There's a lot of other wonderful spaces, surroundings, inside n out and throughout that i didn't capture here as well as this great area. My Mom, three year old twins, and I all really enjoyed both times we went. Very delicious 😋!

I drove a long way to Pt. Loma for a fishing trip. I decided to go to Point Loma Cafe. I had Eggs Benedict and coffee. The eggs were perfect and the coffee delicious! Excellent Service!

I ordered the carnitas and the wings. Very good for both items. Wings have a nice crunch. The service was spectacular.

They deserve it! This was amazing! Just wow with the chilaquiles and omelette! It did not need any salt or hot sauce. It was all so tasty!

A real treasure for San Diego. I tried the San Diego Breakfast Tea, it didn't disappoint, very nice full body taste. Right, Next door they have Ube Pandesol or traditional French pastries that look like they are too perfect to eat. Great stop for anyone to brighten their day ☀️

Outstanding breakfast. Not all hollandaise sauce is created equal. Theirs is exceptional. Eggs Benedict yesterday and American skillet with no potatoes and hollandaise today ( you have to ask for that ) very good breakfast. Exceptional service!

Our morning breakfast was worth the visit! The view of the harbor was very nice. All of the servers were energetic and functioned as an upbeat team. Our server, Josh, was very thorough and stayed on top of everything. The food was delicious and well priced. My wife really liked their eggs benedict and I enjoyed their fried potatoes with the peppers. The manager, Lynn, was very receptive to my comments and she runs an excellent operation. You will be very pleased.

Great service. Very professional. Breakfast burrito and home fries were good but nothing to brag home about. Just what I needed after a long night out on the town

The breakfast here was amazing! For the price, the portions were good and delicious. It was very quiet here, not many people in and out. I'm not sure why many people don't come here, but the peace and quiet was awesome. It also allowed the workers to give us plenty attention.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Holiday Express and opted to eat at the Cafe near by The breakfast had good portions and it was tasty. The omelet was served with fresh broccoli and lots of cheese. I enjoyed a delicious side of biscuits and gravy. We went back for breakfast a second time and it was still yummy. The waitress was kind and attentive.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. He had a burger and I had the Monte Crista. Both were very good. And the sweet potato fries were the best! The service was great and since it was chilly outside the fire pit tables made for a very nice atmosphere.

If you're staying at the Double Tree this is the best place to get breakfast. Even if you're not this is a great place to eat. We had the make your own omelette and Crab Cake Benedict. Their hollandaise sauce is incredible, rich yet well balanced and not broken. The crab cake was so much crab, you definitely get your money's worth. I would put this in one of the top egg Benedicts I've had in my life. Food aside this was the best service I've had the entire 5 years I've lived in San Diego, Irene is an amazing human being and is so caring of her guests. She deserves so much credit for our experience and this review!

Point Loma Cafe is hands down one of the best spots in town for breakfast! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The place has a cozy, classic diner feel that makes you instantly comfortable. The breakfast menu is packed with delicious options for every taste. Whether you're craving fluffy pancakes, perfectly cooked eggs, or crispy bacon, they’ve got it all. I was especially impressed with how fresh and flavorful everything tasted. The portions are generous, and every bite feels like a homemade meal. Their coffee is strong and smooth—just what you need to start the day right. What really sets Point Loma Cafe apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you’re taken care of. A huge shoutout to Irene, who made our morning absolutely delightful. Irene goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel special. She greeted us with a big smile and checked on us throughout the meal. Her positive energy and attention to detail truly made the experience memorable. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it shows in her service. Irene’s recommendations were spot on, especially the omelet bar, which was incredible. She made sure our coffee cups were always full and even gave us to-go cups without us asking. Little touches like that make a big difference. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and professional. Irene is a true gem and makes the cafe shine even brighter. If you’re in the area and love a great breakfast with top-notch service, don’t miss Point Loma Cafe. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Portion sizes are massive and the food is tasty. Good variety of choice. Gets very busy for breakfast on Saturday after 9.30am. Josh is the best - he always was all smiles and friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our visit.

Excellent service from the start, nice and quiet atmosphere. Parking was easy, food was made in great time, and plate presentation was awesome. Price was very reasonable for California. The staff knows what they are doing and should teach other restaurants in California how customer service is done!!!! Thank you, I will return again.

We ate breakfast (late breakfast) here three times during our short stay in Point Loma. That was in mid December 2023. The food is so good! We had planned to try different places nearby but the food and service was so fantastic that we didn’t stray away until we had to go to Carlsbad. Worth noting, the biscuits and gravy are to die for! We are from Texas and my farmer grandma, (RIP Big Mama) could fry the chicken and bake biscuits and gravy fit for kings and queens. These biscuits and gravy were just as good, omg I can’t wait to get my other knee surgery over with and fly back to San Diego with my son. The biscuits were so fluffy, like clouds. I can’t recall at the moment what else we ate, we ate whatever the lovely waitress recommended, but everything we ate was delicious. And affordable. I just woke up, in a hurry, may add to this later to include what else we ate, my advise would be to ask what the waitresses recommended.

