Smish Smash San Francisco Reviews
One of the best smash burgers I’ve ever had. This is certainly a place you don’t want to skip if you’re hungry and in the area. The price may cause you to hesitate, but is definitely one of those places where you get what you pay for and then some. I went for the Pastrami Burger special and my wife chose the Signature burger. She does have a gluten allergy, so it would have been nice if they had a lettuce wrap or gluten free bun option, but even bunless, she was happy with it. We will be back often.
Everything about the place was excellent. The lace on the patty was so good that it was almost overwhelming. The food court itself makes for a very safe and clean feeling space to eat, especially considering how close it is to a rough part of town. This is a wonderful option for a high quality meal. I would definitely recommend it.
Their burgers are amazing! We got the OG burger and the cheeseboiga. Fries were thin and crispy - so yummy. It’s inside a food hall so the atmosphere isn’t the best but you are able to sit down and eat. I’d go again
The best smash burgers anywhere. Make sure you try the specials, because I had the best fish sandwich, a "Fish-Mac" ever from anywhere that doesn't specialize in seafood. After going regularly I still can't tell you my normal order. And the fries are some of the best in SF.
This has long been my favorite smash burger from the early days when they were just doing pop-ups in Alameda and Oakland. I live in WA no but made sure to eat here while I was in town. Lives up to my memory, but gets made even faster than I remember. 10/10, will always be here when I’m in town. Nowhere else I’ve eaten compares.
I only had the curly fries, but they were crisp and tasty, perfect with a beer. Service was friendly and efficient. The space is clean and modern.
Amazing smash burger and fries. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Wow, this place is legit. Nicely smashed patties with a real crispy skirt. Fluffy, squishy bun. Just the right amount of toppings. Super flavorful. The shoestring fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned (they're cooked in tallow!) Definitely an A-tier smash burger.
Hands down, the best smash burger in the Bay Area!! They’re really raising the bar here. You can tell they really care about the quality of ingredients and food. The burgers are perfectly seasoned, juicy, and have these crunchy, lacy edges. Fries are fried in beef tallow instead of bad, cheap oils. The sauces and burgers are thought out without being overly fussy. They got classics and unique options. Fairly priced. Only downside is that they have one location lol! Can’t wait for more. And Saluhall is a nice atmosphere. You can park in the garage on Stevenson and they validate parking for the first hour if you spend $15+.
One of the best burgers in the city. Perfectly thin with crispy lace. Agree with other reviewers that service can be quite slow, but these burgers are absolutely worth it! Fries are also top notch.
Saluhall itself has so much potential. Smish Smash has the no non-sense smashed burger. Well made and stacked, it’s oozy in all the right places. Easy to get to, fast service, clean area to dine in. Highly endorese
Super thin n crispy smashed burger. Great flavor and fries were great too! Location isnt very good. Bad area of town. But was really good and clean.
Best smash burger in the city IMO! Better than Maillards. The fries are also SO gooood
Best smash burger in the city. Period. Start with just the classic - and then start trying all their different twists on a smash burger. I'm so glad they have a physical location now!

Delicious, good portions and wonderful customer service. Jazzmine’s customer service is unparalleled!

Good burger. Smash burger. Thin patty. Good granular taste. Having said that would prefer the burger place next door.

Despite their amazing (over priced) smash burger their service is all over the place. There wasn’t even fries (frozen) which is extremely disappointing. The venue is definitely loosing its flair, there is no longer bars and they seem to be closer to closing than opening. Feels like their best days are past them.

This place is so disappointing because it could be so great. The burgers are excellent. Thin, lacey smashburgers. The service is really slow, but more than that - this place is very frequently unexpectedly closed. I can't really count on it being a regular lunch/dinner spot that I go to often because they have unplanned closures constantly. I feel bad for the employees because they are clearly very understaffed. I hope to update this review when this business has a more consistent experience to reflect the consistently great food.

Randomly closed on a Sunday at 12:30 despite their posted hours, no notice or message. No idea if this is any good but why bother. They have Instagram so there's no excuse. Amateur behavior.
Super slow service. It is incredible how slow these people work. Not to say that many times they decide to close early (before 8.30pm on weekdays). And no, it is not because they run out of food, is because their staff are unmanaged and take advantage of that. Hope this review helps the owner to see what is going on at this location to push a bit for better service. Otherwise , fix the closing hours. Food is good. A bit pricy for a burger.
I love their burgers but the service is incredibly slow, it seems like they purposely work slowly to create a line for marketing. There is only on person taking orders and sometimes they would just go refill the ketchup or the utensils while the line is extremely long and there is clearly enough ketchup and utensils. Weird management style or lack of management all together.
Can’t believe they are getting away with their prices. Service slow and they don’t care about their customers.
