Great affordable omakase option if you’re looking for something fun. Lots of rolls, bento boxes, and much more. On mission street so parking can be hit or miss.

We absolutely LOVED the fish selection. Every piece was delicious and fresh. The fish to rice ratio was fantastic and presentation was on point. The quality did not diminish due to it being packaged to go. Great price of $38 for 10 pieces. We called in our order on a Sunday at 1pm and it was ready within 20 minutes

One of my favorite sushi places in the Bay Area. Super fresh sushi and fantastic service! They also have a unique selection of sushi and special items added to their menu all the time. Incredible variety and super high quality.

Super affordable and delicious sushi joint in SF! They accept reservations so call ahead. Their omakase is $42 for 10 HUGE pieces and the fish is very fresh and high quality. Their tempura is decent and we got ala carte ama ebi (sweet shrimp nigiri), which comes with the fried shrimp heads. Also got the monkfish liver appetizer and tempura udon, which were decent

Their lunch specials are great values, especially the chirashi bowl. They are also one of the few sushi places that serve fresh wasabi as opposed to wasabi paste. The only thing to nitpick here is that they serve the tea extremely hot. It's the kind of hot that somehow only parents can consume safely

Favorite sushi place of all time in SF and maybe In the whole world. The omakase is only $42 dollars and is absolutely to die for. One time I got a otoro piece in the omakase the size of my hand. They pile the uni (not included in omakase) high too.

Super excited that Amami has opened a new location in my neighborhood! The fish here is always fresh and delicious, and the nigiri omakase or chef's choice sashimi sets are very reasonably priced. The seating area is not very large, so expect to wait during peak hours - especially once more people start to find this gem.

Very delicious and fresh sushi. We tried the chef omakase that was served on a plate. Fresh and taste good. Good service too. Highly recommended.

This place is an absolute hidden gem of Mission Street. I went there once on a recommendation of a co-worker, expecting run-of-the-mill sushi... And I couldn't have been more wrong. This place is mind-blowing. The omakase is the best I've ever had outside of Japan, incredibly fresh, and the service is fun and friendly. Every time I'm in San Francisco, I have to stop at Amami because the trip just wouldn't be complete without it!

This is the besssttt omakase I’ve ever had. Generous cuts of fish, perfectly seasoned rice and portions, beautiful presentation and a deep knowledge of everything sushi— from the fresh ginger to the fresh wasabi and the homemade soy sauce. Also cannot beat the price anywhere else. Go and go again!

Really great quality fish and value. Honestly their omakase tasted better than some places that I’ve tried for $200+ . We came in a group of 10 and they were super accommodating. Would recommend their sushi special or omakase. So much better than their San Bruno location!!

Amami is one of the best sushi place I have been to. This is one of the branches and it is just as good! Finally a location in SF and is close to my house!! They just opened so they gave free ice cream, edamame, and double amaebi!! This was bomb!!

Came in by myself and was seated quickly around noon. Got a salmon teriyaki bento box. Amazing quality. Staff were friendly and did not rush me.

This is a quaint little sushi restaurant with super friendly staff and really good food. This is the first time that I ever had raw seafood and I was worried that I wouldn't like it. However, I was greatly surprised and it was delicious. My only negative was that the Wasabi was too mild.

Very fresh sushi and great service. It is located at an inconspicuous block of Mission street with simple decors, but you won't be disappointed with their qualify of food and hospitality.

A sushi place in Mission? We weren't sure about it at first but it was wayy better than we expected. The 10-piece omakase is good value at 42$. Service is good and attentive too.

We went to this restaurant twice. It is a nice place. The sushi and sashimi tasted good. Not as expensive like other Japanese restaurants. Thier omakase special was good as it has 10 different assorted sashimi. Only thing bother was someone smoking in the back of the restaurant and the wind blew the smoke in. We happen to sit near there so we smell the cigarette. The waiter noticed immediately and asked us if we like to move to a different table. That was great.

Really enjoyed the omakase- it came with real wasabi! So good. Also ordered the Hamachi Kama- it wasn’t amazing. I just didn’t want to wait an hour for the grilled Kanpachi Kama.

The sashimi plates were amazing! The portion sizes were the biggest I have ever seen, so you won't stay hungry at all. The fish also tasted fresh and soooo yummy. The baked rolls were a little on the messy side. But they had the best Philadelphia roll I have ever had. Everything was just a little pricier than expected though. Overall, I recommend it. We had some yummy fish carpaccio too served with a truffle oil and ponzu sauce. Very good!

I order the Omakase which was good for $42 but my husband was hungry and wanted a little more than 10 pieces, so he ordered a Deluxe “chef choice” sashimi for $64 and basically their deluxe version was just 1/2 of the plate was cheap common yellowtail & abacore tuna, and the other 1/2 was regular salmon with 2 pieces of thinly slivered salmon belly. No variety at all! Hey if you don’t want to give better fish for Deluxe sashimi then charged more to add them. Don’t use the word “deluxe” when you just use a boat load of mediocre meat with no variety. Looks like “chef’s choice” to them is to get rid of whatever cheap fish they have for the day! 😂
