tiger!tiger! San Diego Reviews
I was at an event at the conference center and wanted to find a place Off-site for a business meeting and somewhere with good coffee… Tiger cafe checked both boxes! Service was very friendly and very quick. I was greeted with a warm smile, which at 8am is always a great way to start the day. Inside had four booths and a table , but as it was early, the cafe was still wide open. I ordered my cappuccino with oat milk; it was perfect! This is a great little cafe in downtown San Diego!
Last minute flipped decision to go here and glad we did! My husband had the smoked Salmon bagel and I had the acai bowl, both hit the spot for delicious and fresh! I also tried the Matchata! It was sooo yummy a flavor I haven't had anywhere else! Definitely recommend. I would love to see it still open when we return to San Diego in the future!
Very good coffee, the desserts are amazingly looking. I’ve tried the Dulce de Leche and it is fabulous. Service is great, the place is beautiful, very friendly staff. Highly recommend
This place was such a happy surprise. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their drinks and food. Their coconut latte was incredible, I fear no other latte will ever compare again. My daughter had the iced chai latte, I don’t typically enjoy those but it was actually really good as well. She said it was the best she has had, and that’s typically what she orders everywhere she goes. The food was delicious! I would happily go back and eat the Benedict Sando again and again. The atmosphere was great, everything was clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We didn’t wait long for our food or drinks. I would definitely recommend Tiger Cafe and I will be stopping by anytime I’m in town.
I love the tiger waffle with the poached eggs on the waffle. There was like a candy coating on top of the waffles. You didn't even need syrup. The bacon was good too. My husband had the chicken club sandwich and it was very good. The chicken was moist and it was big. Big pieces of thick chicken, knots, sandwich meat. The place has a cute tiger face mural on the wall. That's colorful and bright. The place was clean. Nice area for seating. Can't seat a lot of people but plenty and there was little outdoor seating. I love the stained glass windows and the big tall doors open on to a busy downtown area. It was just very nice.
Quiet on Wednesday morning at 8:45. Kind barista welcomed me and crafted an excellent chai latte. Simply adorned seating area. Outdoor cafe tables with umbrellas in the shade.
OMGoodness!! What a fantastic treat for breakfast!! We each had a different waffle for breakfast and were both unwilling to share with each other. Too yummy! The cafe is bright and cheerful, also with space outside. Do not miss this gem!!
I wish I could have shared more photos and coffee pictures. The service was friendly and it has a great set up inside with a small outdoor patio. We came in for a quick latte and while looking for another shop ran into this little cafe! Several ladies were eating breakfast and the plates were dished beautifully and looked even more delicious- The lattes hit the spot. And while I had to buy a cup of ice water instead of filling my Stanley. I felt horrible for wasting the cup- instead of having my 32oz Stanley filled. Something to potentially consider- for a city that is conscious on plastics .
What an amazing place. The proprietor was there taking our order and giving fast friendly, greet-you-as-you-enter service. Very accommodating and welcoming! The food was fantastic and the portions considerable. Everything felt like it was made fresh, no pre-made anything here. Food was tasty, presentation was lovely and everything came out fresh and hot. 10/10. Will be back. This was a refreshing and wonderful way to start our day.
Crowded but yummy! Ordered a matcha latte and it was delightful. Glad I didn’t add any additional sweeteners because it was made with the perfect amount (imo). Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy inside. Most of the tables were “reserved” except for the community table in the center. We took our drinks to-go. Service was pretty quick and pleasant. Too small of a space for a good study session, but it might be quieter on a less busy day.
Tiger Cafe is a true gem in San Diego. The ambiance is amazing, warm, stylish, and inviting. Whether you’re catching up with friends or just need a place to focus, it sets the perfect mood. I love studying here, it’s quiet enough to concentrate, but still has a lively, cozy energy that keeps you going. The service is consistently great. The staff are friendly, and they’re just so quick, professional, and incredibly nice. As for the food and drinks, absolutely superb. Every item I’ve tried has been delicious and thoughtfully made. From the espresso to the food, everything hits the mark. Tiger Cafe has definitely become my go-to spot. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chill, high-quality cafe experience in San Diego.
Beautiful cafe on the corner with great food, bright atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee is also great and their prices are fair. I highly recommend the chilaquiles!
This place is so great! Very welcoming environment with delicious food. The baristas are all very warm, attentive, and super friendly. I came here every morning of my San Diego trip for breakfast, and will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend!!
Tiger cafe was a great place to try, I'm really happy we ran out to grab a cup of coffee from this shop, here is why you will too: 1. Coffee is good! The staff did a great job making our drinks. Overall good taste of the coffee and it hit the spot in the morning. 2. Friendly people and really cool atmosphere: I love the feel of this place, it is well designed and it seems like the people who run it really care. Super clean too. 3. Great location, easily accessible if you are staying in a hotel in the surrounding area. We walked over a few blocks and got our drinks in no time. 4. Very fast. There is something about coffee on the west coast that they have right. Making coffee as fast as they do and still having it taste good is remarkable. Definitely professionals here. I would recommend checking this shop out. Feel free to check out my photos to get a sense of the space.

