Hands down, my favourite cafe & local lunch spot. Patricia, the owner, is bilingual (Spanish/English) and greets each customer with a smile and a quiet attentiveness. So much so; this cafe has become s u c h a *favourite* for friends and family members that when visiting SF, they all always ask to go back to “THE Cafe”, instead of trying somewhere new. I live locally and will always find a reason to enjoy a fresh OJ, mango juice, blueberry streusel muffin, or an “el sunset” bagel; all of which are well under $10 and therefore a STEAL in SF- tip them well!

We were on our way to a state park and grabbed some bagels and coffee to-go before our drive. Staff were attentive and kind, prices were excellent, and the menu selection was great for everyone to get something good. Favorite was the egg and cheese with ham!

El Cafe is a quaint little spot to grab a coffee. Parking can be tricky, but that’s par for the course in the SF area. The coffee and food items are quite solid. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in the area!

Love the food, coffee, and music was delightful and cheerful, awesome place to take a break and rest! I had a house made sun-dried tomato cream cheese bagel with a large coffee while taking a break from work- it was great! Came back here in April 2025, sunny afternoon, had a quick lunch with a Yummy Salami sandwich and a cup of coffee- delicious and recommend!

Neat little cafe near McCopin park- has a good lox bagel, and the mushroom lattée is quite interesting!

It was quite a wait to receive my order but man, that Nutella toast was worth the wait. The Strawberry & Banana smoothie was also enjoyable. I recommend 👍

If you’re looking for a frappe that tastes more like coffee vs a sugary shake, this is it. Ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese which was simple yet sweet, creamy and delicious. Needless to say, I’ll be back.

Was craving paninis and salad and found this small cafe. It is located on the corner of taraval and 24th ave. I called in a house salad, turkey club and parkside. Their menu isn't huge, but they cover the important items. The food was ready fairly quickly. The paninis were fresh and hot. I loved the house salad. It was well mixed and tasted really fresh. It was a great place for lunch. Since visiting, I've come back a few times and there's always a handful of people hanging out here. The food is really good and I love how their salad is so fresh and has such a variety of items in it. They also serve breakfast items which seem just as good.

We ordered a Panini, and it was amazingly good, and personally the best sandwich I have ever tasted in the Bay Area.

A cheerful friendly cafe serving great coffee and lots of delicious pastries and bagels. There are a number of tables both inside and out and the toilet was very clean. Enjoyed my visit and will return when I am next in the 'hood.

This is a neighborhood, no frills cafe that serves up really good food with fresh ingredients. I'm not vegan but I'm addicted to their vegan breakfast bagel, which has hummus, tomato, cucumber, thinly slices onions, and avocado on a toasted bagel of your choice. It's substantial and filling, but very light and delicious all at the same time. My husband likes the bagel with egg cheese and bacon. Service is always friendly and efficient. And the prices are really reasonable. You order and pay at the counter and then someone brings out the food to you when it's ready.

My daughter and I came to get a quick breakfast. I got a breakfast bagel with coffee and my daghter got a croissant breakfast sandwich with a mango pineapple smoothie. The food was good and the coffee was hot 🔥 just how I like it. Oh, I also had a slice of coconut bread which was really good. 😋

I love to come here. The coffee is great, but the bagels even better! And the sweet treats are amazing

I stopped by El Café this morning and so glad I did! The food was delicious (croissant and chai latte) and the folks are very kind and welcoming. I grabbed a spot against the wall so I could look out onto the park. Very pleasant place to read, work, etc. Thank you!

Food delivery. Ordered Breakfast Burrito and added bacon, Tuna Melt and Mexican Mocha. Food was nicely packaged. Didn’t leave comment of service or atmosphere because it was delivered.

We have never ordered food from this location, but this cafe is open bright and early in the morning. To get our daily caffinee or should I say sugar fix, the products are very great and original. It is everything you would expect from a local cafe, and a great place to study. The staff are very friendly, and it was a overall very enjoyable experience.

Little corner store Café offering bagels, paninis, smoothies, salads and hot (coffee, hot chocolate etc.) and cold beverages (iced coffee, iced tea and sodas). I had the breakfast wrap, it was very good. My mom had a plain bagel with butter and jelly and a Latté. She liked all of it. Overall it was a very good place to grab a quick breakfast but definitely not a bargain place. One wrap, one plain jelly bagel, can of diet Coke and a large Latté was $19. I guess $10 per person is the going rate for breakfast these days. I wish they would've kept the front door closed, it was a little chilly in there.

Good little breakfast place, plenty of options, bagel, toast, burito and more. Salmon bagel was very fresh and delicious. Banana bred was good too. Latte was ok!

Nice cafe in Parkside right around the corner of McCoppin Square. Service was friendly and prices are reasonable. There are a few small tables outside and across the street is a park with benches. I had a Parkside Panini and it was pretty delicious, bread was pressed warm and crunchy, and the red pepper mayo gave the taste a great highlight.

It is currently open for indoor dining so you can definitely come here to chat indoors, do some work on your laptop and just relax. I got the latte which is why I gave a four star, the latte was a little burnt after-tasting which definitely didn’t feel good. The breakfast burrito was super delicious, tasting super fresh and healthy but still being very flavorful.
