Asian Art Museum Cafe San Francisco Reviews
January 2024: Grabbed lunch at this cafe in the Asian Art Museum. The banh mi Sandwich was very tasty 😋. Good flavors and ingredients! Very authentic. Shrimp rolls were very tasty too. Would definitely come back again for more delicious food 😁
absolutely crucial part of the work day - lunch time filler upppppp
Offre tutte scelte senza glutine, alcune vegetariane e vegane. Consiglio 100%

Excellent service and excellent food!
Excellent service, my food came out very quickly, a great experience overall. I received excellent service from Karminia, so be sure to ask for her when you visit. The food was delicious.😋😋 10/10
Inside the museum but you can eat here without paying for a ticket, they will give you a sticker to show you’re going to the restaurant. The gluten free banh mi was delicious. Great ratio of pork and pickled veggies and the gluten free baguette was crispy and fluffy but held up well to the filling. So good! My first banh mi in years since being gluten free.
Staff was welcoming and very helpful choosing what to get in our bowls. Always excited to find a 100% gluten free spot as someone with celiac disease. Spacious seating and very clean. Food was tasty, filling and fresh. Highly recommend for a healthy tasty quick meal!
Had the best experience here. Everything is fresh and gluten free - especially the Banh Mi was delicious! Also had great service from Elmar. We will definitely come back when we are in the area!
This location is inside the first floor of the Asian Art Museum, but you don't need a museum ticket to go to the restaurant. Asian Box is reliable for curry rice bowls, salad bowls, vegan options, and healthy lean meals. Get the Asian Street Dust as your seasoning topper. Mmhm. They also have boba. Meals can be for dine in (indoor & outdoor seating) or to go.
Saw the 5 star reviews and have to agree. Come to the museum on first Sunday of the month (free Sunday) just to eat here. Then do some museum stuff, which is also fun.
Food is a great value and our server Elmer was so cheerful and kind.

Came here for lunch before a show at the Orpheum. You don't have the pay to just go to in to eat. Ordered a family meal. It's a good deal $59 4 entrees 2 appetizer rolls 4 cookies Added spicy cucumbers. Everything was good. The sauces for the rolls were a little strange. Yellow and green curries have a kick so not for small kids but we enjoyed them. Seating available. Service was fast. All gender restrooms available.

We eat at museum restaurants on a regular basis. Asian Box had good food and an efficient system for preparing and serving their offerings.

Worst Asian fusion on earth. I’d rather not having lunch next time.
Terrible beverage here, worst of its kind in my life. Too little flavor, and tepid, like low-end hotel room coffee, etc. Smaller than usual size, so it was very overpriced even for SF these days. Rude service, too, from the pretentious cashier. Surprised at the reviews here, but there are some bad ones, too. Corporate dropped the ball. Ironic it's Asian Box at Asian Art Museum when they're so hateful towards certain people. Bad ambience, mediocre selection, terrible beverage, rude service, and most of all, terrible follow-up and dropping the ball by the weird Corporate staff. Makes Asian Art Museum look bad, since it's a mindless corporate drone.
Ended up getting sick after eating here 🤢 and it's in a bad part of town.
long waiting time delivery not good
