Sushi Zone San Francisco Reviews
I can say this is one of the best sushi in the city. The service is attentive. Food quality is good and sushi rolls impress me. We mentioned we love Sashimi and they made it special for the snow fish instead of touching with flame.
Late night dinner. Decided to try this place and I fell in love with it! We sat at the booth and was greeted immediately! Ordered Miso soup as an appetizer and I ordered to different type of rolls. Which were the Hawaiian Roll #1 and the New York. Miso soup was served literally 8 minutes after I had placed it. Rolls did take about an hour to serve. However, it was worth the wait they were presented perfectly and had an awesome fresh taste. Best sushi in San Francisco I have ever tried before. The waitress apologized for wait on the food but explained that there was only one chef. But wow was it worth the wait!!
This is a relatively nice sushi restaurant that is only a couple of minutes away from me. I wonder why I never noticed it before. The food was perfectly prepared and my waiter was very nice. And the ambiance of the place was amazing.
A must try sushi restaurant when you visit San Francisco! Baked Bass is a must try dish when you visit this restaurant! The atmosphere is also really great and if you want cozy vibe, the outdoor parklet is for you!
Love love love this place! by far my fav sushi spot in sf and never misses, sushi is always fresh and ive never been disappointed. Highly recommend the stuffed jalapeño and the baked bass as well!!
They now take credit cards!!! And reservations! Same great quality fish, expanded menu and the service is even better. I would argue that this might be some of the best sushi rice in the city.
Food is so fresh. The best experience I ever had. One of the best sushi I ever had in SF in 5 months. Thank you
Sushi Zone is one of my favorite sushi places in San Francisco! The owners are so friendly and the food is absolutely superb! I have waited for over an hour to eat here on multiple occasions; it is definitely worth the wait!
We have been coming to Sushi Zone since 2009. It is lovely- incredible food, cute small restaurant, open kitchen. We love their sushi, but their warm dishes- the baked bass, salmon Kama and hamachi Kama are not to be missed. We will be back and highly recommend Sushi Zone!
Really delicious and fresh sushi. The stuffed mushroom appetizer and the mango sushi were highlights. The staff were very hospitable.
very small place with a very small menu. come here if you know what you like and are looking for basic rolls and basic nigiri. do not come here if you are expecting a fancy experience or a ton of options. not good for large parties, very good for small parties.
Warm cozy place and fresh sushi 🍣 Variety of choice but those spicy maki are outstanding. Spicy Hamachi maki and spicy scallop, baked bass is a must.
For sure!!! The best sushi in San Francisco!!! Fresh and tasty! Looks like a simply place and it’s the opposite!
Great quality sashimi and big portions at an affordable price. What's not to like?! The wait can be long though, so plan accordingly.

Great quality sashimi and big portions at an affordable price. What's not to like?! The wait can be long though, so plan accordingly.
The fish was so fresh and the portions were generous. The sea bass mango appetizer was amazing. Service very attentive. I was a regular customer before I moved away years ago, I always come back- I love the Hawaii roll, haven’t found an equivalent anywhere. This is the first time I’ve eaten here since the ownership change- it was still excellent, if just small differences(for example less mayo on Hawaii roll- which was fine). The booths they used to have are gone- my only critique is that the chairs are not very comfortable. Otherwise still worth a return visit.
Small place. The fish is so fresh and delicious. They don't use a lot of sauces like some other places because they do such a great job of quality fish and interesting ingredients.
Most amazing sushi in SF, feels exactly like Tokyo! High quality service and incredible quality fish at incredible prices. Love this place.

Sushi Zome boasts a wonderful ambiance and exceptional service. The food quality varies based on the sushi rolls ordered—I've been there with friends, some rolls were outstanding while others were more average. Overall, the experience was enjoyable due to the great atmosphere and service, despite the varying quality of dishes.

The sushi was wonderfully presented and it was clear the chef was extremely skilled. However, they need more than one chef for the size of their clientele. It was 1.5 hours before I was seated and another 45mins before I was served. If they aren’t in the place to hire a second chef, then perhaps installing a sushi train would be better
A little bit too expensive for being so crowded at openings and only accept cash, a couple of years ago was better I thought. The rolls we're excellent, but just it

Was really disappointed by the fish quality :( We saw the tuna set on google photos and thought it looked really good! But upon ordering it was absolutely nowhere near the quality shown in their photo. The tuna also didn't taste fresh and didn't have a good texture, and was also pretty expensive so we were disappointed. The baked mussels were good though! And the server was kind and attentive, but we wanted good sushi, so we probably won't be back.
