Dragon Well is one of my absolute favorites. The food is amazing, and the service is always incredible. Our meals never take more than about 10 minutes to come out, and the servers are consistently friendly. If you’re trying Dragon Well for the first time, I highly recommend the crab wontons, chow mein, and mu shu pork. Their fried rice is also incredible. The portions are very generous, so it’s definitely worth the price.

Incredible gluten free Chinese food! Met the owner and they were so kind and accommodating. Will be back for sure. Great atmosphere for a restaurant as well.

Really good food! I ordered the Tofu and tomato and beef dish, it was amazing! I loved Oyster sauce used in the dish, as well as the VERY flavorful beef! It was so tasty and yummy. I also ordered a small Jasmine rice which they put next to my dish, the sauce and beef go really well with it! Apart from my dish, I also liked how many Gluten Free options this restaurant had (a whole GF menu!). They also provided freshly baked Fortune cookies at the end of my meal.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in SF. Especially love their Chinese chicken salad. It is very refreshing and yummy! The portion is perfect. I also love dragon well beef. Full of chives and green onion. Service was fast and attentive. Fyi they don’t take Apple Pay. Better bring your credit card!

Upscale Chinese food in a pleasant modern restaurant. We had restaurant-made egg rolls, fried calamari, walnut prawns (WOW!!!), Kung Pao fried tofu, and string beans. Everything was tasty, with a friendly and highly attentive staff. The owner came to ask us how everything was. Don't miss this one!

8-11-21: Stopped by for lunch and tried the tea smoked 🦆 and the tofu vegetable stir fry. Both were very tasty. Duck was served with these nice and soft buns. Sauce was pretty good too. Veggie dish was good. No thrills but it was what I wanted! Wasn't very busy because it was a weekday. Outside seating at the parklet was very relaxing. Would definitely come back again for more great food.

We sought out the Dragon Well for their gluten free menu, as it is very difficult to find gluten free Chinese food. They were able to accommodate us without a reservation and we had a lovely time sitting outside on the patio (which is currently the only option - FYI there are heaters) with our group of 7. As we ate family style we order quiet a few of the gluten free options available. Everything was delicious and the waiter and hostess really went above and beyond to extend good service. Would definitely come back 🤗 Ps - spicy does mean spicy so be sure to proceed with that in mind when ordering!

Been here a ton over the years, have yet to have a bad experience. Lunch specials are a great value and the food is always done to perfection.

First time here. Lovely ambiance. Friendly staff. Good food. I was craving seafood fried rice and they didn't have it on the menu but they made it for me, as their "specials." It was good!! I'm not big on fortune cookies, but the ones they have are really good!! And everyone/customers in that restaurant were engaged in a conversation, not on their phones. Will def come back.

Unequivocally the best Chinese food in the Bay Area, and a top restaurant in any category of cuisine. The quality of the food, the attentiveness of the staff and the atmosphere are superb. To top if off, they offer a fantastic selection of wines.

The best to do it. I have been going to dragon well since 2000. Anytime I visit SF, I pop in and always have an amazing meal. Worth a stop if you live in SF, and if you visit and want a clean delicious Chinese food meal. No better place.

Had the best meal here last night, pork fried rice, abc chix, Mongolian beef, spicy shrimp. Everything was fresh, sauces were flavorful, staff were attentive. Overall wonderful dining experience!

Gluten-Free Menu, thank you. We were super happy to find this delicious Chinese spot, that acutally has GF options. First Chinese restaurant we've found that has that, and every dish was great.

I was so excited to find gluten free, battered chicken with their GF ABC Chicken and I wasn't disappointed. It's been so long since I've been able to order something like this and it was delicious. A tad too sweet for me, but the batter was crispy and it had a nice level of spice (I would compare it to sweet chili sauce spice level). The GF Minced Chicken in Lettuce Cups weren't quite as flavorful as others I've had, but still delicious. My husband also enjoyed his non-GF wok prawns.

This place was ok. We were seated promptly and the service was great. The food was just ok. My friend's Wonton Soup was bland. My Hong Kong Noodles were good, although not mind blowing. It was a nice place to get lunch and talk to my friend but I would not recommend it beyond that.

The Kung Pao Chicken was bland & dry. Some of the chicken had a rubbery texture. I also like when bell peppers are mixed in & was disappointed that the only vegetable added to this was thick cut spring onions. Bell peppers would give this dish flavor & texture. I ordered online & picked it up. The service was fast! The order was ready 15 minutes before they projected it to be ready. I appreciated the text notifying me that it was ready so it didn’t get too cold.

High priced for what you get... everything lacked flavor and the only flavor that came through over barringly was onions. Even in the hot and sour soup which I didn't expect. $13 for a few crab wontons that only tasted like onions. $75 meal for two, that left me disappointed. And had to eat outside because we didn't have a vaccination card. The service was nice though. The young Asian waitress was so kind and full of good recommendations. And they did bring us a heat lamp outside. **If you liked this review or thought it was helpful, give it a thumbs up. 👍thanks!

We ordered takeout soup and there was zero broth. When we called the restaurant, we were told the noodles absorb it and usually people order a side of broth - not sure how we would know to do this? Food is good just make sure you pay for extra broth if you order the soup takeout (seems…counter intuitive). We also ordered chicken and vegetables and all we got was broccoli - no carrots mushrooms or anything else that the meals says. This place used to be great and we have been coming for years so disappointed to see this

The food lacked flavor and the service was slow, even though I was the only one in the restaurant at 5pm. I've also never seen pancakes for the mushu pork made this way at a Chinese restaurant. They only gave me 4 of them and they were not typical Chinese pancakes. They reminded me of poorly made flour tortilla. It's expensive for the quality of food you get.
