert order it once you get your food so once you are done eating you don't have to wait for the dessert)

El Torito is a go to favorite for my family and I when we’re in the mood for Mexican food. I definitely start with the table side guacamole and I have it ALL to myself! In a effort to stick with my vegan diet I choose either spinach enchiladas or veggie fajitas. (Special request to ensure it arrives free of animal products) I was pleasantly surprised to find Heineken Zero on the menu. It’s a non alcoholic beer however it tastes just like the real thing. It was nice and cold and complimented my meal very well. I have a small complaint about this particular location. The restroom smells awful! It smells as if the sewer is leaking somewhere in there. This is on every visit for the last three plus years. It would be nice to use the restroom without having to hold my breath.

We went the day after Thanksgiving early afternoon and the restaurant was pretty slow. They seemed to only have one waiter working. Once seated, we received exceptional customer service. Our waiter was working really hard, efficiently, and was on top of just about everything. Food was good, table-side guacamole was excellent, food came out quickly. Everything seemed fresh. My only complaint was the drink service.No pitchers, they give you a new cup and a new straw every time you get a drink refill. With four people, we ended up with eight straws at the end of our meal. Straws end up in the ocean and are killing sea turtles for all sorts of horrible reasons. Look it up. Shame on you, El Torrito for serving drinks this way. I didn't need the straw to begin, and can easily transfer it to my other cup. Change that, and everything else was good there.

I was coming in for lunch, happy hour. I only had a little bit of time so I had to eat fast. I stopped a server/manager it seemed not sure, while sitting at the bar. The bartender was busy, and I was sitting there for a minute or two before I seen Alexis, that's her name. Alexis was amazing! Super nice, super friendly and super helpful. She cleared the table and wiped it down so I can sit at the booth and took my order right away. Alexis had me in and out of there within 20 minutes. If she was my server every time I came here I would come here twice as often. Alexis helped me once before and I'm just now remembering because it was a long time ago. I've been coming to this place for ever it seems, at least since I was 10 years old. Alexis help me in the same way except with a booth in the dining area. I think she was a front hostess at that time. But did the same thing. Gave me the same great customer service took me right in and took my order because they were busy and picked up the slack. I don't think she remembers me tho. But I remember you Alexis. Can't forget a face like that with the work ethic two back it. Thank you Alexis for making my service great forbthe second time. I hope to see you on my next visit.

Have never been to this location but gave it a try. The service was friendly and very helpful and also very quick to get you're order in and out to you. We started off with the quest dip which is a blend of 2 cheeses served with chips piping hot, the deep is delicious and savory price was around $9, but if you sit in the bar it's only $4 during happy hour which I couldn't do as I had my daughter with me. I had the fajita combo which was delicious, and my wife had the carne asada and shrimp which was also very good and accompanied by fresh tortillas. All and all a good experience the only thing I would've of liked to see differently is the happy hour prices offered outside of the bar, which it doesn't clearly state so you may order something and pay a lot more than you thought. Come on el torito you can resolve this and make it a better experience. Will I return probly so but I won't be ordering off the happy hour menu again as I do have a young child.

First time coming here: went around 7pm on a Saturday, wait time was less than 5 minutes. I like that they give out complimentary chips and delicious salsa while you wait for your food. I ordered the Moscow Mule drink and it was good but I would probably order something different next time. The food was very tasty and the beans have a special taste that I was able to eat by itself and I'm not a big fan of beans so that was a shocker. The waiter was very kind and attentive. I would be back but probably not any time soon as a lot of the stuff on the menu I already cook at home but of course this place has its own unique taste. I will recommend if you are craving Mexican food and in my case don't feel like cooking.

Great outdoor dining. They had a DJ at night. They are open late and food is good. Try the shrimp and steak fajitas. Gives enough for two people. For dessert try the fried ice cream its dessert perfection. Social distancing and precautions were in place. Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that it was cold. They did not have heaters nearby. So take a good jacket.

I like this place's food quite a bit, but it is definitely not the place to go on a Friday night if you just want food and drinks. We got there at about 8:30 and there was still a half hour wait for a regular table. So we sat in the bar area which was more of a Mexican club. If you are looking for a hoping bar where you can dance to Mexican music with good food then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, that is not what we were looking for and they were way under staffed. Despite all that I'll be back again.

