When i was a young lad growing up in South Africa, there was a place that served beef noodle soup. It was a very specific dish and it was my favourite. When i moved to the USA in 2012, i couldnt find any restaurant that served similar noodles. Its taken me 14 years to discover this place because the Taiwanese braised beef noodle soup is the closest thing ive tasted. 10/10.

Bafang Dumpling — authentic Taiwanese flavors! Tastes exactly like what I’ve had in Taiwan. The pan-fried dumplings are crispy and delicious, and the wonton soup is very comforting. The fried chicken cutlet is tasty and aromatic, though slightly overcooked and a bit dry. The pickled cucumber and daikon side dishes were refreshing. No additional service charge — great value for the price. Highly recommended!

Bufang Dumpling is a fast food restaurant but the food they serve is delicious its ran by about 5 mexicans and play mexican music really loud lol, but mexicans make the best dumplings lol. I highly recomend. Bufang Dumplibg. I will be coming back to make this place my place to go for dumplings.

Excellent Chinese food at Bafang Dumpling! The restaurant was very busy so you may need to wait for a seat, you order at the front and they give you a buzzer. We ordered the combo #4 with signature noodles, kimchi and pork potstickers, beef dry noodle, chili peppered fried chicken, veggie dumplings and soy awesome and soy tiger bobas for drinks. Everything tasted great. The service was very friendly and quick. Recommend!

Heard there were long lines so went right when they opened on Sunday (10 AM) . Small line at the door but plenty of seats and they had 2 cashiers to help the line move quickly. Loved the taste of the food - as other reviewers said, tend to be on the sweeter side but great flavors nonetheless! Special shout out to the hot and sour soup which had an assortment of ingredients not typically found in US hot and sour soups (reminded me more of a cross of West Lake soup and hot n sour) One thing i found odd was that even for dine in, they serve all food in take out ready containers and only has plastic spoons out for use

Great place to get some great dumplings, soup, noodles, or a pork chop even. For the price point, it's really a great value for the amount of food you receive. Families bigger than 4 people may have a hard time finding a place to sit due to demand of seating; if you come later in the evening, the seating opens up with some tables coming available. In the pictures posted, I had the number 8 meal which is old fashioned noodles, a pork chop, and some black lemon tea. While my wife had the number 6 meal which was, 4 dumplings of each type, along with some corn chowder. Everything was great flavor, and very filling. Due to this storefront opening not long ago, there was a wait of 15 - 20 mins but it was due to the dinner time rush. Anytime after 8:30 and there was no rush, or line, and plenty of seating. There are vegetarian options which are the veggie dumplings and pot stickers. I do see us coming back in the near future to try out the rest of the items on the menu.

We came on the grand opening. There was a long line but fortunately it moved very fast. You order, check out and wait for items. Very convenient. Taiwanese braised beef noodle soup is a must have! We like soy awesome and soy milk! Signature dumplings are mediocre.

I've been to Taiwan four times and the beef noodle soup and traditional noodles are as good as any I've had in Taiwan and so are the dumplings. Corn chowder is a little sweet the dumpling soup is great. Also, try the spicy noodles very authentic flavor. I like that they have a kiosk option for ordering.

This is one of my favorite places!!! I just love the kimchi and pork pot stickers, the flavor is just great, and when you dip'em in a black vinegar and soy sauce mix... It's delicious!! The atmosphere is fine, my family and me feel quite comfortable there; although some times it gets a bit crowded, as could be expected!! The staff is very attentive, they answer easily ane questions, and make sure you get exactly what you order. The price is very reasonable, and the food is fresh -my main reason to like this spot!! There is plenty of parking, even if you need to recharge your EV. I would recommend the dry noodle beef bowl, the noodles are very good and the beef has a flavor that gets complemented nicely with the hot sauce they have. Definitely a good place for a quick bite, I am a recurring customer!!

Honestly the best dumplings, noodles - so good I even ordered them 3 days in a row. Always had it delivered but no issues - food always best quality and even tastes good the next day. Corn / chicken, pork dumplings - delicious. spicy and non-spicy wontons - delicious. Same for the spicy and signature noodles - so good. Food isn't that spicy - but you can always add more. Definitely recommend!!

Love the food, but please consider having a smaller portion size for the beef noodle soup. Some customers may want to try more items with less cost and smaller portion sizes. In addition, please consider a loyalty program for customers like other fast casual chains. It can give more incentive and customer satisfaction for future visits.

I'm happy Bafang has made its way to Mira Mesa! It definitely has Taiwanese fast food energy. We always order online and pick up and it is easy to do. I like the old fashioned noodles, potstickers, and wonton soup. I also loved the soy wild mango and I'm devastated they took their drinks off the menu 😭

Bafang Dumpling has a little something for everyone’s dietary needs/preferences. We are a plant-based family, and we ordered the Bafang Signature Noodles, the Veggie Dumplings, and the Sesame Noodles. All were recommended by “Ash” (the restaurant cashier) and her recommendations were spot on - the Bafang Noodles were a spicy noodle, the sesame noodles were perfect for kids (no spice), and the veggie dumplings were a hit for the entire family. The food had good flavor with many dipping sauce offerings to appeal to a broad group of customers. Ash’s superior customer service was very much appreciated and valued by this family. We will patronize Bafang Dumpling again based on Ash’s personable manner alone. Bafang Dumpling Is Food That Brings People Together!

