Peking Restaurant San Francisco Reviews
Authentic Chinese food. Southeastern style although its name is Peking Restaurant. Service is super good! Worth every penny you paid.
I was satisfied with the sweet n sour chicken and chicken fried rice.
Their fried dumplings taste like NYC fried dumplings. Sooooo good! The sweet and sour chicken is also good and the people are super nice!
Came to this restaurant by change and have since become a regular. Great food, great service, and reasonable prices. Love this place!
Nice place that is in business for a long time and we've been going there often. Good food and friendly personal.
Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the sunset!!! Easy to get a table as they do a lot of takeout. Very friendly service & family oriented. You WON'T be disappointed
Read about this restaurant in a SF gate article. I am a very recent customer and have been 4 times now. The service is great! The food is delicious! We live nearly 50 miles away but the meal is always worth the drive. Love the mushu and the crab & asparagus soup. Yes the restaurant hasn't changed its decor since it opened some 50 years ago. My favorite Chinese restaurant period.
Went here for lunch. The place is quaint, unassuming, and if it weren't for the awning and sign above it, it'd be easy to miss. The menu is huge with a big selection of quite interesting dishes based on different meats: beef, lamb, pork, fish and other seafood, as well as vegetarian options. Service was good with complimentary hot tea. Had the mango beef as well as some dumplings and pot stickers; the appetizers were good, and the mango beef was excellent. I went here around noon, but the place was nearly empty with only one other table being occupied. Good variety of condiments at the table as well: salt, garlic powder, vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil; however, the jars were all quite sticky to the touch and this sticks to your fingers.
Loved this place! Placed an order on the phone and picked up the food within 20 minutes, fresh food and a large menu. Everything was so good, we got the chow mein, sweet and sour pork, and hot and sour soup. They were very friendly and the food was delicious. Will go again!
Love this neighborhood spot! Delicious food, and wonderful service. The owner, Nancy, is pure sunshine, and always welcomes her customers with a warm smile. My favorite dish on the menu is basil chicken - yum!
Just Fantastic. I loved the rice and noodles.

TLDR: solid food at slightly higher prices, decor needs a bit fixing up We got our sweet and sour pork rice plate to go and the total came out to $15.40 which is a bit expensive. They included a sweet and sour soup which was nice. The pork was crispy and the sauce a bit sweet but good. Weirdly I wanted more rice as there was sufficient meat and veg. The interior needs some work with very dirty carpets but there were a bunch of flowers around which brightened it up a bit

Excellent Shanghai breakfast, almost like beening back in Shanghai , salty soy milk, red soy sauce beef noodles, salty rice ball. Weekends only. 11:30 to 3pm. Ask for the Chinese meun not the American meun. Ask the owner if you don't see something on the meun.
I have only done Pick Up or Delivery but all of my experiences have always been great. I will use GrubHub as my connection and they respond quickly each time and the food is great. I specialize items to be heavier on the vegetable side and am always accommodated. The menu is classic with all your favorites listed.

Mom and pop place with some good comfort foods Hot N sour soup - Very good flavor. Dumplings - good Wasabi cold noodles- great flavor Eggplants- yummy but greasy Tan tan noodles - very good Service is slow. Maybe because of CNY eve. Our food took awhile to come out. The lady at the counter did apologize and said they are busy with too many to go orders. We also ordered beers but it never came. We asked the waiter and the lady at the counter multiple times. They acknowledged but forgot as soon as they walked away from our table. It took about 5 friendly reminders before we got to enjoy our beers. The complimentary sesame dumplings desserts were surprisingly good.

One of the worst Chinese I've ever ordered. I ordered many items including seafood combo, Beef and mushroom, Vegetarian tofu and eggplant, and chowmein. It was bland and tasteless, no seasoning on sauce or ingredients at all. Eggplant was decent, chowmein was ok, so 2 stars.

Ordered some indulgent stuff, Vegetable Chow Mein, Pot Stickers, and BBQ Spareribs for just under $30 including tip and after a few bites of each, just going to toss it. Seems to be all frozen big box pre-prepped, very possibly microwaved to hardness (ribs), spaghetti like chow mein with sparse canned mushrooms and an overcooked piece of bok choy. Pot stickers were thin and chewy, very disappointing. First time online food reviewer ... but felt compelled, and a bit cheated.
The food is flavorless and overpriced. Service is near non-existent if you aren't Asian. I regret wasting my time and money here. Couldn't even get my water refilled.
We were there last night (Saturday July 13) for dinner. Arrived at about 6:45 pm. We had been there a few times before and knew that the food is just okay. During the course of our being there only one other party arrived, so the place had only two occupied tables—ours and the other party’s (a couple). Our complaint is that our food took inexcusably loooong to arrive, and the other party had some of their dishes served to them (we had been seated BEFORE them) before ours were brought to us. No explanation or apology for the long wait. Plus, during our visit before last night’s, as I was walking to the restroom, I saw the cook smoking a cigarette, which was dangling over the wok he was stir frying food in: his ash was poised to fall in! Probably won’t be back.
I am not much of a reviewer but this was one of the worst Chinese food meals (or any meal for that matter) I’ve ever had. We ordered egg rolls, potstickers, wantons, sesame chicken, and cashew chicken. Of these, the potstickers and egg rolls were decent. The two entrees both had a foul smell. The sesame chicken was bad mostly because it was mostly breading and had little chicken. The cashew chicken was so bad we couldn’t eat it. Our first reaction was it smelled like a urinal. But we wanted to try it in case we were missing something. We barely got the bite in our mouths before spitting it out. Sorry to say, but I cannot recommend this place.
