Jade Cafe San Francisco Reviews
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Everything I've ordered has always been good. I tend to go after a night of drinking and it brings me back to life
For the price and the quality this place is awesome! It's family style with great flavor. They are quick with seating and serving. Don't feel bad if they don't make much conversation when they help you, it won't matter once you get your food 😁 We got the Walnut Shrimp Pork chow main House Fried Rice
Stumbled upon this spot randomly during my trip to SF, and I have to say—their salt and pepper chicken wings might be the best I’ve ever had!
Very delicious chinese food to go. They also make it very fast! Affordable price.👍👍👍
Delicious and quick. Affordable, great prices and specials. I was really torn between the eggplant/chicken dish and the one I ordered. No regrets!

fresh and hot Cantonese style Chinese food. Can find all your classic salt n pepper dishes, wontons, chow fun, chow meins. Amazing prices.
Funky little hole in the wall I've been going to off and on for maybe 30+ years. My food has been excellent each time. They make a Mongolian Chicken that is good and spicy.
Good service. Simple menú. Good portions
Food was great as well as the service and the environment of the restaurant. The portions are big and the price is very reasonable. We ordered the lunch special for two people and we got a lot of food!!!

I stopped by this restaurant after attending a nearby Junkjournal event, looking for a quick bite before heading home. At first, I considered the spot next door (which was completely empty), but this place was packed with families enjoying their meals—always a good sign! I ordered the duck wonton noodle soup. The presentation was on point, and the duck itself was flavorful. However, the broth? A little underwhelming. Nothing that a couple of spoonfuls of soy sauce and chili oil couldn’t fix! Once added, the flavors instantly came to life. I asked if the soup came with vegetables, the waitress said yes, but I only saw two pieces of bok choy. When I ask for vegetables, I mean an array of vegetables. I should’ve been more specific? Service was solid—attentive staff, no complaints there. The restaurant itself, though, could use a bit of upkeep. Would I go out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But for a quick and decent wonton soup when you're already in the area? Sure! 🍜
Jade Cafe I pass this place all the time and wonder what it taste like. There’s usually a homeless guy sleeping in the front but don’t let that stop ya(lol). This place is a hidden Gem. The plates are hefty and flavors are awesomeness. -Crispy Honey walnut prawns: had this dish at other places many times and Jade Cafe gave the biggest serving along with the biggest prawns I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Must try! -Mongolian Beef: not too spicy, beef was ok but the over all flavor was spot on and the plate was hefty. Would definitely come to Jade cafe again.
The food was okay, I’ve had better but maybe don’t go here for delicious food. The price was reasonable too, and the food came quickly. It really felt Chinese restaurant and I felt back at home again 🥲. Toilets were okay and all gender bathroom. Only one toilet though. Either way, I might go again, but at the same time it isn’t the best option for good food. I only went there because I was hungry.
The friendly staff make this restuarant worth going back, while providing a welcoming service. There Chinese menu offers a variety of cultured food to chose from and the plates are served hot!

The food is cheap and comes out fast. I have yet to have a complaint. Excellent place for lunch and affordable meals. Not to mention they cook there vegatables perfectly.

I got the BBQ Pork with Black Bean Cake over rice plate but they served Tofu instead of the back bean cake. I love Tofu and the food was tasty but they might want to give a customer a heads up if they are going to substitute something. Definitely will be back! I also love their fried rice too.
The food is good so far. Beef with rice the problem is there's more rice than beef. The beef sizes are for a baby cat to nibble. I'm basically paying $15 for rice. To give you a more of a visual the green peas are bigger than the beef and there's more vegetables than beef.

Delicious Chinese spot for incredibly cheap but I also have found hairs or literally tiny metal springs in my foods like soups which would be hard to catch if you were slurping down.

Be careful what you order. I got the “beef with tender greens and pan fried noodles”, and it was awful. Noodles were ultra dry and flavorless. The sauce tasted like powdered gravy. It is relatively cheap, but that is the only redeeming quality.

Ordered salt and pepper fried chicken and beef and broccoli oyster sauce beef to go. The chicken was soggy, there was more broccoli than beef with only a little sauce. Which made the dish dry.

While waiting for our EV to charge at a nearby station, we decided to dine at this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The service was lacking, and the staff came across as somewhat rude, possibly due to the fast-paced nature of the restaurant. The food was underwhelming—it didn’t seem as fresh as I had hoped, which affected the overall experience. The price we paid didn’t seem to be worth it in general. On a positive note, the portions were generous, but that alone didn’t make up for the quality. I genuinely wanted to enjoy our meal, but it fell short of expectations. Given that the restaurant has been around “since 1990”, I had higher hopes for authenticity and flavor. I really hope they can improve because the place has potential.
