Pure Project San Diego Reviews
Love the beer here!!! Never had one I didn't like. Got the Flanders red with cherry and raspberry aged in oak. This is one of my favorite breweries
Pure Project always comes through with perfect execution. Most impressive from our visit today was the Flanders ale called Three Turns of the Sun, insane Flanders that is possibly surpassing Duchesse! Sad that it was a happenstance brew that will never be recreated again. Absolutely loved the peach guava smoothie beer, so smooth and delicious! Velvet Zephyr is an insanely crushable BBA imperial stout, no joke at 13.6%, but too easy to drink! Love coming back here to try all their new recipes. Service is also always on point.
This brewery is very unique and fun to visit. An ode to Costa Rica's, "Pura Vida," has been transformed to," Pura Birra." This is more of an ecological aware brewery, putting emphasis on giving back. The location itself isn't big, but it's goal is, so don't discount it. Very friendly staff and regulars definitely make this brewery a desirable place to visit. It is easy to prove when you walk up and every table is taken and there is a line up to the bar! Worth a visit!
Some of the best beers in the country let alone San Diego. Came here on vacation and stopped in to enjoy a couple beers. Incredible flavor profiles and service was top notch. Cool vibe inside and easy to spend some time while in San Diego especially if brewery hopping like we were. Cheers!
Best place to unwind and enjoy some great beers and seltzers!
Exceptional beers with a wide variety of styles. Their west coast IPA and saison are my favorite. The staffs are very friendly. Stepped in 30 mins before the closing time but still got great service. Highly recommend!
Great brewery putting our delicious beers! One of the best stops on our trip to San Diego. A variety of beer styles on tap that showcase what a great brewery they are.
World class craft beer, seriously some of the best out there. I wish there was more I could take away in cans but the option of grolwers/crowlers is great. It is a super chill place with great service, but definitely cramped and pretty small - had a tough time finding seating with two of us. Also, fairly limited selection for the designated drivers/non-drinkers. Would love if there was a patio/outdoor seating. With all that said - it's worth it for the beer.
Super great local craft brewery. They brew many beer styles and they are all awesome. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. The Miramar location has food trucks on select days.
Hands down best brewery in the area. Their beers were unique and original. Atmosphere was amazing and staff was accommodating and knowledgeable.
Pure project has some unreal choices of craft beer. The place is pretty small but has a comfortable feeling. Service was very good and the employees had very good knowledge about the beers on tap and had me sample some great beers. My favorite was the Hazy IPAS . I will drive pretty far for a good Hazy and the fact this spot is right down the road is great!! 👍 Clouds of Delusion was delicious as was the triple dry hyped hazy!! Very very good beer 🍺
Amazing brewery experience. World class beers, something for everyone. TIPAs and Quads are top notch. Keep an eye out for their limited bottle release.
My favorite brewery in San Diego. Their murky ales are some of the best I have ever had. All of their beer is amazing and constantly changing. Staff is awesome. Wednesday they fill growlers 20% off. Can releases monthly. Check them out if you haven't already. You will not be disappointed.
The Miramar location of Pure Project is nice, if small. There’s usually seating even on the busier nights, though the space is a tad cramped. Love the beer—it’s certainly some of the best in town. The prices here aren’t insane either. Staff is fun, atmosphere is chill, and they’ve got a big rotating selection of inventive brews. Certainly a good stop while visiting Miramar breweries or just hanging out with a couple friends.
Great beer in an awesome small taproom. Showed up early on a Saturday and got busy pretty quick. Mike was great giving me details on all the different brews. Overall a must visit when you're in the San Diego area!
Great beer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If you're looking for a hazy IPA in San Diego this place is in the top 5, maybe top 3 with Modern Times and Mikkeler. But they're not a one trick pony. Their sours , stouts, and barrel aged selections deserve attention. Check this place out. As other reviews have said, this place is tiny. Don't worry, it's still awesome and worth it.
Good place to try out. Loved the beer I had in a flight. The only issue I had was that it had limited seating, but it was worth waiting to find a spot. Good stuff!
Barrel aged stouts (under the Log Cabin name) are absolutely outstanding. Murkshake and Nothing Is Real are close seconds. Really great beers.
Another one of my favorite breweries in San Diego! They are small, but delicious! Check them out online for their special releases. Ample parking
The BEST upcoming micro-brewery in San Diego. A must visit for those in search of GREAT Craft Beers.
Always friendly staff and excellent beers. Company dose lots of good for the environment and use organic ingredients.
