I checked out this place soon after they opened at 4PM on a Thursday. There were already customers waiting for their orders. All of the staff were busy and in good spirits, preparing food, answering the phone, cleaning, etc. It’s always a good sign to see a steady flow of customers and busy staff. I ordered the soft shell crab, calamari steak dinner (Includes a salad and miso soup, gyoza dumplings, California roll) and a sushi roll called the “ex-girlfriend.” Amongst the common sushi rolls they have their house specialties, some with fun names like “hot lips”, “heart attack”, “sin city.” Everything tasted fresh, prepared perfectly and delicious! The soft shell crab is served whole and the calamari steak was tasty and tender. Personally, I’d change the name of my sushi from “ex girlfriend” to “mistress” it’s that good 😋 Andrew took care of me and is very nice and professional. I believe Eunice is an owner/manager. She made sure I had enough condiments and threw in a little surprise edamame. I’m looking forward to trying their other menu items.

Amazing service and fresh food. Came here after hiking with our two year old and intended to take out, but he was so hungry we ended up eating at the tables outside. The kind staff checked on us the whole time and were very child friendly. We enjoyed an unagi bowl, chicken veggie bowl, avocado/salmon roll and Cali roll. Everything was solid and fresh. A very welcoming restaurant!

This is a great neighborhood sushi place. The food is always fresh and delicious. It's kinda small, so seating can be a challenge at peak times, but it's totally worth the wait!! I gave 3 stars for atmo cuz the dining room is plain, but the food and service excel, and that's why you'd go here.

This is our favorite sushi spot! The staff is exceptional and the fish is SO fresh! They always have something great on the special board, and the 50% off menu has some great items. We love it here so much, we come here almost weekly- and eat much more for much less than other places. Check them out!

My wife & I have been coming here for the past 10 years and the quality has ALWAYS been topnotch. Their sushi is always fresh. The albacore sashimi is my go-to favorite. The baked langostino is SO good, along with their lemon roll. I lived in Japan for 4 years, so I've had my share of Japanese culture and cuisine, and no other place in San Diego has come close to this establishment. We could sit here for hours, eating & sucking down the sake. The restaurant is a little on the small side considering the amount of business they do, BUT they have an outdoor seating area now, compliments of covid. The only time seating inside the restaurant actually becomes an issue is on Fridays & Saturdays. The entire neighborhood knows where to find the best sushi in Tierrasanta so it's understandable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that anyone in the mood for some Japanese cuisine should choose Edamame for their dining experience over the others. There are at least 2 other sushi spots in a 1 mile radius, but they cant compete with the quality here. The ONLY thing I don't like about this place is that it isn't open 7 days a week.

If you are looking for good sushi in the area you got to try this place. They have been great for sushi rolls with huge portions and very reasonably priced. You get to eat only one roll instead of 2 rolls for other places. Service is top notch! Definitely coming back.

From the food to service all 100%. I’m a big fan of sushi and niguiris and there is nowhere else that is fresher and tastier than Edamami. They’re super neat and it come with a decent portion. You MUST have Salmon and Yellowtail niguiris. Favorite rolls so far it’s Fire Fire and Sindie. I just love this place.

Great, friendly service from front of house and sushi chefs. The highlight was the quality and portion size of the fish. I actually ordered too much because I've been conditioned to expect less. Everything was super fresh, intricately garnished, and they had very impressive cuts and selection. My boyfriend wouldn't stop talking about it after we left, so we will be back!

This place is well hidden within Tierrasanta. It is right off the 52 freeway on Santo road. It's consistently good with solid pricing. Give it a try!

I literally drove by this place every day waiting to find out the date they were scheduled to open for business and I was there on their first day. I love good sushi and there’s not a lot to choose from in Tierrasanta when it come to places to eat. This is a small place, very clean and very friendly staff. The biggest bummer is they are closed on Sundays and are only open until 2 pm then reopen again at 5 pm until 9 pm. The sushi is awesome. Very fresh and many different types of rolls to choose from. I rarely order off the menu now, I just tell the sushi chef what kind of fish sounds good and he whips up something tasty for me that’s not on the menu. This place is popular now especially with the locals so it tends to get busy and there may be a 15-20 min wait but not often enough to steer you in another direction. Parking can be challenging during peak times since this place is located in a strip mall near the post office. Prices are a little high but they do give you quite a bit of fish in their rolls compared to some other sushi places and it’s definitely fresh. Highly recommend if in the area
