Beautiful family owned restaurant with authentic dishes. In particular the kale chaat, daal, garlic naan, momos and paneer tikka masala were amazing. The service is great and reminds you of being treated like family. Highly recommend!!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food is incredible, especially the chili chicken momo—so delicious and flavorful. My friend took me here, and I’m so glad she did. The cozy, warm atmosphere makes it even better

The combination of cultural food here is great. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had combined with some unique items from Nepal such as dumplings that seem similar to something you would find at a dim sum restaurant. Overall, the food was outstanding, including high quality sag lamb and great naan bread too. This is a family restaurant and clearly the people running it care very deeply about providing great service and great food. Prices are very reasonable too. We had an appetizer, two main courses, and one drink each for a total of $68 before tip.

I was raining outside and I came here with my friend here to try chilli veg. momo and steamed chicken mimo which were beyond of my imagination. The interior was really authentic and gives the real vibes of Nepal. I met with Lakshmi Dd, the owner of the restaurant, she is really nice. She shared her life story and invited us for the dinner too. It was really an amazing experience with Sewa. They did their job as their name. Really recommended to all the folks!

The restaurant is in the Richmond Area of SF - between 9th and 10th Avenues. You can easily walk/pass the restaurant - there's no frontal or sidewalk signage. Once inside the restaurant it's quiet. The waiter supplied superb service - wanting to please, ensuring your meal is perfect, proud of its dishes, friendly and outgoing. Since these countries are know for their lambs and goats, we ordered a dish of each plus complementing it with side dishes; calamari pakora and chicken tikka masala momo. All were served with just the amount of spices. The main dishes - the sauce was thick and delicious, especially the apricot lamb. Normally, other restaurants that I ate at, their sauces where thinly thick with oil seen. I would definitely recommend any of the apricot dishes. You won't be disappointed. The chicken tikka masala momo is enough as a full meal. It taste better with rice. Calamari pakora I did not like. Somehow it was not what I expected. There were two types of Indian desserts; almond kheer and gulam jamun. Almond kheer is usually made with almonds, sugar, saffron, cardamoms and whole milk. Somehow, I did not taste all the ingredients. It was lacking something and wasn't flavorful. It was like an ordinary rice pudding. Gulam jamun was not soaked nor soggy as other restaurants. It was just right to compliment my meal. It comes with three balls.

Me and my family have visited many Indian and Nepalese restaurants, but none have surpassed the experience we had at this one. The food was simply outstanding, presented with impeccable attention to detail. The restaurant's interior exuded a serene and beautiful atmosphere, making the overall dining experience better. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a good and yummy dining experience.

Came here for an early dinner and we’re seated promptly. Samosa was good. Butter naan was one of the better ones we’ve had recently. Daal and chicken tikka were also very good. Tandoori chicken was standard. Lamb kebab was a bit dry for me but paired well with the house made yogurt. The rice pudding was not too sweet but spiced well.

Brilliant spot for dinner. A little heat, a little sweet, a lot of spice and flavors just right. This spot has it all. The service was attentive, professional and informative. Ordered the momo (dumplings) and they were amazing! The matter paneer and the apricot chicken had a great balance of spice. Rice and naan rounded out a perfect meal. Go. Enjoy. 100% would go back.

I ordered delivery from this place and was quite pleased. The chicken tikka momo was delicious, with a mild and creamy sauce that complemented the flavor perfectly. The chili chicken was good, but the vegetable chowmein was a bit bland for my taste. However, the portion sizes were generous and satisfying.

Been to this place while roaming around the city. I have been to many places and cities around the world and been to some fantastic curry serving places. Being in the vicinity of China town I adopted to visit this place. Ordered some familiar items and wasn't disappointed with the servings, service and taste. Good ambiance , hygiene was maintained and staff attended was prompt.

Excellent food with great service is the theme here. Best of all the portions were generous and enough to bring home for tomorrow's meal or to share with your spouse or friend.

Perfect dinner! We were a party of three, sharing two entrees (chicken vindaloo and a vegetarian dal), along with rice and naan. Both entrees were delicious, authentic, perfectly spiced. I am just a visitor to SF and should try out many restaurants, but I am tempted to return. We dined on a Friday night at 6, and had no problem getting a table without a reservation. Highly recommend!

I will definitely be coming back here. I got the Korma and it was fabulous, creamy and delicious. The naan was GORGEOUS I should have taken a picture. Perfectly fluffy and slightly crispy around the sides. Mmm. The best part is the service is 10/10 and they give you rice pudding at the end! Such a sweet spot. Highly recommend.

Wow! Sewa gets 5-stars across the board. The service is impeccable. I very much appreciate the little freebies (papadam and desert bite). I order the saag paneer. I’ve never seen gluten free naan on a menu and it is super tasty. I recommend the pesto gf naan :)

There’s no better Indian restaurant on Clement St. The service is absolutely incredible—every staff member is polite and friendly, and the ambiance is great. Now for the most important part: the food. All I’m going to say is that the quality truly reflects the 4.9 stars on Google. The prices are great as well. Please try this place.

We happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is very clean, with soft lighting and good music. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. It was a rainy day, and the inside of the restaurant felt warm and cozy. The service was just right—friendly without being overly attentive or interrupting diners’ conversations. They offer a good selection of vegetarian dishes, and the complimentary appetizer and after-meal dessert were a nice touch. We will definitely be back!

Great service and delicious food. Naan is especially tasty. Not too dense. We also ordered the chicken tikka masala and momos, both excellent. We brought our 1 year old and our server was very friendly and accommodating. Will be back to try other dishes!

We truly loved this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service was attentive and warm. We tried both Indian and Nepalese dishes, and every item exceeded expectations. The thukpa, momos, and chow mein were full of flavor, and the paneer tikka masala was rich and perfectly balanced. The naan deserves special recognition, easily the best in the entire Bay Area. To finish, the kheer took the crown as a memorable dessert. Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience that we would gladly return to and recommend.

It was a wonderful treat for my visiting parents. The food was amazing, and the service was so accommodating. They were very kind and patient with my parents' questions and they were extremely attentive. I haven't experienced that kind of care in years. They said that it was a very special visit made all the more memorable by the very special meal. Also, that was hands down the best naan I've ever had. I want to starve myself the day before coming here so I can fill up on it We are also not usually big on lamb, but that was the most tender, buttery, delicious lamb I ever had
