Rose Donuts San Diego Reviews
Fantastic! We were served very friendly and the donuts are amazing. Juicy and not too sugary. We'll be back! Love this place. Greetings from Aachen, Germany 🇩🇪🙌🍩😋
The best Donuts in the World. I'm from Switzerland we also have Donuts in Switzerland but it is a difference between 10% 100% for the Rose Donuts in San Diego! whenever I return to san diego I'm going first in the rose donuts! Thank you for the taste experience.
Absolutely delicious 😋 They offer a variety of sandwiches prepared on their house baked croissant, bagel, or bread. I had their croissant & bagel sandwich & it was absolutely satisfying and savory. The croissant was flaky & buttery & their bagels were soft & perfectly toasted. Their home baked donuts are also really good and their Vietnamese Iced coffee & lattes are the perfect ratio of expresso/milk. I also had a cup of their coffee, black,☕️ very smooth and delicious. I have yet to try their ice cream, although it seemed appetizing. Very friendly and quick service, even though there is usually a line out the door we get through it quickly.
Best donuts and croissantwiches in town and for a great price. If you haven't had I recommend. I have going here for 6 years now and they are open 24 hours.
My favorite donut in San Diego. Discovered them in 2019 when they were 24 hours. Best glazed plain donut ever. Big, fluffy and pillowy. Also the break fast sandwiches are amazing
Tastiest desert in town! Visited San Diego for 9 days and frequently stopped by rose's for Vietnamese Iced coffee and many donuts. The chocolate croissant was buttery, flakey and contained the most delicious chocolate morsels. For donuts we loved the glazed, maple bacon, and blueberry. Can taste the decadent flavor and these are definitely homemade with love!
I had a very bad experience with Linda Donuts at 1888 Grand Ave in Pacific Beach. I was pretty jaded by the donut shop experience until I walked into Rose Donuts. The first thing I did was look to see if the inside was clean or not.. check ✔️ Then customer service, quality of product and most importantly.. the satisfaction of customers. After one visit, they have a new customer.
We came here to get 1 donut each but my wife was so impressed she wanted to try a half dozen. A local gave us some recommendations & they were fantastic, we will be back The order we ranked them in was: 1. Maple Bacon 2. Blueberry glazed 3. Apple Fritter 4. Crumble Donut 5. Old Fashioned 6. Chocolate glazed
Great donuts even at 7pm on a Saturday! I was worried the donuts would be stale and dry towards the end of the day, but to my surprise, they were delicious and had a fresh texture! We ordered a glazed, maple bar, and a chocolate crueller bar. Service was fast and friendly. Seating options inside are nice. They offer other pastries/food options and breakfast is served all day! I’ll have to return another day in the morning to see if the donuts taste even better at the beginning of the day. Yum!
I stopped by Rose Donuts and grabbed a mixed dozen, and they did not disappoint! The variety was perfect glazed, raspberry-filled, maple, and chocolate. Each donut was soft, fresh, and full of flavor. The raspberry-filled had just the right balance of tart and sweet, and the glaze was light and melt-in-your-mouth good. Definitely a great local donut spot worth checking out.
Breakfast Sandwich on Croissant, delicious donuts, and Vietnamese Ice Coffee! This place was such a great find! We wanted a quick and affordable breakfast and these sandwiches here are all under $10!! You can get it on Croissant, Bagel, or just regular toast. I recommend the croissant. Super buttery and flaky. The donuts are delicious, the blueberry cake is one of the best I've had. Vietnamese iced coffee was the best way to wash it all down!
Classic little donut shop with great prices, freshly made baked goods when you get there early enough, and tasty breakfast sandwiches! Really can’t go wrong here. The blueberry cake and cinnamon crumble were super light and airy and the country bagel sandwich was great. Couple good things to know….about $20 for a dozen and there’s a .50 surcharge for using a credit card.
We flew into town on a Thursday to prepare for my sister’s wedding on Sunday. I stopped into Rose’s to inquire about 4 dozen donuts for the wedding dessert table. The staff was amazing! Didn’t even flinch at the idea of having 4 dozen glazed donuts ready for 11am pickup on Sunday. They were extremely helpful with picking flavors and recommendations. The shop is very inviting, clean, very efficiently run… even with a line out the door they get everyone served with smiles on their faces and laughter in the air. The smell of donuts, croissants, muffins, and cookies is amazing! Do yourself a favor and also grab a breakfast sandwich. The Country Croissant is so good! We came back twice during our stay in the area. Highly recommend!!
Here was a friend’s suggestion. We went there on Sunday morning around 11 AM there was a long line but it was worth it. We ordered a Breakfast Sandwich 🥪 and a Breakfast 🥐 croissants plus two Donuts 🍩. It was the best donuts I have ever had in San Diego. Sandwiches were fresh and delicious! I saw in reviews some people were saying it is Cash only but they take cards. It will be my go-to breakfast place!
Yummmm! I am a donut lover to the bone, and these didn’t disappoint! So soft, fresh and delicious. The cute diner atmosphere and the sweetest staff ever. Such a great experience. I love the classic pink box, prices were great and what a variety! Drinks bagels sandwiches and croissants! I’m in love
During Our stay in San Diego we stopped and had Thai for dinner, After we walked out of the restaurant we also wanted something sweet and notice this doughnut spot. I ordered in Apple fritter my honey ordered a cream cheese croissant and a chocolate donut. All were fresh and very good. The apple fritter was very big. They also served ice cream and coffee.
Coffee was freshly grinded and brewed. We had apple fritters, Boston creme donut and a cookie. The donuts were very good but the giant cookie was not my favorite. They also have ice cream!
A no frills, old fashioned donut shop that does a very decent job. My wife and I will often each order the Country Breakfast Croissant combo (I prefer the old-fashioned Cake Donut and she the Sugar-Twist) with a cup of coffee. The prompt and friendly service is hallmark. It probably won't knock your socks off, but the taste is just so comforting, that you can't help but wanting to come back again and again. Given how much overall costs have risen in the past few years, the value is still quite competitive, if not better, than going to the common fast-food alternatives that are around. If there was something I could speak to improve, the tables and chairs are often all squeezed together in order to make room for the off-and-on lines to the door of the place with the customers. Some additional time spent organizing or adjusting the seating, along with the more occasional bussing and cleaning in-between customers would certainly improve the atmosphere.
I love the food here but everytime the small elderly lady always overcharges and the prices are so inconsistent. The guy working there is great, so nice, and always charges the actual price. Paid 40 bucks for 2 sandwiches a coffee and a donut
5:00pm in the afternoon and they're the only donuts. They don't make any more until tomorrow at 4:30am , there are still 5 hours left until closing. I can't think of a way to answer. Buy what's available. If I ask for a specific flavor and they can't tell you what time they'll have it, and they still get mad if you don't buy it. The lady who serves is very rude.