The food was pretty good and they give you pretty large portions. I thought the Effin mule was delicious. I had the Fiesta platter and shared with my wife. We also shared the tortilla soup. I didn't see enchiladas de mole. My wife had tacos el pastor. The decor was nice. The lack of mole enchiladas and the beans were okay is mostly why I'm giving them a 4. We would probably try the place again and get something different next time though.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan of El Torito, but I was slightly impressed my last visit. I went to celebrate my Uncle's Birthday with a significant sized group, and our server rose to the occasion and provided excellent service. The ordered Sizzling Chicken Enchiladas, and was expecting the worst. But I must say they were packed with full of flavor and delicious. I highly recommend them if you visit El Torito.

The Wifey and I stopped here on our way home last SAT night. Her chicken caesar salad with the legendary Cilantro Pepita dressing was exactly that (legendary). However, my so-called "Macho Combo," arrived lukewarm and three of the four items were gross. The sole winner was the Crispy Machaca Beef Taco, which featured crunchy threads of sinewy beef. Bizarrely, they served my Chicken Flauta drenched in yucky Southwestern Ranch (gag!) then compounded this culinary faux pax by serving it alongside a ramekin of warmed honey! Easily one of the nastiest flavor pairings ever. Only watching my bride's happiness as she enjoyed her meal salvaged the meal, for me.

Take away one star for an 8 min wait at the table. Food arrived and was delicious BUT I will take another star due to the steak and shrimp cold , rice warm , dish , beans and tortilla hot . Place was clean , great music and really overall good . Will come back . Could have been a 5 star .

It appears that my personal preferences and experiences with traditional Mexican cuisine may have influenced my perception of the food at this establishment. While I am generally not a picky eater, I found the shrimp fajitas and shrimp salad to be underwhelming. It seemed as though the focus was on quantity rather than quality. The service was commendable, although the staff appeared to be primarily occupied with the buffet area. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I appreciated the less crowded bar area. If I were to return, it would likely be for the happy hour rather than the food itself.

Lunch buffet for adult is $16.5,I thought too few types.Soup is very good. Adds Surcharge 4% . On 09/05/2025, I came here again for the new Saturday buffet, $24 per adult and $10 per child, including soft drinks. I think I prefer the Golden Corral weekend buffet because it’s cheaper and has more variety. On 12/18/2025 The lunch buffet price is increasing, now is $19.5 and the server was very unprofessional and did not know how to use the discount coupon .

Just my opinion, but the food just isn't good. The service was rushed, and the ambiance was ok.

Its not as good as it used to be. Their manager left and the other was let go. Since then its gone downhill. Brunch food is either empty or run out. Wait staff is still excellent except for one of the Host in the afternoon. Bring the amazing management back before this restaurant ends up with no customers. -long time customers

I had a bad experience here for the first time. I came in at 7 for some carnitas and they told me they ran out, which is fine, so I asked the waiter to replace the carnitas with asada. When the food came all I got was a plate with asada on it, no beans or rice. Had to wait a while to catch her attention on this and then she took my dates water and did not return with it. Due to her mistake she said she would not charge me for the sides on the bill. A few other minor things, but then the bill came and I got charged for the carnitas plate and an asada plate. After she fixed it I noticed I was still charged for sides even though she said I wouldn't. By this time I was so tired of bringing stuff back to her I just paid it. Kinda frustrating and even though it wasn't my fault it was a bad look especially on a first date. Won't come back unless it's for lunch.

I wish I didn't have to write a bad experience but I absolutely did not like the food. The steak was the worst I've ever had. The shrimp and rice were the best of the entire meal. The waiter was nice and attentive. But the food was terrible. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return to eat again

Food don't taste the same as before and the service is horrible in all the Toritos restaurants, looks like they don't care about customers.

This review it is for the manager. We went today for happy hr and the service was less than desirable. Our server Yoseline and bartender were doing the best they could regardless of how busy the bar area was. There was only server (Yoseline) and one bartender.. the place was pretty packed and had at least two parties of at least 10 people each besides the other tables. I can't emphasize enough how hard our server was trying to take drink and food orders, Get food out to the patrons and always with a smile. After waiting over 30 minutes for for drinks and food, our server apologized. I asked to speak to the manager and reassured her that I didn't want to complain about her at all. The manager came to our table and he immediately had a condensing attitude. He was under the impression that I wanted to complain about our server, but I immediately let him know that the complain was about him. Yoseline had asked him to send someone to help her and he completely ignored her request. I told him that it was ridiculous that he only had one bartender and one server working when it was clear that the bar section was the busiest. He said that he was sorry for the "misunderstanding " and I corrected him, because there was no misunderstanding, this was 100% his fault for not providing support to his spot... to which he respond by trying to throw our server under the bus by saying that "she requested help too late" ( what a way to have his staff's back) He asked me what could he do for us and I told him to send someone to help the server..... we got there at 5pm and left at 6:30 and he never sent a single soul to help, he didn't even step up and tried to help her either.

