Moniker General San Diego Reviews
I celebrated my Murder Mystery birthday at Moniker General in Liberty Station, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The beautiful patio made the day feel extra special — it’s such a stunning spot with a great vibe, perfect lighting, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy good company. The drinks were on point (highly recommend the craft cocktails and coffee!), and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a great time, and it felt like the ideal mix of laid-back and stylish.
Crazy packed on weekends but nice to stop here, get a coffee, and roam the grounds of Liberty Station. Things you should know: I. PARKING Oh, this place is easy. Liberty Station has multiple, large and free public lots to park your car with plenty of available spaces. II. SERVICE Timely for how packed they are on the weekend. They're grinding out drinks nonstop to keep the line moving! III. QUALITY Of good palatal standard. The design is appealing to be surrounded by as well ~ indoors and outdoors. IV. CAPACITY On weekends, the likelihood of you finding an indoor table to camp out and knock out work is slim, unless you're at a shared table. More seating tends to be outside. Lighting in this place isn't particularly good for my friends who do digital work at cafes since there are windows everywhere, but it's certainly a good spot to catch up with friends!
One of my favorite coffee shops in San Diego. I’ve been coming here for a few months and I’m never disappointed. The vibe and design of the place is outstanding. Coffee is delicious and staff are really friendly. Great place to hang out, work or study. If you want to stay late, you can order drinks and enjoy the great atmosphere of Liberty Station.
One of my favorite cafe and place to spend a few hours with. Spacious interior. Retro decor. Private collection. Sometimes I like the outdoor seats for some vitamin D while sometimes I’d like to find a sofa seats inside to read a book. There is lot of choices for different people and reasons.
Great spot for an evening cocktail! Great vibe.
I really love this place. Matcha is one of my favorites. Oh and you can get some alcohol...yes please Black Jewel. Nice to hang out and cute shopping products.
Classy, modern spot with great coffee and small plates. The 'Toast Flight' (3x 1/2 portions) was an awesome breakfast to share.
Great vibe here. I came to hear Love on the Weekend band. They crushed it!

This was my first time checking out this coffee shop, and I’m blown away by the vibe. Selling coffee, breakfast, wine, and clothes all under one roof? Genius. The place is buzzing with people, and the interior design is seriously on point. Plus, the location in the old military barracks adds such a cool, unique touch.
Moniker is a cool spot. There are a lot of seating areas to enjoy your coffee while working or to meet up with friends. The latte and coffee was good. They also sell merchandise for those who like to grab a last minute gift.
Bar, lounge, general store all rolled into one. Great place for a group, drinks after work (The Black Jewel an A+ drink). Building has tall ceilings, a relaxed atmosphere, and catches the breeze pretty well. Never bought anything from the general store, but the items look like quality, and I'm sure the price matches it.
I like the open space. A comfortable environment that's not without it's charm. The coffee was good and the staff was friendly.
Pretty pricey but worth it for the atmosphere. Paid a little over $6 for a large iced coffee and it was decent, but the experience of the store itself was worth the visit. Parking isn’t too bad either.

I generally love this place. But their coffee shop always is closed earlier than Google says. It is typically busy and the atmosphere is great. I've had my coffee made wrong before and the drinks are usually not hot enough (they are "drinking temp" which cool too quickly). But they taste good and Liberty station is great.

Coffee & Day Drinking This is an interesting spot. They market it as a coffee/bar/general store. It’s a SoCalgeneral store. Trinkets from San Diego as you expect it would be in Liberty Station. The bar looked kind of cool, although I didn’t sit and have a drink or any food, I was there for the coffee. Decent. Cute place and I was so excited to try it, but unfortunately won’t be returning. Mine and my SIL’s drinks tasted just like straight milk. My salted caramel latte wasn’t even sweet. You can always tell by the color of the coffee if it will be good or not. My SIL even had to ask them to add an extra shot of espresso which I should have done as well. Drinking mike so I feel like I didn’t just waste $7. 🥲

Wow! 15 minutes wait for a simple coffee order? ...after standing in line for 10mins! Crazy
Incredibly slow service. Waited in line for over 40 minutes just to order coffee. All the workers were working but no one was in a hurry. Great atmosphere though.

I love working from this place. It is unique, in a great area, and the food is top notch when it is made to my order. Unless you are sitting outside, it is challenging to socialize with the loud music. The disappointing highlights here, are the extreme parental controls on the internet. You can't view comments on YT videos. You are only allowed to watch leftist-leaning views, and they block funny comedians. I am an adult, and blocking this stuff is pretty controlling and discriminatory. I could understand if it was something that was physically hurting someone else... but that is not the case. Now, they have lost 90% of my patronizing (I spent on average $10 a day). I go across to the marketplace now. They have free WIFI, no parental controls, endless food & coffee shops with ample space to sit and work, and no time limits, plus the bathroom is cleaner with toilet seat covers. To the owner, please stop treating adults like we're kids. The world is not all about you. If you solved this, many of us would return & spend our money. RESPONSE to the OWNER: THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS. MANY OF US FEEL LIKE 10 YEAR OLDS AT A COFFEE SHOP. I HAVE DISCOVERD THE MARKET ACROSS, WHERE I DO NOT GET MET WITH PARENTAL CONTROLS. I LOVE MONIKER, BUT THEY HAVE STRONG PARENTAL CONTROLS ON IT, AND I WILL RECORD IT WITH MY CELL, AND POST THE VIDEO HERE, SO YOUR SUPPORTERS CAN SEE THAT YOU'RE FABRICATING A STORY. IF YOU FIX IT, I WILL DELETE THIS. IF IT IS STILL AN OPTION NEXT WEEK, I WILL MAKE A VIDEO, POST IT TO SOCIAL MEDIA, & HERE SO THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE. PEOPLE WOULD NOT COME UP WITH SOME BIZARRE STORY LIKE THIS IF IT WAS NOT TRUE. YOU HATE CONSERVATIVES, AND LIKE A STRICT DAD, YOU DO NOT ALLOW US TO EVEN SEE COMMENTS OR POST ON YT CHANNELS. "THOSE ARE RESTRICTIONS". OTHERWISE, THIS PLACE IS A GREAT SPACE, TO EAT, GRAB COFFEE, OR TEA, AND PARKING IS PLENTIFUL. THE RESTRICTIONS ARE SUFFOCATING, SO NOW I JUST GO TO THE MARKET PLACE ACROSS THE STREET SINCE THEY HAVE MULTIPLE OUTLETS, FOOD OPTIONS, AND DON'T TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY CAN DO AS AN ADULT, WHICH IS A VIOLATION OF FIRST AMENDMENT. YOU HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND BETTER TO THIS, AND OFFER A SOLUTION, INSTEAD OF ACTING LIKE WE'RE JUST PULLING FAIRY DUST OUT OF OUR BUMS.
