Frequently asked questions about Sweetgreen
Sweetgreen San Francisco Reviews
This place was absolutely amazing. The food was great and then employees were incredible. It was very easy to ask questions and to get a gluten-free meal. My first salad was so good that I went for a walk and then came back and got another one to take back to my hotel for dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will absolutely go back again if in the area.
I was downtown just tooling around with Pergoinious Haggstaller, the ex Tuba player for the Guerneville Rockettes Marching Band. Pergoinious was literally drummed out by the entire percussion section because he decided to get a flat top haircut instead of the mullet like the rest of them! We celebrated his freedom downtown with a deliciously amazing lunch at his favorite place...Sweetgreen! Always a 5 star experience! ☆☆☆☆☆
I come here at least 3 times a week for lunch, mobile ordering my food every time and every time my order is completed a bit earlier and perfect every time. The staff here, especially Judith, who I see frequently are super kind, efficient, and friendly. I have never had a bad meal or experience at this Sweetgreen.
This is one of the best fast casual restaurants in the city. I order from here whenever I want to detox or just get a super healthy meal. A customized shroomami bowl is my go-to. I like to replace the kale, cabbage, and almonds with arugula, spicy broccoli, and cilantro, and I omit the dressing. The result is a bowl packed full of greens and no less flavour for the win.
Perfect location for healthy and quick work lunch! Hours are inconsistent so sometime we go on the weekends and they are closed :( Sometimes they run out of bread which is okay. Vibe, location and environment is great. I recommend the crispy rice bowl salad and the harvest protein bowl. I like it better when I order in person instead of on the app. Feel like they give you more food that way.
Absolutely loved my guacamole greens salad with spinach and portobello mushrooms and dressing on the side. I actually didn’t need to use the salad dressing as it had so much natural flavor. Service was great too. And great decor inside this restaurant, as well as many sustainable elements.
Waited 30 minutes in line and honestly the earthy atmosphere is what attracts the crowd. There's vast selection of salad-similarly with what you see in a Chipotle establishment. The step seating arrangement looked very unique especially if you want salad dressing to land ontop of the person below you. Would wait in line again just to be a part of something.
Sweetgreen gets kind of a bad rap for its prices, which is fair, however the food itself is pretty solid man. Can’t lie. Got a hot honey chicken bowl with sweet potato, blackened chicken, quinoa, and some veggies. They gave a lot of chicken and it was tender and seasoned, the sweet potatoes were made perfectly, and the rest of the bowl was solid. Sauces were good too. It was yummy. Now was it worth $18… that’s debatable lol(I had a coupon that made it $10, which is 100% worth it) It’s high quality food in downtown sf, it is what it is. But it’s good. Service is kinda spotty.
Went here on Monday lunch hour rush time and that is generally a good test for an outlet like sweetgreen. Not very impressed with how they were handling it. The place was a bit messy and they were handling food with a lot of rush. The take out container was already leaking by the time I got it. I took hot honey chicken but there was nothing hot about it. I don't know if they just missed any hot sauce. Irrespective of that food was actually good. If you want to have a great tasting healthy meal, this place is not a bad option.
Family lunch, 2 adults+2 kids. Ordered 3 salads, so we could split one of them among the 2 kids. We were offered an extra container to help split the food. We were offered a complimentary bowl with some fruit for the kids. Nice detail! The salads were good, large portions, though the key ingredient in each salad was scarce, especially the avocado and chicken. Staff was friendly. The place was clean and mostly empty, so it was easy to find a place to sit (7 tables in total), and the sitting stairs (which have plenty of outlets to connect your device)
I’ve noticed the portions at this location have been getting smaller over time, especially the kale and rice portion. When I asked about it, I was told it’s the standard size (the staff was not nice about it) now, which was disappointing. I ended up having to spend more just to get the portion back to what it used to be (still less than what I always get at the store on Folsom st). I love the fresh ingredients, but this change makes it harder to justify the price.
Horrible customer service. Including the manager. I ordered a $35 chicken pesto bowl that came with no chicken or pesto. So I then drove 20 plus mins to get what I paid for. The person yelled at me and accused me of taking the chicken and pesto out because she knows she made it right. Instead of showing empathy, the manager agreed with her and told me I was in the wrong. Never been treated so poorly and won’t be coming back to this location and will tell my coworkers the same
May 5th, 2022 edit: These two salads here are $30. No thank you - if you can’t tell from the pics, these bowls were half full (at best) A messed up online order in every 3-4 orders should NOT be the experience you aim for your customers..just sayin’. Otherwise I do enjoy the bowls and salads a lot
