Karami Ramen San Diego Reviews
First time here and I couldn't have picked a more perfect place. Karami Ramen absolutely nailed it with this bowl-rich, flavorful broth, tender chashu, and perfectly balanced toppings made every bite unforgettable. It was a delicious and satisfying meal that hit every craving just right. I highly recommend it.
Very cozy with good vibes. I’m not a ramen person, but I finished the entire bowl.
Cute spot with amazing food. I had the vegan special and it was fantastic. My friends got the Karami Special and gave it a solid 9/10. Definitely worth checking out!
Great place and one of the most delicious ramen I've ever had!🍜 Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. 😊 Nice background music, too. 🎶 #Ramen #Restaurant #Food #Music #Dinner
Ramen was fantastic and served quickly and hot. Some Ramen houses serve it lukewarm. I loved how warm it was. It's a modest yet very cozy setting. Decor is uniquely Japanese. Will definitely come back.
Delicious food. Love the lunch special with the half ramen bowls. But they have a full bowl option with a small additional charge. I enjoyed the Miso tonkotsu and chicken cutlet. Delicious! Space is authentic to a Ramen shop in Japan. Small and cozy. Not a place to bring a group of friends or kids. But a really nice atmosphere. The service was really good and welcoming.
I always enjoy some ramen in this small ramen shop. The price certainly raises since Covid but food was still good and worth once awhile. Order their ramen and fried chicken are always a good idea.
The spicy curry is awesome. I actually swear a little bit. The ramen is pretty good as well. The atmosphere actually felt like we were back in Japan. Even the restroom is spotless which is a hallmark of Japanese culture. I will recommend.
The best chicken broth based ramen in San Diego! The store itself was not easy to be seen, and the seats were pretty limited. I ordered Kuro Truffle, which was the tonkotsu with black truffle on the top. I thought both tonkotsu and black truffle were strong flavored, they’d be not compatible with each other. Much to my surprise, they worked really great together! The price was lower than I expected. I’d definitely come back again!
Really cool hidden jem food is good, check out the inside pic atmosphere really cool

Yummy appetizers, super friendly staff, and very cute spot. We loved the decor and diagonally hanging pictures!
Fantastic miso-tonkotsu broth! They offer a cold version in the summer time. Definitely try the gyoza- They are perfectly cooked and keep their little skirt. Vegan options as well.
Excellent Ramen and Curry! Traditionally perfect flavors. Highly recommend the Karami Signature Ramen. Flavorful broth and quality ingredients. The curry was some of the best I have had a lot of curry.
My husband and I absolutely love this place. We never take photos of our food but if you’re looking for amazing ramen and bites it’s definitely that! We always go out of our way to stop here when we can. FYI, It is a smaller hidden gem, with a small staff and all waitresses have been so kind and helpful and usually fast. My husband says it’s very authentic tasting but we love that they have a chicken base since we don’t eat pork. Don’t sleep on the fried rice, it slaps (as the young kids say these days)!
This is one of the best hidden gems in Convoy. I will fully admit, I don't usually eat a lot of ramen. I'm usually more of a soba guy. But this place has such a robust menu that it kinda has something for everyone. They make gyoza with the skirt (the BEST way) and the fried rice is cozy and makes you feel like you're getting a warm hug. The atmosphere is relaxing and feels like it's own little pocket dimension. Also very friendly service. I want this place to be around a long time! It deserves all the love!
I am not a big ramen fan to begin with, but this place convinced me other spots don't have the secret sauce. The broth was so rich but not overbearing, the noodles had a great texture, the chasu was delightful. I had some gyoza and chicken fried rice as well, everything was seasoned well and cooked jjst right. This will be my Ramen go-to. Thank you to the folks in the kitchen and wait staff for changing my oppinion on ramen.

Great experience here. Their ramen bowls are big and the noodles have a nice chewy consistency to them! I think the Karaage can be a little less fried/breaded but still really good. The environment here is smaller and resembled a more authentic Japanese experience. It has a bar area and small tables with small seats. Everything just adds to the authenticity.
I had the $15 lunch special combo: small karami ramen and fried chicken cutlet. The noodles and egg were excellent, the broth and chasu were average. The fried chicken cutlet pieces were very good- one piece was fatty and gamey. Service was great, it’s a small space with a very cozy atmosphere.
Karami Ramen restaurant is hidden in the corner. Had this place bookmarked for a bit and when my friend asked me to meet her here for lunch I was excited to drive down to Convoy from North County. I've been having bad luck with tasty ramen lately and I will say that Karami Ramen has really great and tasty ramen. Service was good as they were not busy. Food: Lunch Combo: Miso Tonkatsu with chicken Kara-age for $10.90. My friend had the Karami signature Ramen which was delicious. The broth is very tasty but not fatty broth like a pork base. My friends ramen was extra delcious and I will try that next time. The noodles were perfect for me since I like it al dente. The karage was a little disappointing to me. I had to have them cook it more. It looked like it was still bloody on the inside however they crisp on the outside was perfect. Overall, I will return since it's starting to get cold in SD.

5/10 👎Place was charmingly authentic looking, and service decent, but low quality ingredients & undercooked - felt like the cabbage and other vegetables were made of plastic. And 20 bucks for the truffle powder flavoring. Next!
I tried the small portion of their miso tonkotsu ramen, gyoza, and their chicken chahan. The ramen soup was good but the noodles look like the noodles from instant ramen and the chicken chahan was salty so I was kinda disappointed. Their gyoza was ok... Atmosphere wise you feel like you're in Japan. Food was also pricey. I'm giving this place 3 stars

Edit: I went back and confronted the girl who was hosting on Feb 18th and Feb 20th. While I got my money back, no apology or acknowledgment was issued. Really should have more ethical practices. I’ve spent over $90 here in the last 3 weeks and now they’ve lost a repeat customer. I love going here for lunch but not until the hostess/ server left a fraudulent tip. I take a picture of all of my receipts for this reason. While the food is good, I unfortunately will never be going back here.
Went there all excited to try some good ramen, but it was the other way, I took the Karami spicy ramen as they say, Boom surprise: not spicy, there is not even a taste of spice, it's like i was drinking water with noodles. Really bad experience, never going back there again.
