Best Paella Ever! This place is incredible! Here’s why I give it 5 stars: • Mind-blowing Paella: I ordered the "Single" size, but it was huge enough for 3–4 people! Loaded with seafood and perfectly crispy at the bottom. It was so delicious it gave me goosebumps—the best I’ve ever had. • Insane Value: The Happy Hour tapas were mountain-sized and far exceeded my expectations for the price. We were stuffed! • Perfect Vibes: The Spanish-style interior with red glowing lamps is beautiful, and the service is top-notch. Highly recommended for both the food and the atmosphere!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. They have dancing and great food. Brandon was my bartender last night and his service was on point. Beside being attentive, he was friendly and personable. Thank you, Brandon. The Pulpo Romescoe and Pan con Tomate w/ cheese are my favorites.

I was attending a conference in San Diego and I met two colleagues for dinner at this place in the gaslamp district. The decor is very beautiful and traditional Spanish. We ordered Tapas to share as well as a traditional paella, which was outstanding. The octopus (pulpo) was fabulous, as were the croquetas and albondigas (meatballs). Outstanding food all around, just as good as in Spain where I visited recently. Our server was friendly and helpful. Oh, and we had the sangria which was great. No complaints. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes Spanish food.

We went here for Happy Hour and a dinner. The food was delicious and drinks were great. Their Octopus ceviche was absolutely amazing. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The food service was exceptional, with attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of the dining experience was enjoyable. The Sangria pitcher was not only a fantastic value but also brimming with vibrant flavors that perfectly complemented our meal. Each sip was refreshing and rich, making it a highlight of the evening. Additionally, the live music added a wonderful ambiance, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhanced our overall experience and made the night truly memorable.

Date night offers so many choices downtown, but you can't go wrong with live music and Spanish tapas and sangria! My white sangria was delicious, and the shared tapas were excellent. Service was fantastic.

Great happy hour 4:30 to 6:30 My wife and I drank sangria, Spanish old fashioned. And enjoyed stuffed dates, croquetes and empanadas from the happy hour menu. Also had boquerones from the regular menu. This was a great find! After I posted above, we decided on desert. Oh wow... catalán cheesecake is phenomenal, the crema Catalana delicious and we topped it all off with a dessert sherry flight. OMG I can't wait to be back in San Diego to come back.

One of the best Paella I've ever tried. We ordered both Seafood and Black Seafood in a mixed Paella. The Black Seafood Paella provides a gentle taste of Seafood, without heavy flavored rice. The Seafood one does go for a heavier taste, mixing multiple spices together. The Octopus Tapa is also on par with the main entries. Definitely a must try when visiting San Diego!

Visited for Tapas with friends on a Tuesday evening. I recommend dinner reservations especially when a conference is in town. Service was excellent, food was very good and served quickly but we didn't feel rushed. There was indoor and outdoor seating, plus a quieter room upstairs, maybe for large groups. The bathroom is upstairs, but there is an elevator if needed.

Really beautiful space and delicious food! Our server was really great and helpful, accommodated us wanting to split the bill too. We split beef empanadas which were delicious, and a paella (single portion between two people) which was just enough food. The price was a little expensive, but overall, it was a good experience.

Such a fun atmosphere! Night life in this area is just what you need. My sister loves paella & tapas...so this was the place to go.

Café Sevilla brings the essence of Spain to Costa Mesa with its lively tapas, flamenco nights, and irresistible cocktails. It's a spot where you can sip sangria by a fire pit, share plates like empanadas and paella with friends, and dance off into the night all with warm, spirited energy. 10/10

Absolutely loved it here! Everything from the food to the drinks was A+mazing—so tasty and perfectly made. Our server, Jesus, was phenomenal—friendly, attentive, and really made the evening feel special. The vibes and music are fantastic too, giving it just the right energy for a fun night out or a celebration. I honestly can’t think of anything that missed the mark. Between the delicious food, well-crafted drinks, and overall fun, inviting atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you can’t wait to return to. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out with friends, good food, and an upbeat, happy energy.

Went here for happy hour on a Sunday. Friendly staff, quick service, tasty food. Really enjoyed the spicy octopus ceviche and lamb sliders. The interior of the restaurant is really beautiful and interesting to look at. There is a stage too, because there is regular live music/performances I have heard. We sat outside with our pooch. I plan to return!

Wolf in the Woods exceeded all expectations—creative dishes in a beautiful, woodsy interior that feels upscale yet welcoming. The beef tartare starter was phenomenal (fresh and boldly seasoned), and the main courses like the roasted chicken and seasonal veggies were cooked to perfection. Cocktails are inventive too. Excellent service and a great wine list. One of the top new-ish spots in SD for a special occasion!

Overall pretty good! Dined last night, had 4 tapas. Ensalada mallorca- very good, refreshing. Papas bravas- a little spicy, but delicious and big helping! Gambas Al ajillo- good, not that many shrimp but tasty and very garlicy- would have been great with a piece of toasted bread like they do in Spain. Lamb sliders- excellent! Service was very slow at first- our waiter disappeared and another one ended up taking our order. They had live music which was nice, but way too loud. We moved our table to back of the restaurant because we couldn't hear each other talking and we were right in front of the speaker. Was a fun dinner and a fun reminder of our trip to Sevilla/Spain last year!

