My favorite açaí bowls in downtown. They are consistently served exactly how I order them, without peanut butter. Everything is made fresh and taste delicious. Service is excellent. Price & presentation are better than most to go açaí bowls too…

My old neighborhood coffee shop!! I still stop by every time I'm in town just for the Greek iced coffee. Yes, it's that good. The village breakfast is simple yet so flavorful, it tastes like a Lebanese grandma made it. Mo and staff are always so welcoming!

Food is so great every time, the environment is so cozy and welcoming. Moe even gave us a pup cup for our puppy! 🙌🏾 Would def recommend if you’re ever in the area.

One of the best easy breakfast in town. I like their “Village breakfast” (order twice) & strawberry/banana smoothie, Lebanon’s authentic taste. First time experienced. Awesome! Highly recommended. And price is super reasonable. Come try it!

Loved this place, came in for a quick americano fix but had to stay for a cheese danish and the atmosphere is unmatched. What won me over was that the man making my drink saw the lady that was cleaning the sidewalk and asked her if she wanted a coffee, and the service was quick and efficient. The whole place has great vibes and it’s the cleanest cafe I’ve been to, not that others are not clean but this one is the difference from “picking up” after customers and “deep cleaning” and tidy. Has fans but no apparent AC, not a problem since air circulates well. Will come back on my next free morning with friends.

Cutest little coffee shop and glad I stumbled across it. The gentleman that took our order was super nice and welcoming and my matcha and pastries tasted good as well and will definitely be coming back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I drove 12 miles just to get their iced Greek coffee, and it was absolutely worth it! Perfectly balanced, smooth, and refreshing with that authentic bold flavor you can’t find everywhere. The foam was rich, the coffee was strong but not bitter, and it hit the spot on a warm day. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true taste of Greece in a cup!

Coffee AND breakfast are fantastic here. Their acai bowl and breakfast croissant are extremely yummy. Also, amazing customer service and delightful music.

I love it when when I’m walking around aimlessly in a new location and have a hankering for a good espresso and ask someone where there’s a good cafe and they point right there 10 feet away. Love it! So I go into the cafe and instant good vibes. Chill vibes with a mix of tourists and locals. I saw they had Turkish Coffee and was excited! I ordered that and a croissant. I was happy with what I got because the Turkish coffee was delish. The service was warm and friendly. They serve other food there too. I saw someone eating a sandwich and another having a açaí bowl and wanted to try both.

Awesome little coffee shop with a very friendly owner. We stopped and got a couple muffins and a ham, egg, and cheese croissant with pesto mayo that was off the chain! Owner was very nice and gave our boys each a fresh orange when they asked for them. Nice tables and couches to sit and talk.

Just to be honest, I only got a coffee and a Nutella croissant and they were both delicious, fresh, and made to perfection. Nice coffee spot of you're in the area. Street parking so you may need to park a block or two away unless you get lucky and find a spot right in front. Lots of seating, so do t let the outside fool you. Friendly and professional staff, and very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely come again if I am in the area.

Fair prices for a tasty signature latte. House village coffee was not too sweet yet flavorful. Impressive breakfast sandwich along with the presentation. Cozy seating options + outdoor seating.

A lovely cafe in downtown. The owner/barista was kind and let me try a sample of the Persian iced tea (so refreshing) but I ended up getting the Greek iced coffee (bold, with condensed milk) and I literally drank it so fast, it was very good The inside is clean, decorated, and quiet with lots of seating. Would recommend this cafe!

I've started typing this review several times now and keep deleting because I can't find the right words to describe how amazing this place is. We first visited several days ago and got breakfast - the turkey croissant and acai bowl, the flat white coffee and iced chai tea. Everything was fantastic, the acai bowl was absolutely perfect - the fruit was fresh and ripe, the acai was delicious and the mix of granola honey and peanut butter was so amazing. The croissant was baked to perfection and the pesto sauce was like nothing I've ever tasted before. I had asked for my flat white to be on the sweeter side which Moe happily obliged and it was perfect - sweet but not TOO sweet. We loved this place so much we came back two days later. Moe remembered us, and after we ordered asked if I wanted the flat white sweet again. I had forgotten to ask for the sweet but he remembered. We are not San Diego locals but we will definitely make it a point to return to Village Cafe any time we visit.

Absolutely worth the hype!!!!! I tried my very Turkish coffee and it was DIVINE! I also ordered a lavender coffee to go and a croissant sandwich that tasted heavenly! The service was swift and sweet! Thank you Mustafa, I’ll always think of you fondly.

Moe at the Village Cafe is absolutely amazing. The coffee he makes is consistently excellent, and the breakfast he provides is just as impressive, fresh, delicious, and made with care. What really sets Moe apart is his top notch customer service. He is welcoming, friendly, and truly makes every visit enjoyable. The ambiance inside the cafe is very relaxing and inviting, making it the perfect place to start the day. He also clearly loves the dogs, always giving pup cups, providing treats, and keeping water outside for them. My dog Queen absolutely loves going there. I pass two other coffee shops every morning just to come here, and it is worth it every single time. Highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself.

We visited San Diego for just a few days. One of the highlights was Village Cafe. The coffee was excellent. The food too. But what was most outstanding was the gentleman serving. He made EVERY person entering feel welcome. As we left the city everyone in our group said we wished we had a coffee shop nearby that was as welcoming. Stop by - you won't be disappointed.

I come here every Sunday after yoga and during the week. Warm clean and inviting energy. Plenty of seating and quality service. I am a repeat customer due to the quality of service and effort he puts into remembering my favorite drink. Very consistent and pleasant. If you want true east village energy this is a hidden gem. 💎

Village Cafe has the best Honey Cinnamon Latte in San Diego. We go every weekend on our walks to get one. Moe is the best - he's patient and kind, and makes a great latte.

Stopped in after a flight looking for a quiet spot to sit and have some tea while we waited to check into our hotel. The cafe was nearly empty with maybe five other people there, so we thought it would be a low-key place to decompress. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty unwelcoming from the start. The person working (who I believe is the owner) seemed put off when I went to grab a table while my partner ordered. We quickly learned that the seating we chose wasn't available unless you order food. Which is totally fine as a policy, but the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily hostile given how empty the place was. The tea itself was mid. They do have a vegan sandwich on the menu (hummus-based), which I appreciated seeing, but given the owner's attitude, we didn't bother trying it. Would love to see a vegan protein option beyond just hummus if they're catering to plant-based folks. There was a sense of frustration that we were only ordering drinks. I get that cafes need to make money, but the vibe made it clear we weren't welcome to just... exist there. Genuinely confused by the near-perfect ratings. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but the unfriendly atmosphere made this a hard pass for us. We got a haircut at Super Cuts instead of hanging out here.
