The food here is absolutely fantastic. Flavors are off the charts! Everything comes out very quickly as well. Drinks are well made and well balanced. The only downside was the dessert - not nearly as good as it looks! Overall though an excellent meal at a very reasonable price AND all food is completely **gluten free** (not drinks though). I STRONGLY recommend Stoa! We will definitely be back!

Not nearly enough talk about their 100% gluten & dairy-free menu! So refreshing to not have to ask for a separate menu. And the food is 10/10 delicious. Great vibe for a date night but equally so for friend shared plates dinner!

When we saw that Stoa finally opened today we had to stop by to check it out. The menu is simple but elegant ensuring quick service at the bar without missing on the quality of the food or cocktails. You wouldn’t have believed they opened today - they already seem to be running like a well oiled machine. The atmosphere was vibrant but easy to have a conversation despite how busy it was and seats turned very quickly. We’re so happy to have this place in our neighborhood and were planning our next stop back as we walked out the door.

Lower Haight rejoice! STOA has arrived! Maybe the one thing this awesome neighborhood stretch was missing was a top-notch cocktail bar, and now it’s got it. The cocktails are phenomenal, the food is the kind of flavorful that makes your eyebrows raise involuntarily, and the staff is exceptional: friendly, passionate, and clearly as excited for the bar to be open as we are. The atmosphere is dimly lit and cozy, with a gigantic stretch of bar and additional seating along the perimeter of the space, all nestled amidst floor-to-ceiling columns reminiscent of the bar’s namesake: the Greek architectural stoas. The entire menu is phenomenal. Order with wild abandon.

We were SO excited to finally see this new concept by the folks that brought us Nopa open up! Super friendly and attentive service by Max. We tried several cocktails and food items; standouts were the Summit cocktail, the chicken wings (very interesting Thai flavor!!), and the tuna tostada. Can’t wait to come back again :)

Great new cocktail bar with interesting drinks, amazingly friendly and attentive staff. Within 3 minutes of walking up to the bar, I had been asked if I needed help 3 times. Very refreshing in a busy place! Good vibes - will come again to try the food. Menu seemed really interesting.

Very cool place, has an amazing atmosphere. It's mainly a cocktail bar but they do have beers by the can/bottle. I tried "The Castaway" cocktail and it was delicious hence I'm not a cocktail person. If you ever decide to go be sure to hang out at the bar at the end and ask for Max the bartender.

Really great food menu! We were actually so-so on the drinks, but warrants another try. The drinks were fairly straightforward and paired much better with the food than standalone. Low-octane: Castaway - not that offensive but it didn't make me like sherry. Lean&mean: Mad Artist - really strong tasting, not that much to balance it. HOWEVER, the food was a highlight! Favs were the cumin tofu tacos and devil egg. The tacos were so flavorful especially with the green hummus, and really tasty homemade tortilla. The devil egg is a must-order, instead of boring mayo it's a really fragrant chili crisp/ salsa macha. We'll definitely come back for dinner and maybe try some other drinks!

Incredible ambience, delicious drinks and I don't even like cocktails normally, even more delicious food on a menu that often changes to highlight seasonal flavors. (please bring back chicken and waffle though, that was my favourite). Owners are the nicest people I've talked to.

Cool place for an evening hangout. Their cocktails are really good and the staff is really friendly and makes great craft cocktails. We tried the lamb belly tacos and the miso onion dip-both were amazing!! Must try spot for a cool hangout with great cocktails.

Pricy cocktails but they always hit the spot. I’ve had appetizers before that are also fantastic. I believe it’s first come first serve which makes it harder for a large group.

A big yuppie Yes. High quality, 3-ingredient cocktails that are well made by a knowledgeable staff. They have a nice back bar. This is a hub for locals and is often busy. I had to wait about 10 minutes for a place to sit. Not only is this place popular, but it was a well-received opening. The bartenders are suave and know their product. Recommended if in the area, bring your tourist friends here

I loved the atmosphere. Hip, buzzy but not too noisy or crazy. If you get a table, you order your drinks at the register and they bring them to you, which is a great system that works well even when crowded. The problem is the drinks though. I found them flat and boring. 3 ingredient cocktails is an interesting concept but it feels like a gimmick.

Came here on day 3 after they opened with other locals from the neighborhood. They extended the bar and seating area. There was music playing but not as loud compared to the previous incarnations of this spot. The brined peanuts and spicy seeds were great bar nibbles. Ordered the poke tostada after we had a drink (or two). I started with the mezcal Paloma which is great if you like mezcal. It was a particularly hot day for SF so I got a Summit, gin drink, which was a bit more refreshing. A friend ordered the Sunshine Fix and the Raven or Katana.

A bit expensive for some pretty regular cocktails but the atmosphere is great.

Trendy corner pub & restaurant with a nice ambience and tons of seating both indoor and outdoor. Very popular at night, so it gets crowded and then it can become loud. But otherwise it's easy to have a conversation. Has a reasonable food selection and offers gluten-free and dairy-free options.

I heard about their drinks in an article and it’s a block away from me… had high hopes despite a flat interior which was the main reasons I didn’t stop in so far. They serve balanced, minimalist, and well prepared drinks. We were however greeted by unfriendly energy you might expect at a dive … rushing u to close an hour before they actually close, irritated at questions about the menu concept, flipflop answers about patio heaters, too bro-y and brazen for actual customer service that somehow feels deserved at $20 a cocktail. This won’t be my new neighborhood spot.

Delicious porridge, but after ordering 7 plates between 3 people we were asked to vacate a table because we weren’t ordering drinks or anymore food. Yes we were done with the food, but the table next to us was nursing the same drinks for the same hour that we were there for. Not sure I’ll be back.

They do not have olives and will not make you a dirty martini, their Panna Cotta is actually just chocolate pudding (nobody dislikes pudding just call it pudding), and they charge $17 for drinks without a garnish. No thanks
