Lookout San Francisco Reviews
Inexpensive drag Brunch. Well worth the trip and spend that extra money on the amazing Queens. The staff takes good care of everyone and it is a good time. The wings were pretty darn good. Bring cash. There is no atm!
This place is AMAZING!!! I came here to celebrate my 21st and it did NOT disappoint! The queens are GORGEOUS and have such great energy! The atmosphere was fun and intimate, the drinks were good, and the food was even better. I recommend their burrito if you go. This place is genuinely a must see! If your going to SF, add this place to your list!
New to town, everyone was very friendly. Had a great time talking and having 2 Peach Lemonades to die for. Haven't had a drink this good since I was in Georgia. DJ played fun music for a Sunday afternoon. Loud enough to dance and just quiet enough to chat. Come on out and enjoy a Peach Lemonade!
Loved this!!! Been to plenty back home. Tracy Love and the late Bradly Bogart! Miss him dearly. The show here was Awesome!!!
Had a great time, friendly bartenders and cute barbacks!!!! The prices are reasonable and there are good drag shows there sometimes.
Love overlooking Market/16th/Noe on the balcony while enjoying my go-to slushies (pictured). Happy to have met a new friend the other night. Thanks Steven/Stephen for the good drinks!

A mainstay in the Castro with a large balcony that overlooks Market st. Usually great music and sometimes a drag show! They have decent bar food which is a plus when wanting something casual while you also have a drink!
Definitely swing by the Lookout if you are in the Castro. Great music, awesome staff, and delicious bites. Also, it has great views perched up above Market Street.
Love this bar. BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, tone down the scents in the bathroom. Great, clean bathrooms, but there is no reason I should smell like the scent / taste it, after I’ve come out of the bathroom.
We came here for drag brunch. We got seated at the bar but honestly there's no bad seat as they go around the room. The energy during the event is high. They can provide change before and during the show for tipping. Food is good and drinks plentiful.
A fun experience and great staff. I rarely drink alcohol and there are plenty of non-alcoholic beverages the staff serves. The food is always good; try it all. The crowds on Sunday are jubilant and enjoy both the inside and outside experience. It’s the perfect place to LookOut!
An excellent place to have a drink or a beer and meet friends. Pleasant environment, interesting people.
There are lots of new vegan options on the brunch menu!
Went it tonight I wanted to check out the Castro district it was busy like wall to wall crowded, the security guy was nice

Best show! Went for the drag show. Highly recommend checking them out if you are in San Francisco
Very impressed by the friendliness of staff. Only 5$ cover on Friday nights. Decent friendly crowd. Plenty of space for everyone. Balcony is very cozy and warm the radiators on.
The lesbian parade on the Friday of Pride weekend is what brought us here, to hopefully grab a birds eye view of it while having a few beers. Believe it or not, it worked! We ended up with choice seats at the corner outdoor lanai. ATMOSPHERE: The bar takes up the entire second floor of a two level building at the corner of 16th & Market, right where the parade passes. Plus, they have a cool but skinny outdoor lanai with a railing counter and bar stools that is excellent for people-watching. The inside has some good square footage but it still can get cramped. The crowd was a mix. We met all walks of life while here, including a gay-friendly drunk straight girl traveling nurse that wanted to take my gay friend and possibly me home. :-O Thanks anyway, sister lol. They have a full service bar and great music. SERVICE: Though I didn't experience it because all of my beers were purchased for me, my friends returned fairly quickly from the bar, so service was fast despite the busyness. FUN TIP: Something that kept me entertained were the ding dong drivers at the intersection of Market, Noe & 16th. Some drivers on Noe that were headed north would stop for some reason in the middle of Market, thus blocking traffic headed east on Market. HONNNNNNNK and me SMH all afternoon long, lol! OVERALL: Cool vibe & views, great prices, free street entertainment.
Crowded bar with a nice lookout view over Market St in Castro valley. Not great with social distancing, but definitely a busy venue with occasional live performance during festive seasons.

We had so much fun at Lips & Lashes Drag Brunch! I only wish that this venue were more ADA accessible

The lookout is always a fun time. I would give them 5 stars but I have the same issue with them that I have with a few bars in the Castro and that's that I just don't think it and those few others are worth a cover charge at any point of the day.
I'm a 55 year old British flight attendant, that has been to this venue many times over the past 30 years. This evening, I was refused entry by the rude security guy due to my lacking of paper ID. I totally understand the law but the door staff really need to be trained on how to behave. Merry Christmas 🎅
They will judge you. Don’t come here. I donated my pizza and a $2 dollar tip because it didn’t arrive. So I went down to the four seasons for dinner instead
Bouncer at the front wouldn’t let me in because I didn’t have an ID and wouldn’t accept a phone picture and when I went to tell my friends who arrived earlier that I had to leave he screamed at me. Not a pleasant experience or good atmosphere.😢