Got there around 5 pm and only 1 or 2 other tables there before us when they opened at 4:30 pm. For drinks we started off ordering the Happy Hour Red and White Sangria. For starters we ordered the Tortilla Espanola and Patatas Bravas. I really enjoyed the Patatas Bravas, nice flavor, mix of sweetness and spiciness. For the main dish we ordered the Family Style Meat Paella "Rupestre" which had pork tenderloin, grilled sausages, chicken, lamb chop and flat iron steak. The paella was solid as well. Solid food, server and ambiance.

Oh my paella! The seafood paella marinara, which is gluten and dairy free, is H.E.A.V.A.N on a skillet! We visited around 745pm on a Sat night and the restaurant was bustling with patrons. A performer was setting up the stage to deliver a live performance around 830pm that night. The hostess did a fantastic job that night balancing greeting patrons and assisting with bussing tables in order to seat people faster. We chose to dine outside since the evening felt mild. There were heaters above us to also warm the air. My friend and I both ordered different paella dishes. We had planned to order seafood during our visit to San Diego. Finding a Spanish restaurant which sold a paella seafood dish was an extra treat! The rich was expertly prepared, resulting in a flavorful, fluffy texture, and the consistency of each seafood item was also perfectly prepared. Highly recommend visiting this gem.

I came here with a group of six work mates. We ordered the meal for two for $99. You get five dishes. We ordered the meatballs and ceviche from option one. Bacon wrap dates and chorizo from option two. Croquetas de queso is the only option for dish number three. Dish number four you get two dishes or the paella. So we ordered the raised beef, the salmon, the paella for two. The last dish is basque cheese cake. On top of that, we ordered the charcuterie board with the different meats, and added manchego cheese. All the food was excellent. The dates were amazing. Savory but sweet, with a nice crunch. The paella was delicious, but the Braised beef was the winner. It just fell apart. And the cheese cake had nice orange flavor. Overall, it was an amazing meal with great service. We sat outside because the weather was nice. But there's table and bar sitting available inside. They also have a second floor that can accommodate large groups or private events. 22 Aug 25: We came back for dinner on a Thursday night and we sat inside this time. The service was subpar. Our server, Carlo was nowhere to be found most of the time. Last time we had a group of six and they were able to split our checks. This time, the server said it was their policy not to split it. Which is total BS.

I love the atmosphere there, the live music, colors, decoration everything. I also loved the food the first time I visited San Diego. But the second time, last week, I ordered the same dish and got sick. There was also a long waiting line which you need to know and make reservations. The staff are nice.

We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday at this restuarant with a group of seven. The evening had its ups and downs, but overall, it was a memmorable experience. Reservation and Seating: The restuarant opens at 4:30 PM. I started calling right at 4:30 PM, trying 20 to 30 times, but no one answered. Around 6:30 PM, I added our party to the Yelp waitlist, which indicated a 20+ minute wait and that we were ninth in line, with an estimated seating time of 7:27 PM. We arrived at the restuarant at 8:00 PM, only to find we were still ninth on the list. Surprisingly, the restuarant wasn’t very busy, with many empty tables. It seems they don’t prioritize phone calls or the Yelp waitlist, so it’s best to just show up in person. Food and Drinks: We ordered three Mezcal drinks, which were exceptional. For appetizers, we had the vegetable brocheta, pollo brocheta, and cordero brocheta. The Papas brava was super tangy and stood out among the hot tapas. For the main course, we shared the mushroom and roasted garlic paella familia (large) and the valenciana paella familia. While we enjoyed the food, it leaned towards the tangy side. Our vegetarian friend didn’t fancy the mushroom paella and ended up ordering some bread with a dip. At the end, they kindly brought out a small cake with a candle to celebrate the birthday. Ambiance: Live music started at 8:30 PM, adding a delightful touch to the evening. The atmosphere was just right—not too loud, not too quiet. Overall: We had a good time. The food is commendable, but don’t rely on phone calls or the Yelp waitlist; it’s better to visit in person. We spent about $500 for the seven of us, which seemed reasonable for the dishes we ordered.

Spanish food with live music in an interesting themed environment. Lamb sliders were good. Tortilla Espanola was ok too. The meatballs were do so and the burnt brussel sprouts had a bit toouch mayo and oil. Subjective of course, depends on each person's pallette. Rose was good. Food/ wine was served quickly after ordering, however it's a busy place service time can vary ..for us it took ages to get the bill. This would be a good place for a lively energetic noisey evening out for people to enjoy themselves, especially with the live music.

Missable spot for vegetarians. Tried the papas bravas which were NOT like the patatas bravas of Spain! This one had onions, peppers and a huge amount of aoili. Didn’t taste horrible but it’s just saucy potatoes unlike real patatas bravas. The vegetables skewers again come drenched in aioli and don’t taste well by themselves. The biggest disappointment is mushroom and garlic paella. The mushrooms are cooked in some tomato sauce and it seemed they were added on top of the rice that were cooked separately! It wasn’t much of a paella. The sangria wasnt tasty either. All in all won’t be coming back.

Our group paid for 2 of the professional photos while we were there for apps and drinks on a Friday night. The woman named Maria told us we could come back a different day to pick up the photos since we were going out after dinner. We paid $40 for the two photos and when we returned to pick up the photos they were "missing" and were not in the "office". Basically the restaurant did nothing, did not give our money back or offer anything to comp this scam. Probably wouldn't recommend unless you condone stealing from your paying customers.