Decided to eat here on fathers day. It's been a long time not coming to el torito and it was a big deception. The place had 4 to 5 couples eating. No one hosting 1 person serving and taking orders. It took them 15 to 20 minutes to sit us down. Another 20 minutes to get our drinks, and like 20 minutes to order our food. The server seemed overwhelmed. We got our food 30 minutes later. I requested the tequila flame plate and the server saod that they had ran out of tequila so no flame 👎🏽. Also the tortillas was cold and not cooked. Tortillas would break. I told her to heat the tortillas and brought me similar tortillas. I did not eat the tortillas they were nasty cold and dry. My plate had only small pieces of meat, chicken, and shrimp. 4 each. On menu it shows a lot more and big pieces. The whole experience was a big deception. It will be the last time I go there. El Torito is not what it use to be. Smh

Wanted to get a reservation for 25 people and I had good recommendations from this place. Came in with the lady upfront and asked to get a reservation she looked in her system and said that she could do it because it was a busy day, completely understandable but very rude the way she delivered the information, she acted like i was asking for too much. Her attitude and arrogance made us look for business somewhere else. My recommendation to the owner get better employees to treat people the right way because not even the manager stepped in she was next to her listening to this lady be rude to us. Maybe the food is good but the service is horrible I'll spend my money somewhere else. I went to Kalacas and they accommodated me right away and gave better service. Everyone had a smile on their face and service was amazing. Next time we travel back to LA we will for sure come back there.

Ordered enchiladas and one beer at the bar on Saturday night. You will get massive plate with very small portions of food. I had way better experience in other Mexican restaurants not pennypinching on the food enchiladas are in my opinion way below the average. As far as bottled beer costing $8.50 is outrageous. MoneyGrabber restaurant, will not return. Be aware

Came in to have dinner with my sister from out of town . SERVICE WAS GARBAGE . They sat us in a section our waiter wasn’t even running . He was hardly seen . The Guac was alright our drinks were empty most of time and refilled once when he dropped off food BUT he also never came back to check on us after receiving our food . Really really poor service. I pay for food and tip for your service , I paid for just my food that night WHICH I NEVER DO. I was a server once I know how to wait upon a table .

The food was genuinely exceptional—flavorful, beautifully prepared, and clearly crafted with skill. Unfortunately, the service was an absolute disgrace. Our waitress was, without exaggeration, one of the most disengaged and lethargic servers I’ve ever encountered. Her demeanor was cold, her pace glacial, and her attitude indifferent at best. It took her over 20 minutes to bring a simple chips refill, which is unacceptable by any standard. Worse yet, when I asked to keep the original basket—still containing chips—I was outright denied and had it removed from the table without my consent. That level of dismissiveness is appalling. To be clear: the manager was professional and courteous. But the waitress? A disinterested presence dragging herself from table to table with no apparent purpose or urgency. She contributed nothing to the experience other than irritation. This was supposed to be our anniversary dinner—a fact we noted on the reservation and mentioned again upon arrival. There was zero acknowledgment, no effort, and no care to make it memorable. The disconnect between kitchen excellence and front-of-house incompetence was staggering. I left no tip—and that was intentional. I reward good service. What we experienced was a textbook case of someone who needs immediate retraining, if not a different career path altogether. Dining out should never feel like a chore, and this did. I strongly advise others to avoid this location unless they enjoy good food paired with appallingly poor service.

What can I say, this chain continues to disappoint. I didn't eat at an El Torito for 3 years because it was bad and figured I'd give them another chance. First warning, the place was pretty empty inside around peak dinner time. Second warning was a dude in a frumpy suit with a guitar and portable amp, going table to table asking people if they wanted him to play. To be fair, he was actually ok. The server was nice and attentive, can't fault him at all. I went with carnitas and corn tortillas. They were out of corn tortillas. Ok. I got the flower tortillas instead. The rice was dry and a bit hard. The carnitas were extra greasy and overcooked. Usually when something is wrong with the food, a manager comes out to help resolve the situation. Not the case here, I suppose they couldn't be arsed to figure out what was going on. You'd probably be more satisfied at Cantina Urbana Kalaveras, it's right across the street.