Amazing as always , this place gets very busy. It’s not the ideal sit for long hours on a laptop coffee shop it’s more of a brunch experience. Try their overnight oats and the breakfast burritos and there biscoff drink .The big tables are reserved for groups and bigger orders and laptop workers who like to sit for hours are to sit on the workstation bar in the middle of the cafe. I like the concept and I will be back .
Best customer service I have had in a while. Caring owner and employees. The employees deal with a lot of customers who have up and down mood swings what appreciated the most is the owner stepping in to stop disrespectful customers and not accepting there orders as respect for the customers and the employees. Thanks for always tolerating me working in my laptop and my picky coffee drinking habits .

Ordered a horchata hot and it was excellent. I also ordered the breakfast and it was perfect. The eggs were seasoned to perfection, cheese melted but not burned, turkey bacon cooked to the right temperature, and the bread toasted perfectly. Fresh fruit, not frozen, or pre made. Side of chipotle mayo for the sandwich because I like some spice.

This is a beautiful coffee shop with a friendly staff. When it's busy it takes forever though. I got my drink in 5 minutes but it took my friend almost 12 to get hers and all she ordered was a tea. We'll definitely go back, but we'll try to do it when it's less crowded!
I had an iced mocha with hazelnut cold foam and the hazelnut crunch dessert. As a chocoholic, it was chocolate heaven! Very friendly service as well. Cute environment, but when I came most of the nicer places to sit were reserved. I still found a spot to stay, sip, eat and work and I'm sure theres a reason the other spaces were reserved, just something to be aware of.
Great coffee, apparently they make their own coffee blend as well as with the matcha. Goes to show the quality and effort put into their establishment. With high quality comes high demand so it can take some time of they are busy but well worth it. I quickly became a regular and try to stop by once a month
I recently visited this coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The coffee is excellent—smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or settling in with a latte, it hits the mark. The ambiance is another highlight: cozy, welcoming, and stylish without trying too hard. It's the kind of place where you can catch up with a friend, get some work done, or just relax with a book. Bonus points for the açaí bowls—they're fresh, beautifully presented, and taste as good as they look. A perfect light meal or snack to go with your coffee. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a place with quality drinks, good vibes, and healthy food options. I hope they’ll fix their wall plugs so I can stay longer in this nice coffee shop to do the work
I enjoyed the service, but the chilaquiles were lacking in sauce and were quite dry. The chicken portion was also insufficient. Additionally, the glass I received for water had an unpleasant eggy smell. Is this just a coincidence? Perhaps I’ll give this place another chance
Really like the aesthetic of this cafe so for our last day in downtown, we checked it out. We ordered an Iced Matcha for takeaway. Nice drink! Also looks like some of the restaurant was still underway with upgrades... interested to see how it turns
Nice simple aesthetics that look and feel posh in this cafe Love the aesthetics here. Very nice cafe vibes with the white and green theme. Very calming too Espresso was nice. Costs the tongue nicely with the espresso flavour. Taste did linger a little longer than I would like, but a nice smooth roast Service was great. Very friendly employee and made the drink very quickly A nice spot to get your studying or work done. Very quiet and I came on a rainy day and it’s super quiet and creates a nice mood Great job overall

I had earl grey tea and a mixed berry açaí bowl. The food was decent, but the açaí seems like it’s not made fresh. There were big frozen chunks in my bowl and I had to wait to let it melt out so I’d be able to get my spoon through. Disappointing for the price. Staff was friendly and service was prompt.
