Just tried for the first time and it was excellent. $20 including tax for early bird special (5-7pm) with a delicious soup, salad, two small dishes, rice, and an ice cream. Wow don't feel like I'm in San Carlos 😉 We saw lots of takeout orders so it must be popular for that.

Love Siamese Kitchen. The people are friendly and food is always delicious. I love their fresh spring rolls, tom yum soup, green curry, sweet basil prawns, pad thai, pad kee mow.... and everything else I've had.

Pretty good Thai food, coming from Berkeley and having had SoCal food. I've tried the Pad Thai & Pad Kee Mow/See Ew, and Sweet Basil Chicken (aka Basil Chili Chicken) and they were delicious, plus brown rice was available for no extra charge with my Basil Chili Chicken (although rice is an extra charge, in general). Their curries are on the sweeter, and if requested, spicy side, and good/solid eats; they come with rice.

Very tasty food. Very polite and fast service. My favorite dish is "* TOM YUM GAI 8.95 A Thai hot and sour chicken soup with lemongrass, galanga, chili paste, mushrooms, carrots and onions." But keep in mind that it is too much for one person :)

Absolutely delicious, genuinely spicy when requested, lovely attentive staff, and some tables in the sun if you want.

Love it. We come at least once a month since we live a few blocks away. The red curry with chicken and pad Thai are our usual favorites.

Small place. Large hearted waiters. Small plates, large portions of food. Small on menu, large on taste. Saint Carlos will be pleased. Guys , visit Siam and be blessed. 😊

Food is the most tastiest Thai in the area. Lunch is most reasonable priced. Dinner can be more expensive. Haven't had a bad meal here yet.

This place is very cool. The employees are very sweet. I would give it a 4.5 but dont have a choice so.. I gave it a 5 star, they respect you alot. And their food is so good😍😍

Everything was very good. Rating should be 4.5. I really enjoyed the Massaman curry. The pork with pineapple and mushrooms was also very good.

Excellent food at great prices, and they offer quick service for dine-in or to go. This is a friend's go-to Thai restaurant in the area and I can see why. I particularly recommend their tom kha soup. :-) If you like spicier food, definitely be sure to tell them that. Their default leans more towards mild or medium.

We ordered the green curry with prawns, pad see aw, and fried spring rolls. All were tasty but especially liked the green curry! Thai ice coffee was also good. Service was very quick and friendly. Would highly recommend this restaurant

We come here for 2 things that my husband loves, Pad See Ew and the Cashew Nut chicken. I'm also a big fan of the eggplant and tofu, all 3 dishes are pretty tasty. Definitely the best Thai food in the Redwood City to Down Town San Mateo area. The service is also prompt.

We visited Siamese kitchen yesterday for dinner. Spring rolls were good not oily. Pad kee maw was spicy and flavourful. Coconut ice cream was good too. The dishes were a little pricey but may be because of inflation. Overall service was quick and good, tasty food and nice ambience.

First time eating Thai in 20 years. We started with Tom Kha with vegetables and Tofu, a heated soup, absolutely delicious! Our entrees (Thai Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad See Ew Noodles) were incredible, so flavorful, both having with large portion sizes. This is my dinner companion's favorite Thai place, and said that he's tried Tom Kha in dozens of restaurants, and this is still his favorite. I can see why. Service was quick and attentive. For those who try to eat authentic, they DO server Thai Beer here as well. Looks like there's a whole new food type for me to tackle...and glad that this one's a local to us.

Tom-Kha soup was great. Red curry was little more spicy. Overall, great place Just had their red curry with tofu and it was too much tofu. They should add more veggies to balance it

Possibly best Thai in San Carlos / Belmont / Redwood City. The place does not look like much, but the food is consistently top notch, throughout their extensive menu. Lots of "lunch special" dishes that are unusual and tasty. Even the soup they serve with the lunch combos is among the best I've had anywhere (across Chinese, Thai, and other varieties). Great take-out spot, and prices are medium.

We have been coming to this Thai restaurant for over 20 years, and it continues to be one of our absolute favorites. Every meal is consistently flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I often say that if I had to choose just one meal for the rest of my life, it would be their soup, it is that good! The owner, the same kind and hard-working young woman we met years ago, is truly a gem. She pours so much care into everything, and it shows. It’s rare to find a place with such heart and consistency. We’re so lucky to have this spot right in our downtown. Highly recommend!

The food is very tasty. The server was very nice. The one thing I didn't care for was that one member of our family ordered something that took a little longer to prepare. We got no warning until after the other 3 of us were served. We were well in to our meals before he was served, and he was still eating well after the rest were finished.

Lemon Grass Chicken was appropriately spiced, and Thai iced tea was classic. Good meal we'll priced.

Good Thai food but woefully understaffed. They had only two waiters serving a full dining room of 30-40 people. Staff were doing their best but were totally overwhelmed. Large parties waiting outside were even giving up, which was painful to watch. Maybe their other wait staff called in sick? Otherwise a good deal and tasty.

Good atmosphere and customer service. However, pad thai was rather salty and the pork dishes were really really fatty. I'll end with the spring rolls were fresh and tasty.

The restaurant is quite small. Their menu list is extensive. The prices are OK. The food, well how do I say it, it's a little off to my taste. Something is missing when it comes to the taste of the food itself.

Decent thai food with polite staff. Not the best thai fried rice i had around here. Regular fare - seemed couple bucks pricey for the quantity and quality of food here.