Love this place. It's one of those not so well-known spots in San Diego. It's comfortable as home and the staff is amazing. The food is wonderful. The menu is not very extensive but it is well thought out and the choices are perfect.

For a hotel, I am continually impressed by the quality of the food and the excellent service provided. Carlos did an excellent job and provided friendly service. Most hotel restaurants aren’t very good, but to me this place stands out. Breakfast food is always fresh and served speedy. Always enjoy my breakfast here, even with the higher prices. Thanks again.

Fajita skillet was a nice change from usual ingredients, good sized portion and fresh tasting veggies. Could benefit from a bit more seasoning on the peppers and onions, though steak was pretty good. Recommend the corn muffin if given a bread choice, makes for a tasty "dessert" with butter and honey.

Decided to take our sailor here during our time in San Diego. Irene was our server and did a good job. The meal didn't start off very well, as my order came out before my family's. We all had the breakfast plates and the food was really good. Irene took very good care of us and they had a military discount, which was a plus.

We like to go here bc it is a hidden little spot. This trip I was a little disappointed. They have a new menu and the food didn't seem to be as good. The prices had definitely raised as well. The service here is always great.

Point Loma Cafe is a great little place. Great classic breakfast food without the "gourmet" that is so common nowadays.

Visited around 9:30 am on a Thursday with a party of three, we got seating right away. Staff was friendly and professional. Wait time wasn't too bad. Food was tasty. The space was clean and tidy. We would visit again when we are near the area.

I loved my omelette which I was able to customize. My husband though said his food was cold and he was not impressed. The kids thought their meals were good but not the best they've had. The service was great but it took a long time to order and to receive our breakfast food. This is a mixed bag review.

All American breakfast from pancakes to omelets. Pretty big serving. The staff are very friendly. Open only during breakfast and dinner. Location is a few steps away from the hotel-San Diego Holiday Inn Bayside.

A simple breakfast menu that's hits the spot. The pre-determined omelet options are limited, so it will cost you a dollar per ingredient to customize your own, which was a bummer. It definitely has the hotel-affiliated-restaurant feel to it, but overall satisfied our breakfast craving.

What a nice resturant! The food was great, big portions. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because it was a about 20 minute wait for our food. So dont go in on a 30 minute lunch break. The service was great. The nicest bathroom I have ever seen for a public bathroom. We will be back❤️

Ordered Margherita Pizza, qusedilla, sheperds pie, and meatloaf. Pizza was meh. Quesedilla was large but refried beans on the side were inedible. Shepherd pie was large and was okay. Meatloaf COULD have been great had it not been for being burnt. Who would actually think its okay to serve this? They have good home-made ranch. The atmosphere was nice but the waitress kept leaving the door to the cold outside open. Levi was our server and you could tell he was new but he did a great job.

First time. We ordered the American breakfast and the Baja skillet. The American breakfast was excellent with 4 pieces of bacon, peppers, potatos, fruit, toast and two eggs. The Baja had potatoes, cheese, two scrambled eggs and sour cream. I was hard pressed to find any chorizo or peppers. Check the photos. You can clearly see peppers in the American breakfast. There was maybe two tablespoons of chorizo in the entire plate. I would go back for the American bteskfast or to try something new.

Loved the food. The service was very kind but the wait time was horrific. We got there, they handed us the menus and 20 minutes go by until they ask us what we want to eat. They then took 20-30 more minutes to get the food to us. There wasnt really anyone in there either and staff kept passing by us when we were waiting to be asked what we want to eat. I honestly am always patient but it was ridiculous with the wait time. I got the Acai Bowl and it tasted awesome.

Beginning in 2025, this café has declined. The menu changed drastically, removing fan favorite options and replacing ingredients in the holdover menu items. All prices increased by 35-55%! Hilton going green is probably the only positive thing but nearly everything has changed, smoothies now contain Greek yogurt and gone is the classic strawberry banana smoothie. No breakfast wraps are listed on the menu, no bakery items, etc. Some of the newer ingredients have a bad flavor, order with caution

I like to visit local eateries for breakfast instead of having a typical hotel-style buffet breakfast served at conferences. This was exactly like the breakfast I was trying to avoid. The dining room was clean and staff were friendly. The food was bland and flavorless, but also very expensive compared to other options in the area. 2 scrambled eggs, mushy red potatoes and a muffin was $13 before gratuity. Want a sausage link? $5 more please. I think this place is all about convenience of location.