This place is popular. Once in, I saw a lot of to go orders from delivery services and take outs. It took a little longer than expected to get the food, but that's understandable since its lunch time. The soup was very good. The dumplings were very good. The rice and pork was very good. The service was good, and they were helpful. Clean Toilets. Nice clean tables. Soda machine. Kiosk for self ordering. Plenty of parking.

Really nice Taiwanese dumplings. I was actually just coming from Taipei and stumbled upon this place. So I was quite surprised how close to the actual Taipei dumplings those were. Albeit an American size and serving 😂 I took out one star for how confusing it was to get my order after I paid. And for the place being too noisy because of high schoolers inside discussing their escapades. Otherwise if you don’t come during the lunch break it will be a nice place to eat Taiwanese food at.

Great dumpling and vibrant ambiance! Took longer than I excepted to have the food prepared. And I expected better or specially designed sauce container, the the sauce is an important part of experience. Overal I recommend it.

Ordered: #3 $14.95 6 Signature Dumplings 6 Kimchi & Pork Potstickers Hot & Sour Soup #7 $13.75 Bafang Signature Noodle Wonton Soup Our friends ordered, see receipt. They enjoyed their dishes as much as we did. Everything was yummy delicious finger licking good! Only draw back, the food took a while even though we were the only customers in the dining room.

Excited to dump into their soft opening in SD location. Long lines of waiting. Good quality of food. Authentic dumplings tastes really good. The only downside - there are many of the paper and plastics containers and utensils that they use here even for dine in guests. Overall food tastes tend to be sweeter side. However, I appreciate the Taiwanese dumpling shop like this in the U.S. when I craving for Asian food. This will be the go to place to grab some noodles and dumplings.

Good pot stickers and dumplings at reasonable prices. The pork chop was forgettable but the fried chicken was good. The fried chicken was crispy but it would have been a lot better if they were less oily. Hot and sour soup and chili wontons are good too. Overall good value restaurant 👍

This place was packed for lunch on a Monday. Every table was full and there was a line to order. Luckily a table opened up and we were able to grab it. The line to order went quickly but our food took a while to come out. We bought some cold appetizers so we were glad we had those to munch on while we waited for our food. I really like the cold meat, tofu, and peanuts combo tray that we got. The dumplings were crispy on the outside and full of flavor. I really like the signature Bafang dry noodles too. They had a nice spicy kick to them. The hot and sour soup was ok.

Bafang Dumpling is quickly expanding across Southern California, and the Mira Mesa location keeps up the same high standards. Their menu highlights dumplings, potstickers, and noodles, with a special lunch combo that combines their most popular items—perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. They also offer a variety of refreshing fruit teas and milk teas to pair with your food. Their frozen dumplings are another hit, available in convenient packs of 20 or 50 pieces, making them ideal for take-home meals. The spacious dining area is inviting, with stories on the walls that share the history of their dumplings, potstickers, and the franchise’s growth. That said, be prepared for a bit of a wait, as the potstickers are made fresh to order. While the wait time can be longer than expected, the quality of the food makes it worth it!

Food was mediocre. It tasted like average dumplings and potstickers. Pretty sure the Costco frozen dumplings are better. The potsticker was decent and had a nice crunch to it. Their chili crispy chicken was decent (kind of like popcorn chicken). The noodle consistency was decent but flavor was just ok. The sitting area felt like a cafeteria but had plenty of seating. The cashier was nice. There were no plates so we had to eat on lids.

I got extremely bad diarrhea after eating here. The food must not be sanitary. I ordered the crispy chicken and the potstickers. Aside from the diarrhea I’m currently having, it’s basically like an Asian ikea. Very bare bones, no service, and a limited menu. It is not comparable to a din tai fung dupe at all. It’s also takes extremely long to get your food. Expect to wait around 20 minutes even if it isn’t busy. Would be like a 3.5ish without the diarrhea, but I have it so gotta knock off some stars for that.

I ordered potstickers, but after eating just two pieces I realized they were completely undercooked. The dough was still raw, sticky, and mushy inside. I reported this to the staff, and although they remade the dish for me, they did so very unwillingly and never offered a single apology, which was disappointing. On top of that, the potstickers were extremely tasteless — there was basically no salt at all. Even more surprising, the restaurant claimed to have vinegar, but what they actually provided was soy sauce instead. A place serving potstickers without real vinegar is quite unbelievable. To make matters worse, the tables were very dirty and clearly not cleaned. All of the trays looked like they were reused without proper washing, with sticky sauce residue and visible marks left on them. Overall, a very poor dining experience and definitely not recommended.
