Seven Square Taproom San Francisco Reviews
This is the only restaurant instead the Clancy hotel (besides the coffee stand). Menu is small for breakfast and during the day but the quality of food was very good! As was the service! We only had breakfast while staying at hotel. We had the breakfast burrito that was stufffed with eggs, roasted potatoes, cheddar, bacon, avocado and it was served with roasted salsa and house corn chips. It was very filling and can easily be shared for the price of $21. The Clancy Breakfast was a typical American style breakfast for $24.
Excellent dinner at The Clancy’s Seven Square Taproom tonight. Had the Korean wings, fried chicken sandwich, and the salted caramel bundt cake for dessert. Service was on top of things & dinner was flavorful & delicious. Extensive drink menu as well
Had the opportunity to try three items from their menu and they all were yummy! We placed the order to-go, to bring to our room and the food was cooked and placed in the to-go boxes with intention and care. We ordered the Seven Square burger with shoestring fries, the New Zealand lamb lollipops with mint chimichurri and pistachio crumble, and the kids butter pasta. The Seven Square burger was flavorful, the bun was purple and soft and the white cheddar was melty. The burger was also cooked the way we asked, a perfect medium. The New Zealand lamb lollipops were SCRUMPTIOUS! Cooked to perfection and the chimichurri/pistachio accompaniments elevated the flavor to a top tier combination. The kids pasta was a simple butter pasta with parmesan cheese and was a nice big portion. It was a tasty addition as a side for the lamb Overall great food (even to-go) and a really great value! Will order food here again the next time we stay at the Clancy Autograph
Had breakfast dining in after SF run. Awesome size for the burrito (good to share with another person) and loco moco with curry Wagyu steak over rice. Staff was friendly and helpful getting the bill to include the $25 credit from the hotel stay.
Very elegant place to go great, chill, and eat! Good strong drink and great customer service!

Best outdoor dining in San Francisco! Sheltered from the wind, fire pits, heat lamps, clever seating, great ambiance! Phenomenal sauces, delicious and creative flavors, craft cocktails! What more could you ask for? How about a very experienced team with years of great service in this location even before the Clancy opened. Highly recommend the blood orange and burrata bruschetta, lamb & beef meatballs, double smash burger, steak & frites, red velvet cake, and smoked maple old fashion.
Great outdoor space with heat lamps and good service. Food was tasty—recommend the muhammara and the bruschetta. Didn’t appear to have any beers on tap even though a “taproom”, but enjoyed the cocktails we tried. Definitely a league above than the sports bar at the Courtyard by Marriott it replaces!
I am so glad they did the rebranding and redesign of this hotel. It looks much nicer than the Marriott. The taproom and block 9 backyard is the cutest little gem in the neighborhood now. Service was good, nice small plates and drinks, our server was very friendly. Will go back for sure.
Very good restaurant with great food nice service
The food was great and the service from Michael was personal and attentive. He is the best! We had a great time.
As a hotel, this place has a cool vibe. Very chill interiors. It also has several spaces indoors and out that invite conversations while enjoying a cocktail and some food. We were lucky enough to be there on an evening there was some live music - a saxophone - and it made the evening even more special. The Brussels sprouts were amazing! I could have eaten another bowl. Our wine was from the happy hour list and quite good (and reasonably priced). I would recommend SS for a business meeting, co-workers meet up, date night, friends get-together, or any other opportunity to go out for drink and a bite. Will definitely return!

Great food, awesome outdoor lounge / dinning space

We had dinner at Seven Square inside the Clancy Hotel during a recent work trip, mostly for convenience — and overall, it was a solid experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with stylish Mediterranean-inspired touches, giving it a modern and upscale feel. That said, the atmosphere was a bit lacking. There was no music playing, bright lighting, which made the space feel a little lifeless and quiet for a dinner setting. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the food was really good — well-prepared and flavorful. It’s a great option if you’re staying at the hotel and looking for a convenient spot with quality food and great hospitality, though a little background music and dim lighting could go a long way in bringing the space to life.
Usual hotel breakfast restaurant. It met the expectations exactly. Everyone working here was friendly. I have not tried the buffet, but the a la carte menu items were prepared exactly the way that you expect them for a hotel breakfast.

This restaurant and bar is located inside The Clancy Hotel. Modern decor with staff that all knows your name. The hotel doesn't have room service but you can place an order and pick up from the bar which is what I did. I ordered wings and fries that came with a pickle ranch but I didn't taste any pickle which was a bit of a let down. The chicken was dressed but still had a crisp. Overall the meal was pleasant. I'd definitely order again.

The staff is EXCELLENT. The food is also PHENOMENAL. The drink menu is THOUGHTFUL. I’m staying at The Clancy for 8 days, and enjoy this trip so far. However, it’s about time places in SF start acting like SF is a real heavy hitting city that is recognized around the world. Seven Square Taproom needs: 1) Later hours. This place closes at 8:45 PM. 2) Options for payment that reflect the year and city where we are. Get contactless or get Apple Pay. 3) Hotel staff needs more clarity on opening hours. 4) There are 3 photos on Google. I looked at the Google listing two months ago and there were only 3 photos then, too. Same type of situation on Yelp. 5) One or two more options on the menu that are chicken or a salad. Thanks!

Be cautious when visiting this restaurant if you’re staying with the hotel, as there have been instances of tip amounts being adjusted without authorization!! ***Be sure to keep your receipt and verify the amount!!*** Adjusting the tip amount without permission is not only against the law but also undermines trust and reputation.
Takes for ever to get seated even when there are open seats. Food is ok but again takes forever to come out. For their prices they really should have much better service. It speaks negatively of The Clancy to have a subpar establishment in their hotel
Not great food, and the hotel automatically charges you $25 to make it in the restaurant, but the food is mediocre at best. Oh and they close for lunch at 2pm then reopen at 4pm.

I do not recommend anyone to visit this place. I stayed at the hotel and ordered food from here several times. On a couple of occasions, I received a phone call notifying me that the food was ready for pickup, but there was no check to sign next to it. Later, I discovered that the tip had been automatically added on those days. The management explained that it is the hotel's policy to include a tip for an unsigned bill. However, the bill itself was not provided! Furthermore, this policy is not stated on the menu. While they did promise to refund the tip amount, the entire interaction made it seem like the issue was my fault. It appeared that their bartender, along with a manager, were involved in some questionable practices regarding gratuity.
Super overpriced. They basically try to make you eat there by charging you an extra $25 a day and giving you a $25 credit for the restaurant. Their menu didn't have many options. I ordered a burger, fries, (which were pretty mediocre) and a root beer. With tax and tip it was $47. They charged $5 for a fountain root beer (the glass was about 8oz) then charged another $5 for a refill. Also got a couple appetizers on another visit. I had to throw one away it was so bad. The menu also didn't very accurately describe it