I want Thai food for dinner and decided to give this a try. I ordered takeout by calling. I ordered roast duck with red curry and fried cat fish strip with eggplant. The food was ready within 15 min. The restaurant was pretty cozy and not crowded when we arrived. Now the dishes which we ordered. For the duck curry. There is more veggie and less duck meat. It is ok. The curry is not that strong. I think it needs more soup and stronger red curry flavor. I have tried duck curry at many Thai restaurants. For the cat fish, the cat fish is too salty, and the sauce doesn't seem to coat the fish enough. The fish fillet size, I think, is better to be cut in half. The eggplant is good. Looks like the green peppercorn is missing. I see that in most cat fish and egg plant which I had before. Overall, the dishes are ok.

Ordered takeout from this small, cozy, restaurant. Was greeted by very friendly staff at pickup. The food was packaged well for the transport home. Of the dishes ordered, Pad Se-iew was the best. Pad Thai was a disappointment. The dishes tasted like it was made with ketchup. Lacked flavor and depth. Might give it a try again because of the friendly staff.

Thai comfort food. All the usual dishes plus some creative house specials. Reservations not needed. Family-friendly, good vegetarian selections, accessible. Right in downtown, a quick walk from the new parking structure if there's no street parking.

The food was good, but the wait for food felt so long given that there was only one other table of people in the entire restaurant. Music playing was not great. Solid place for dinner but not great place for a date, low little energy and ambiance.

We ordered takeout from The Siamese for a larger group. The food was okay overall. One downside is that there were no spice level options when ordering, and there was no drink menu available online, which made planning for a group a bit harder. They did include a complimentary soup with the order, which was a nice touch, although it wasn’t clear what the soup was. The labels were hard to read, so I ended up opening the containers and relabeling everything for my team. Despite the small inconveniences, we would likely order again since it’s close by and convenient for group takeout.

The Pad Thai tasted tomatoey... Almost spaghetti like. The combo appetizer was so so. The chicken satay was solid. Basil chilie prawns had nice flavor, but the plate was mostly peppers and mushroom. For $14-15,a plate there could've been more meat...

Food was not good. I’ve been back 3 times and it was ok the first couple times but never great. The 3rd time I thought the food was really bad. My pad siew was so unevenly salted that a few times I felt like I was eating pure salt. The service was good and I know they could’ve gave me a new plate but I’m just disappointed the food quality and the meat was so tough and not tender… I hope they have a better chef in the future.

My family and I just had dinner there tonight for probably the 9th time, and we absolutely love this restaurant! The best positive and polite service accompanied with the most delicious and healthy food. This is a real treat wether it's take out or dining in these guys never disappoint you. I recommend that anyone and everyone should really take a second to try this restaurant I promise I don't give out good reviews easily because I want people to experience and enjoy the best food especially when we all work hard for it. Update ....we went here a couple of days ago for take out and ordered a lot of food we spent about 150.00, the curry was extremely spicy and the survings we got were very minimal, the other food was very flavorless and the rice was spicy for some reason. It feels like a completely different restaurant and we are really sad that they have gone down this much in quality and its a real shame. We unfortunately will not be going back here because I called to talk to someone about how bad this is and no one seemed to want to talk to me and waiting there on the phone I was hung up on. Again very disappointed. You guys lost good customers.

This is an updated review. I took away four stars because we ordered food here recently (few days ago) and the quality of the food is just lacking. I don't know if they have a new cook or chef, but the food was a disappointment this time around. The pineapple fried rice tasted so plain. We always order the pineapple fried rice and no one wanted it after they tried it over dinner. The pat thai was okay, nothing special. The green curry was a joke. I mean when we called our order in, when I asked for less spice in the curry, the woman on the phone gave me a hard time about it, she says "well it's already mild" and I explained to her that not everyone can handle your "mild". Like seriously if a customer requests something why would you try and argue with them? I think its rediculous. We also ordered crispy spring rolls and by the time they were picked up and because they don't know how to package something such as spring rolls, we had soft soggy spring rolls. I mean it doesn't take an expert but other restaurants would packaged something like this with holes in it so the steam doesn't make them soggy which they were. The only 2 things that came out correctly and nice was the dessert, mango and sweet rice. We won't be coming back here again.

We entered the restaurant at 5:10pm on a Friday afternoon. We had 3 kids and knowing their appetite for patience, we wanted to beat the crowd. Fortunately, there were only 2 other tables of which both had food being delivered. We put out order in, and in the next 15 mins or so, the rest of the restaurants filled up as well as multiple Uber/DoorDash folks showed up. And there we sat for the next hour just waiting for food. What was infuriating was that Uber/DoorDashers got their food, as well as people who arrived after us at the restaurant. We asked 2 different servers on where our food was, only to be told it was coming, yet continuously we were left unserved. Finally after threatening to leave, they brought out one dish (most likely the popular item they snatched from another order). We simply left. Just to be fair, we did get the salad in the very first 5 mins of the order, so yes, sat for 55 mins without the rest of the meal. We won't be going back for a while. Such a bummer because we're locals and we really wanted this place to be our go-to Thai spot.

S
Stephen Dangerfield

Food had little to no taste of flavor, not to mention they forgot one of the items that we ordered and we told them about the mistake but still charged us for it and wouldn't take it off. To make things better, while we were eating a gentleman came in and delivered Pizza to the people in the kitchen, so they're not even eating they're own food. Overall 2 for the food, 1 for the wait time and 1 for the overall service provided.

Was overcharged $71 for this meal. We ordered one Soup and one Curry, two Thai iced tea and one brown rice along with appetizer in pic. Bank has not yet corrected the problem. Part of our Food was horrible and burnt. That tiny nasty crab appetizer in the picture was $16 and I don't even think it was crab. It tasted like burnt tilapia that was 2 years old. The other person who uploaded pictures of the menu listed the appetizer at $10. Don't go here if you know what is good for your wallet.