Loved the beers here and the exotic names. The staff at the brewery was quite helpful and knowledgeable. I preferred the lighter ones versus the syrupy caramelised ones. Absolutely loved the range here.
Such great service and kind bartenders! Having a beer here is always great cause of the lively atmosphere and delicious beer!
Amazing beer! From Pilsner to hazy, no better in SD! Plus great service, delicious tacos and a date-worthy outdoor patio. Can’t beat this place for a quality beer night out!
Beers are shading on the experimental and may not suit mainstream palates, but almost constantly changing beer menu keeps it interesting. Don't go here for the beer styles everyone else churns out but for something different.
Pure Project has many locations in SD and this is a smaller location with not a lot of room inside but plenty of outdoor room. As with all the PP location there is almost fifty types of yummy beer . I had a flight for $30 which is kind of steep but it is Average for SD. There is just one bathroom and the line can get long.
There are just so many good breweries in the area, and Pure Project is another one of them!! They make really yummy Hazy IPAs, so if that's your jam, then this is a spot that should be on your list.
First off, amazing staff. They are kind, knowledgeable, and funny. Second, the beer is outstanding. Visiting from PDX this was my one request of a place to stop.
One of the coolest breweries ever. This place is small but memorable. The beer is unique and tasty!
Great place, great beer, great people. Their empanadas are really tasty as well :)
My favorite brewery in San Diego. Best beer and staff.
Love it. Beers are all out San Diego style with bright flavors and vibrant colors. Bartenders are knowledgeable and provide top notch service! Lovely place. Will go back.
My favorite local brewery! There's nothing else I need to say!
Davin special thank to you, was pleasant place, friendly crews and awesome beers, will ve back soon♥️🍻
Great space, and even better beer. Their nitro beers are a must-try! And if that's not enough, they are dog friendly. Will return again and again.
Great lil' brewery. Great vibe with some tasty beers!
Some of the best beers in town. Endlessly hazy and some amazing porters. Show up super early for the can release. Opening a new location this year will really help this place!
Not sure how to describe it, but it's pretty awesome here. Go check out the place and sample some of their unique creations!
Very nice establishment, very professional and nice employees. Will recommend to others! Great drinks!
Oktoberfest event is great and so are the beers. The slushy is fantastic and the Oktoberfest steins are really cool
Great place. The hosts are rad, the drinks are excellent 👌.
Great beer, small but sick space.
I have been a regular here for a few years now. The beer variety and quality is the best in San Diego. Now a days I drink almost exclusively Pure Project. I especially love the cast here. Luke, Linden and Devin are absolute gems and always provide top notch Service. They are always so knowledgeable and willing to teach and speak to each brew. Will be coming here for years to come.
This was a wonderful little Brewery, talked back in a small and quiet Industrial Park with a couple of other offerings, Huge selection of a variety of beers and Ales. Nice wood and Greenery interior, very organic feeling, calm and peaceful and friendly atmosphere. People we're very welcoming and had lots of good recommendations for what selections to try. Between the beers and the amazing pastrami pop up guy out front, we spent about an hour and a half there, a very pleasant way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. We will definitely be coming back!
the place is adorable, green and inviting. each beer on the menu was unique and interesting as each had an entirely different flavor profile & as we quickly discovered, had a unique flavor profile, too! the beers were truly delicious (the menu description was not an exaggeration). the bartender, Devon, was really kind and welcoming, knew exactly what to recommend, and made the experience even more enjoyable. I'd recommend the guava & the bourbon beer. the empanadas (beef & corn) were delicious as well
One of the seemingly increasingly rare spots to get an interesting beer! Tucked away in a small, commercial area. It’s not a cool location, but it’s chill! Lots of variety on their menu and empanadas available (at least as of June 2025). A whole range of styles, ABVs, and flavors - definitely something for everyone!
The best brewery in SD right now. All their beers never fail to delight me. The Vienna lager is unbelievable
This place has great beer, one of the best in the area. I also enjoyed some of the food trucks they had. However, they just recently changed to only serve empanadas which was very disappointing. I tried a few different ones and they were not good at all. Please bring back food trucks!
The beer was strong and tasted ok. Not a fan of this location. Tiny but the service is good.
this place came highly recommended and we were pretty excited to come here. It's kind of a cool little spot and it looks really trendy I just wish they served good beer. the best beer that I had here was a Pilsner. I hate pilsners but at least it tasted like a Pilsner.
